00:00Around 8.10 p.m. on Tuesday, residents of Sandy River Mason Hall observed a gray Nissan Tida proceeding east along Sandy River came to an abrupt stop in the vicinity of Basquise Mini Mart, commonly called Martin Shop.
00:17Men armed with guns then alighted the vehicle, firing several shocks. The men then re-entered the vehicle, which immediately sped off.
00:25Israel Collins, aged 23 years, of Sandy River Mason Hall and Maloney, Trinidad, who was standing under a tent at the side of the roadway, was later discovered lying motionless on the ground near the Mini Mart, nursing multiple gunshot wounds about his body.
00:42Businessman Kenneth Utley spoke to TV6 News.
00:46I was at my business place, and then I hear loud noise, two shots, that sound like gunshots. And then I hear like a rifle came in, and I was just going non-stop.
01:01Mr. Utley said he ran out to investigate what was happening. Then he called the police.
01:07He said the incident is bad for businesses in the area.
01:34How do you feel about the ground issue?
01:36What do you mean? It's hurting. And it's not good for business. People are afraid to come around to shop and to lime and all these things.
01:44And I keep talking about the gathering by that place.
01:50I keep talking about it over and over. We have to do things different. It's just selling a little corner to water and things.
01:56But the kind of people sitting around there, you know, it's not looking good.
02:01And all the schools in Sandy River and all these things. And I have a business place there. Yeah, me here.

02:11The body was identified by Deborah E. Byrne, the mother of the deceased.
