A manhunt is on for those responsible for the murder of 37-year-old Clifford Ramsook, near a cornfield, in GOLDSBOROUGH Tobago. The drive-by shooting took place at around 6am on Saturday, bringing the murder toll in Tobago to fourteen. More in this Elizabeth Williams report.

00:00 Police said that they received a phone call at about 6am stating that a body was seen
00:07 in the Colesborough area near a cornfield.
00:10 Sources told TV6 News Clifford Ramsuk was seen leaving the area known as a gambling
00:16 hub when a car pulled up and the occupants fired several shots at him and another man
00:22 who was nearby.
00:24 Ramsuk slumped to the ground.
00:26 "Upon arrival we discovered the lifeless body of an adult male which was later identified
00:33 to be Clifford Ramsuk.
00:34 He's 37 years old from James Street in Goodwood."
00:39 Senior Superintendent Rodil Kirk told TV6 News Ramsuk was shot several times.
00:44 "There were apparent gunshot wounds.
00:46 As you can see the police are there doing their investigations.
00:50 It's always a sad situation when you see young people go like this but I want to assure
00:57 the Colesborough community that we are going to do our best in trying to bring the perpetrators
01:03 of this crime to justice."
01:09 When the body was being removed, gunshots were heard.
01:12 TV6 later learnt those shots were from a pellet gun which someone was using to shoot an iguana.
01:20 Meantime, Mr Kirk is pleading with citizens, if they see something, say something.
01:26 "The police are working, we are working on whatever so far we have been gathering and
01:32 you know we want to urge the people of the community to, you know, they can't feel comfortable
01:38 to come forward with any information that they want to assist the police with."
