00:16an executive director of college scouting that's throwing prop bets out and all this what was your
00:23takeaway on this story really troubling for the commissioner yeah dan i i think this is about
00:30the worst nightmare the nfl could have i mean they're very strict with their gambling rules as
00:34it is but when you have an upper level decision maker like that gambling on something related to
00:40the league where he may have we don't know exactly what props he bet but he may likely has some
00:45inside
00:46information about that that's that's exactly what the league would fear whenever you talk about like
00:50all the you know we have a lot of gambling going on now and it's becoming more widespread and all
00:55this stuff and we're sort of agreeing to deals with these companies but we got to make sure the
00:59integrity of the product remains so this is about one of the worst things that could happen from a
01:04gambling perspective for the league i mean the only thing that could be worse is if a player
01:09impacted the on-field product and you know through a game or something we've not heard anything about
01:14that but i think the nfl is going to come down pretty hard on this with whatever punishment is necessary
01:19to just use this as a case and say hey this is not allowed no one can do this if
01:24you think you can
01:25get away with it you can't so i'll be very interested to follow how this story unfolds and develops but
01:31certainly this is exactly what the nfl would have feared when they you know weighed the pros and cons
01:35of saying hey we're going to get involved with this gambling stuff we're going to promote it so
01:39it could end up being a big mess stand so we'll see where they go from here
