00:00Dejan Melville, who was set afire on Wednesday, 8th January 2025 at Gaskin Bay Road, Bonacourt,

00:07Tobago, succumbed to his injuries on Friday, 17th January 2025 at the Port of Spain General

00:13Hospital.

00:14On Friday, 24th January 2025, advice was received from the Director of Public Prosecutions,

00:21Roger Gaspard SC, that Ezekiel Philip, 34, of Village Street, No. 1, Bonacourt, Tobago,

00:28be charged for Melville's murder.

00:30According to police, around 4.30am on Wednesday, 8th January 2025, a report of a man engulfed

00:37by fire was made to the Crown Point Police Station.

00:41By the time officers arrived, Melville had been taken to the Scarborough General Hospital,

00:46suffering from several burns about the body.

00:50Investigators later arrested Philip, who has now been charged with Melville's murder.

00:55He is expected to appear in court on Monday.
