00:01Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:04Today it's all about the new Ford Ranger Super Duty, designed as the ultimate pickup for real-work applications.
00:12Ford isn't standing still, even though the current Ranger is already very successful.
00:18Instead, the manufacturer is launching an even more powerful variant, the Ranger Super Duty, which has been specially developed for tough everyday work.
00:26This robust pickup is only sold in select markets such as Australia.
00:32It is not available in the United States.
00:36Visually, the Ranger Super Duty stands out with its higher ground clearance, a wider track with flared fenders, and new 33-inch General Grubber off-road tires.
00:47The hood has been redesigned and bears the Super Duty logo.
00:50The new Ranger comes standard with a frame-mounted steel front bumper, mounting points for additional driving lights, and a skid plate at the front.
01:04A custom-made snorkel is also standard, making it ideal for driving through deep water.
01:11Large exterior mirrors also ensure optimal visibility when maneuvering.
01:16Perhaps the most important update, however, concerns the towing capacity.
01:19The Ranger Super Duty can now tow around 4.5 tons, an increase compared to the 3.5 tons of the standard model.
01:29The new Ranger is offered in several body styles, including single-cab with chassis cab, super and double-cab chassis, and as a classic double-cab.
01:39This makes the Super D not only aimed at discerning private buyers, but also ideal for emergency vehicles.
01:46Development was carried out in close collaboration with fleet managers, private service providers, and over 50 companies.
01:56The result is possibly the most versatile Ranger ever.
01:59Some had hoped the Ranger Super Duty would receive the Ranger Raptor engine, but this is not the case.
02:08Instead, it retains the familiar 3-liter turbodiesel V6, which has been redesigned to meet the requirements of commercial vehicles.
02:16Ford has not yet released exact power and torque figures, but the engine remains coupled to a Z-Hang automatic transmission.
02:25Other technical upgrades include the standard installation of a 130-liter fuel tank, differential locks on the front and rear axles, and a reinforced chassis that can easily handle the increased towing capacity.
02:40A particularly practical feature is the integrated scale, which can estimate the current load in the cargo area.
02:49Prices for the new model have not yet been announced.
02:53These are expected to be announced closer to the market launch in 2026.
02:59As always, you can find the link to read the article in our magazine in the video description.
