00:45was already halted after the director self-isolated.
00:49Meanwhile, late-night hosts on Thursday confronted
00:51how the coronavirus pandemic was affecting their programs.
00:54The New York City-based shows of Stephen Colbert,
00:56Seth Meyers, and Jimmy Fallon
00:58all taped without audiences on Thursday night.
01:01And now, all three shows have shut down production.
01:04The earliest new shows could air is March 30th.
01:06In Los Angeles, former Democratic candidate
01:08for president Pete Buttigieg stepped in
01:10for host Jimmy Kimmel on ABC,
01:12and also did so without a live audience.
01:15Instead, a few Jimmy Kimmel Live staffers,
01:17some friends, and Pete's husband, Chasten,
01:19made up the sparse crowd.
01:20This was not our plan.
01:21We just decided this a few hours ago.
01:23And it's disappointing, because as you all know,
01:26I love to crowd surf.
01:27It's kind of my thing.
01:28In more late-night news,
01:30after Tom Hanks tested positive for the coronavirus,
01:32Trevor Noah had a thing or two to say about it on his show.
01:35This man's already been through so much.
01:37I mean, think about it.
01:38After the war he's been through,
01:39and that time his plane crashed,
01:42and he already had to deal with his dog dying,
01:44I feel bad for him.
01:45The host of The Daily Show on Comedy Central
01:47dedicated a portion of his monologue
01:49to expressing his shock of learning
01:51that the actor and his wife, Rita Wilson,
01:53both tested positive for COVID-19,
01:55and revealed that maybe there's
01:57a bigger message at play here.
01:58It's almost like coronavirus chose Tom Hanks
02:01just to send a message to the rest of us.
02:03You know, like prison rules,
02:04just like if I can get Hanks, I can get to anyone.
