The two studios are once again working together, with Tom Holland's hero set to star in two more films.

00:11In a shocking twist of events,

00:12Disney and Sony have returned to the table

00:14and struck a deal that would see Disney slash Marvel

00:16produce another Spider-Man film for Sony.

00:19The new movie even has a release date, July 16th, 2021.

00:23This comes after Disney and Sony publicly parted ways

00:25over a deal gone south in August.

00:27Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige said,

00:29I'm thrilled that Spidey's journey in the MCU will continue.

00:32And I and all of us at Marvel Studios are very excited

00:35that we get to keep working on it.

00:37Spider-Man is a powerful icon and hero

00:39whose story crosses all ages and audiences around the globe.

00:42He also happens to be the only hero

00:44with the superpower to cross cinematic universes.

00:47So as Sony continues to develop their own Spidey-verse,

00:50you never know what surprises the future might hold.

00:53MJ, I am Spider-Man.

00:55No, of course I'm not.

00:57I mean, it's kind of obvious.

00:59Also as part of the arrangement,

01:00Spider-Man will appear in a future Marvel movie.

01:08To celebrate the news, Tom Holland posted this clip

01:11from Wolf of Wall Street on Instagram.

01:13I'm not leaving.

01:14Now, terms of the new deal were not revealed,

01:15but we do know that it will allow Marvel and Feige to produce

01:24and run creative point on one more movie

01:27that would star Tom Holland as the web-slinging superhero.

01:31Depending on how things go,

01:32more movies could be in the future.
