00:00You may remember him from such films as the boat jacking of Super Ship 79 and calling all quackers.
00:05But now he's coming to you packaged in plastic.
00:07Here's your look at new Jack's Pacific, The Simpsons, Troy McClure.
00:22Immerse yourself in Springfield with the 5-inch skill action figure from Jack's Pacific.
00:26Each figure features multiple points of articulation to pose and play.
00:30He's Troy McClure.
00:31You might remember him from such films as P is for Psycho and Sorry, Wrong Closet.
00:35Add Springfield's favorite spokesman to your collection and recreate memorable moments from the show.
00:40I know Troy McClure is on the infomercial.
00:42I can't believe they invented it.
00:43But actually, I feel the opposite.
00:45I'm really glad to see that Jack's Pacific has, in fact, invented a Troy McClure figure to go along with all the other Simpsons, all the other Simpsons figures we've been looking at lately here on this channel.
00:53Now, I'll be bringing some of those examples in in a second.
00:56But first things first, of course, let's grab tape and see how tall the figure stands.
00:59I feel like he could be a little bit taller, but he still is going to stand about four and three quarters of an inch in height, working out to be a figure that's 12 centimeters tall.
01:07Other TV personalities, here's what the figure looks like along with Krusty the Clown.
01:11And, you know, maybe I'll backpedal just a bit.
01:13I said earlier that maybe Troy needed to be a tad bit taller.
01:15But I think if you're looking, though, at Krusty the Clown and you look at him standing next to him, I think he's still a pretty good size.
01:21Here's also what he looks like with Bumblebee Man and someone bringing in some of the other citizens of Springfield.
01:26Here's what he looks like with Barney Gumbel.
01:27Here's what he looks like also with Willie.
01:30And here's also what he looks like with Otto.
01:32He has many products.
01:33Jack's only packs him with two.
01:35Technically, though, the figure does come in clue with three accessories, but one of the accessories does belong to the Juice Loosener.
01:40Probably one of my favorite of the infomercials is the Juice Loosener, invented by Dr. Nick Rivera.
01:44It's Whisper Quiet.
01:47He does also come included, though, with a cup.
01:49Now, actually, if you look inside the cup, there's a little bit of drops of juice.
01:53You got all that juice from a bag of oranges?
01:56I love that they actually took the time to include the little droplets of what little is left of the juice that they pulled from the entire bag.
02:03This can, of course, sit underneath the Juice Loosener.
02:06I mean, there's not really a place that you can also store.
02:08I guess you could put it also maybe onto the top.
02:11But there is at least, though, a gripping hand.
02:13Actually, he does have, I wouldn't say he comes with two gripping hands.
02:15Really, one of them is a thumbs up.
02:17So he's recommending all the products that, again, that he's shilling.
02:19You can take yourself the cup.
02:21Just don't lose it.
02:22And there's a little lip, though, of a handle.
02:24Just kind of wedge it in between his fingers and his thumb.
02:27Careful, man.
02:28Careful.
02:29There we go.
02:30You can have him holding the Juice Loosener's what's left, at least, of the bag of oranges he can actually have held in his hands.
02:37And it holds, you know, again, it holds really well.
02:39Now, the other accessory, unfortunately, does have to be swapped out with the glass.
02:42The figure does also come and include with his air freshener.
02:44The breath freshener, I should say, doesn't have any label or anything on that.
02:48It doesn't have a removable lid.
02:49I don't feel like it really does necessarily need to either.
02:52This is one that's a little harder to get into his hands.
02:54You kind of really have to force that in there.
02:56Or you can also choose the route to go to the top.
02:59But either way, though, you might be finding yourself struggling, struggling to get the breath freshener in his hand.
03:04Either way, though, he recommends it.
03:06But let's get those accessories and move them off to the side, at least for right now.
03:10We'll probably come back to the Juice Loosener in a second.
03:12Getting a closer look at Troy McClure.
03:14What a great-looking figure this is.
03:15I guess the only other Troy McClure figure, I think Playmates, did, in fact, release one.
03:19Don't expect anything, though, from Super 7.
03:21Super 7, again, only released, what, four or five waves of Simpsons?
03:24And, again, all deep-cut characters.
03:26Even though, really, you could say that the late Phil Hartman did supply the voice of a deep-cut character, Troy McClure.
03:31But Troy McClure, though, is just as recognizable as Crusty the Clown.
03:34And he's one of my favorite things, though, about the earlier days of Simpsons, when, of course, he did premiere, did appear in some, again, those infomercials.
03:40Or, again, the many multitude of movies that he also starred in.
03:45Just a great-looking figure.
03:46I think Super 7 did, in fact, release also a reaction, five-point articulated figure.
03:51But this guy's certainly going to have a lot more than that.
03:53Head Sculpt, though.
03:53Head Sculpt does look fantastic, though, for Troy.
03:56It may be a little harder to see, but he does actually have a sculpted and painted tongue deep inside.
04:00Don't worry, his breath's fresh.
04:01You can actually see the teeth are nicely painted.
04:05Eyes, again.
04:05Like, paint, I think, is handled generally quite well.
04:08I don't think I've ever had yet a situation where Jax has poorly painted a Simpsons figure.
04:13Again, Troy McClure looks just a good from front to back.
04:15Again, the figure does have some decent levels of possibility.
04:18These are the larger five-inch scale figures.
04:19I don't know if they've...
04:20I don't think they've yet done a 2.5-inch scale.
04:23But, again, it seems like really Jax-specific is dedicating specific characters to specific sizes.
04:27So, again, while we are getting, I think, on Ned Flanders, Ned Flanders has only ever been released in a 2.5.
04:33I think maybe he's coming out eventually in a 5.
04:36But, again, it seems like they're really uniquely, specifically selecting those characters for those certain sizes.
04:41I'm waving, again, my fingers around.
04:43His tie looks nicely done.
04:44I mean, it's not just the case that they have painted it.
04:47They have, in fact, sculpted it in there as well.
04:48He's got his pink classic turtleneck on and white slacks, clean-looking shoes as well.
04:53Did he ever plug, like, shoe shine polish?
04:55I'm sure he probably has.
04:56The figure does also have peggles on the bottom sides of his feet.
05:01Posability, though, for Troy McClure is still pretty good.
05:03I mean, again, if you're familiar with all the Simpsons 5-inch scale figures, this guy's going to have same levels, same levels of possibility.
05:09While not having, though, a ball joint in his head, I mean, don't expect going into this that you're going to be getting a ball-jointed head for any of these Simpsons figures,
05:15I still think a head rotation is more than enough.
05:17Does he really need anything more than that?
05:19I don't think so.
05:20For his arms, his arms do rotate all the way around.
05:23Let's slow that down just a little bit.
05:24His arms do hinge out.
05:26I wouldn't necessarily want to sign on and say that it's a 90-degree angle bend.
05:30A T-pose, just a little less than that.
05:33You feel, though, like as you're bending his arm, okay, maybe you can pull a T-pose,
05:37but when you're, though, bending his arm, it does feel like it gets really tight in quarters here and here.
05:41The figure does have a bicep swivel, so it can swivel on this side.
05:45Oh, and yeah, it swivels on this side as well.
05:48You may be also able to spot, too, that the figure does have a hinge in his elbow.
05:51The hinge does allow, while it only really seems like it's a single hinge,
05:54does at least give him the benefit of a 90-degree angle bend.
05:58The hands do rotate all the way around, hinging back and forth,
06:00whether you want to go with the gripping hand for the juice loosener cup,
06:03or, again, if you want to go with the thumbs-up hand, they rotate the exact same way.
06:07Swiveling, swiveling in his waist.
06:09It does, for a second, feel, and in fact it is.
06:12The figure does have a ball joint, so you can move it up and down.
06:14You can rotate it all the way around as well.
06:17Toy's legs do split, but unfortunately don't split very far.
06:20That's as far as of the splits that he actually can pull off.
06:23His legs go forward, and his legs go back.
06:25Of course, he does also have the bend in the knee.
06:27The lower leg doesn't really rotate.
06:30I mean, it wiggles just by a little bit,
06:32but I think it's more just the way that it's been factory-made.
06:34He does have an ankle pivot.
06:36He does also have an ankle rocker.
06:37Did I say already the figure does have pebbles on the bottoms of his feet?
06:40I know I did.
06:41Yeah, I love the look of Troy McClure.
06:43Now, Troy McClure is still part of that same wave.
06:45I probably should have brought them in also as well.
06:47He is still of that same wave as the hockey bart and grandpa.
06:51I don't have either of those examples on the ready,
06:53but I do have Krusty the Clown, and I do have Bumblebee Man.
06:57So, you know, again, like if you want to have all your TV personalities
07:00all sort of gathered together, you can do that as well.
07:02Yeah, I really like to look at Troy McClure.
07:04I don't feel, I would hope, though, that, you know,
07:06people that are collecting these Simpsons figures that Jax is producing
07:09isn't just, again, hand-plucking certain characters.
07:12I only want a Bart.
07:13I only want a Homer.
07:14I only want, like, a Krusty the Clown.
07:15And maybe overlooking, like, a Bumblebee Man or a Troy McClure.
07:18I feel like these figures, these characters, are just as iconic as the main Simpsons fam.
07:24You know, Troy McClure, again, like the late Phil Hartman,
07:26who did provide, again, the voice of Troy McClure,
07:28one of the more recognizable, one of the more memorable characters
07:31that the characters of the, you know, again, the family of the Simpsons
07:34would be watching on TV, whether he's appeared
07:36in the many, many episodes of the infomercials that he's appeared,
07:39or, again, in the multitude of weirdly titled movies.
07:43Troy McClure, I think, is a welcomed addition to your Simpsons collection.
07:46If you have been collecting the Simpsons figures thus far,
07:49thanks to Troy who taught me as a kid that 2 minus 3 equals negative fun.
07:52And I've had nothing but fun looking at the Jack-specific new Simpsons figures.
07:56I do like, though, that while, yes, we've gotten a couple of variations of Barn,
07:59and we've gotten, what, like two versions of Homer,
08:01they have still at least released quite a lot of citizens.
08:04I mean, again, like, when you look at the ones that we've covered on this channel alone,
08:08I mean, there's so much more I know to look at when it comes to the 2.5-inch scale.
08:11But I really have to kind of look at my budget, and I have to think to myself,
08:14like, really, of the two, which would I be wanting to dedicate more time
08:17and more money towards.
08:18I feel like I like the articulated figures and the taller figures a little bit more.
08:22They don't accommodate clearly, though, the more diorama sets.
08:24So, again, if you want the Krusty Burger restaurant,
08:27that comes with the smaller Krusty Clown.
08:29So there's some things, some sacrifices, though, that have to be made.
08:32Again, I just can't dedicate to having to collect both of them.
08:35Getting, though, the 5-inch scale figures,
08:36I mean, look at how many we've gotten.
08:39A Troy McClure, a Bumblebee Man.
08:40Those would all be ones that I feel like, again, if another company was handling this,
08:44you know, again, we all know.
08:45We all know.
08:46If another company, though, was handling it,
08:48what likelihood would there ever be that we'd get a Troy McClure,
08:50even for that matter, a regular Homer Simpson?
08:53Never happened.
08:54Never happened.
08:55Jax is already doing it, and they're doing it really well.
08:57The articulation of the figure is where it counts.
08:59Sometimes, though, I've noticed, like, the elbow joints and knee joints
09:01get a little on the looser side.
09:03I've noticed that, though, with some of the figures that have had longer.
09:06Bumblebee Man's starting to get a little bit loose in his knees.
09:09I mean, it's unfortunately one of the things that kind of go with
09:11some of the Jax-specific figures,
09:13but it depends on, really, too, how vigorous you are.
09:15With the articulation, if you're moving the figures around
09:17and you're bending the knees all the time,
09:19then, yeah, much like regular human beings,
09:21looseness in knees, or I guess in humans would be generally
09:24tightness and cracking in knees,
09:25but you're going to be wearing away the joints.
09:28Yet still, though, for the accessory that the figure comes included with,
09:30the juice loosener, yes, that's a good thing.
09:32Comes included with a little cup, all that from a bag of oranges.
09:34Who would have thought it?
09:35And comes with the breath freshener.
09:37Thumbs up!
09:37I would agree.
09:38You can't see it right now.
09:39I've got my thumbs up.
09:40Job well done by Jax-specific,
09:42releasing a Troy McClure.
09:43What do you guys think of this figure?
09:44Let me know down below in the comments section.
09:45Have you, again, been collecting the Simpsons Jax-specific?
09:49And if you have, which size class are you guys going with?
09:52The smaller scale that, again, accommodates the diorama sets?
09:55Or, though you prefer, like I do,
09:57the larger 5-inch that have more additional possibility?
10:00By the way, though, BTW,
10:01I did get this from Facebook seller, Popeye the Toy Man.
10:05Yeah, you probably have already heard that name this week.
10:07You'll be hearing it again.
10:08I actually have picked up several figures recently from him.
10:12And we'll be looking at all those all this week.
10:14In the meantime, though, if you guys did enjoy this video,
10:17do it a solid throat like.
10:18You guys want to stick around for more?
10:19So, I hope so.
10:21Hit the subscribe, turn on that bell.
10:23And, of course, the biggest thing,
10:24the most important thing,
10:25come back because there's always going to be content
10:27coming your way.
10:29As always, thanks for watching.
10:30See you guys next time.
