Tobago recorded its 11th road fatality for the year, on Friday night. Dead is 33 year old Stephon Grant of Les Coteaux Tobago. More from Elizabeth Williams.

00:00Loud screams penetrated the air as 36-year-old Stephan Grant lay on the ground pinned below

00:13Grant was struck by another vehicle while standing at the back of his car, which was
00:18parked on Friday night on the Claude Noel Highway near Orange Hill in Tobago.
00:23According to police reports, at around 10pm on Friday, Grant parked his silver B14 Nissan
00:30Sentra on the southern side of the Claude Noel Highway in the vicinity of the Orange
00:35Hill intersection and was near the trunk of the car when a silver Volkswagen driven by
00:40Christopher Mirage of Daniel Street, Comby, Tobago, collided with him.
00:45Grant of Lickitoo was taken to the Scarborough General Hospital, where at around 10.30pm
00:52he was pronounced dead by the District Medical Office of Health, Dr. Malhow.
00:57Woman Corporal Price is continuing inquiries.
