00:11combines a highly efficient hybrid drive with a powerful commercial vehicle.
00:18With an electric range of up to 43 km,
00:21the new Ranger Plug-in Hybrid not only enables locally emission-free driving,
00:25but also significantly reduces operating costs while remaining the robust,
00:30powerful workhorse that its fans have valued for over 25 years.
00:36The new model is available in the exclusive StormTrack Special Edition
00:40as well as in the WildTrack and XLT trim levels.
00:45A technical highlight is the Ford Pro Power Onboard System,
00:48which is being installed for the first time in a Ranger
00:50and provides an output of up to 6.9 kW via the high-voltage battery.

01:21The new powertrain delivers more torque than ever before in a Ranger series,
01:28while also enabling zero emissions in cities or on short commutes.
01:35The new Ranger Plug-in Hybrid is manufactured at the Silverton plant in South Africa.
01:40Deliveries to European customers have already begun.
01:43The Ford Ranger will remain the market leader in its segment in 2024 for the 10th year in a row.
01:52An impressive market share of over 43% is also impressive.

02:54the internal combustion engine or regenerative braking.
02:59A full charge takes less than 4 hours with a single phase 16-amp charger.
03:03The range of up to 43 kilometers in electric mode covers more than the daily driving needs
03:11of 52% of all Ranger customers.
03:14In combination with the Ford Pro Home Charging Solution,
03:18commercial customers benefit particularly strongly.
03:21According to Ford, those who drive around 80 kilometers a day and take advantage of low-cost
03:26electricity tariffs can save around 1,000 euros per year compared to an equivalent model
03:30with a 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine.
03:34Drivers can choose from a variety of modes to use the electrical energy.
03:39Auto 4, IV Now, I Later and IV Charge offer maximum flexibility depending on their needs.
03:46The modular hybrid transmission, which integrates the electric motor directly into the transmission
03:51bell housing, ensures seamless transitions between drive types and optimized power distribution.
03:55An electronically controlled clutch determines whether the petrol or electric motor,
04:01or both together, are active, depending on the driving situation.
04:05This technology noticeably increases both smoothness and ride comfort.
04:11Even when the combustion engine is switched off, for example in city traffic or at traffic lights,
04:15the climate and comfort functions are fully maintained.

04:25Known from high-quality headphones, with a maximum torque of 697 Nm and a system output of 281 horsepower,
04:33the plug-in hybrid not only surpasses all previous Ranger Series models,
04:37but also the 3.0 LV6 diesel engine in terms of pulling power.
04:44The hybrid really comes into its own when towing trailers are on steep inclines off-road.
04:48The immediate response of the electric motor, combined with the additional braking power provided by
04:56recuperation, ensures precise control, even when driving downhill or on difficult surfaces.
05:04Thanks to the electronically controlled I4WD all-wheel drive,
05:07the drive power is distributed flexibly between the axles.
05:11The system is supported by a transfer case with reduction and a rear axle locking differential.
05:19Depending on the area of use, drivers can choose between the driving modes normal,
05:23eco, sport, slippery towing, transport, mud tracking and sand in order to optimally adjust the torque.
05:30The Ranger plug-in hybrid also remains practical. A payload of up to one ton and a maximum towing
05:37capacity of 3,500 kg meet the requirements of the majority of pickup customers.
05:45The traction battery is housed in newly developed rear frame rails,
05:48which means that the loading area is completely preserved.
05:54A balanced chassis setup guarantees a high level of comfort and stable driving
05:58characteristics both on and off-road. For the first time, a Ranger offers pro-power
06:04onboard technology. The 2.3 kW version is ideal for leisure use,
06:12whether for charging e-bikes or operating a small refrigerator.
06:16The more powerful 6.9 kW option offers over 215 amp sockets with 3.4 kW of power each.
06:23Enough for a small construction site with an angle grinder, concrete mixer and lighting.
06:29Before developing this generation, over 5,000 customers were surveyed to find out how they use
06:34their Ranger. The finding, most use it for both professional and private purposes.
06:40The new equipment variants take this into account. Depending on requirements,

06:48Every variant of the Ranger plug-in hybrid offers a spacious double cab with 5 seats and a wide
06:55loading area on which a Euro pallet fits easily between the wheel arches.

07:07The interior also offers state-of-the-art technology.
07:11The Ford SYN system comes with a vertical 12-inch touchscreen,
07:148-inch digital cockpit and inductive smartphone charging cradle.

07:22lane-keeping pilot and reversing camera are included as standard.
07:27The WheelTrack variant features heated front seats and steering wheel,
07:30exclusive design elements and 360-degrees ambient lighting.
07:33The StormTrack Special Edition adds a high-quality B&O sound system with 10 speakers,
07:41matrix LED headlights and an adjustable sports bar.
07:46Numerous optional extras allow the vehicle to be individually adapted to any application.
07:52Particularly interesting for trailer owners is the Trailer Reversing Assistant,
07:56which makes it easier to maneuver the vehicle combination using a
07:59rotary control on the steering wheel and the 12-inch screen.
