00:00Malik Neighbors, the amazingly talented wide receiver for the Giants,
00:04who's out with the torn ACL, he put out a tweet and then deleted it.
00:08And his tweet was right on.
00:09The Giants were playing the Lions.
00:11The Giants are up by three.
00:12We can show you the tweet right there.
00:14And the Giants have a choice late in the game.
00:16Kick an easy field goal, go up by six, kick off.
00:20Let's even say Detroit gets the ball in the 30.
00:22They've got to go 70 yards with very little time on the clock
00:26and no timeouts left to try to beat you.
00:30But they didn't do that.
00:32Instead, the Giants decided to go for it.
00:34They don't convert.
00:35They don't get points.
00:36And now the Lions only need a field goal to tie you and go to overtime.
00:40And they kicked a 59-yard field goal to do exactly that.
00:44So Malik Neighbors is watching them going, dude, this is common sense.
00:48Like every kid that ever played Mad knows what you do here.
00:51And I've got to tell you something.
00:53Malik Neighbors is right.
00:55If the idea is to win the game, you kick the field goal,
01:00you go up six, you kick off, and now you ask your defense
01:04to just stop them from going 70 yards for a touchdown.
01:09Right, 69 is allowed.
01:1069 is allowed.
01:11There you go.
01:12If the idea is to win.
01:14To win the game.
01:14And I understand when you're 2-9, the idea is to be very aggressive.
01:18I agree with that.
01:194th and 4, I don't care where you are, go for it.
01:21Go for it.
01:22You know, all that kind of stuff.
01:23But when you have a chance to win the game, go win the damn game.
01:28Malik Neighbors is right.
01:29No, he's right.
01:30That was a bad job by the New York Giants.
01:32Now, are players allowed to say that?
01:35Well, you can leave it right away.
01:36Right.
01:37What he said was correct.
01:38The question is only should he say it.
01:41Because absolutely what he said was correct.
01:42I think when it comes down to something like that, and look, he's not with the team, he's
01:46not playing.
01:47I don't know if that makes it better or worse.
01:49You could probably argue either side to that.
01:51But the players also know when they've got a competent coach on the sideline and when they
01:56don't.
01:56Right.
01:57Right?
01:57They're aware of it.
01:58And while Kafka's not going to be the coach next year, the reality is that when you're dying
02:06for a win, right, when you can't find a win anywhere, and you've had all these other
02:10fourth quarter collapses, and now you've got a relatively easy one where just take the
02:16three points, go up six, and force them to score a touchdown to beat you.
02:23And instead, they barely got across midfield on that possession because they only needed
02:30a field goal.
02:31And I think Malik Nabors is right.
02:33My gut is they've already called him and talked to him, which is why he probably took the thing
02:38down or his agent said, Malik, take that down right away.
02:40That's not going to go well for you.
02:42But that doesn't mean he was wrong.
02:44No, I think what he said was absolutely correct.
02:46And look at it.
02:48Jameis has, what he has done is put the Giants in a position where they can win.
02:52They haven't won, but he's made them competitive in these games.
02:55Those, that locker room probably deserved a W.
02:57Yes.
02:57And needed a W.
02:58I mean, they've deserved a lot of Ws based on what the score was going into the fourth
03:02quarter.
03:02Yeah.
