00:31who that potential fifth pick could be and you know how they round out the draft so is there anywhere
00:37that Joe Shane and the gang has been so far that kind of makes you think hmm what are you

00:46there Joe what are you guys doing there not really but that does that I don't know his total itinerary
00:55like they do a good job if he showed up at the uh you know Delaware pro day or something

01:03good job of hiding that you know what I mean so he's been the expected places and I don't just

01:08Joe Shane uh John what I think's interesting Brandon is John Harbaugh is not a pro day guy
01:13we sometimes saw Brian Dable at pro days doesn't seem like John Harbaugh is a pro day guy I don't
01:18think he's been the one that we know of yet it's been mostly Joe Shane Tim McDonald Brandon Brown
01:24Dennis Hickey all the top level scouting executives they they hit Miami they're at Ohio State today
01:30uh LSU was yesterday um so they've been the places you would expect them to go and see the guys
01:38that are
01:38in the mix for the top picks but there's still more pro days to go and there's always that wait

01:44didn't know I didn't know you were there that we don't know about yet all right so I'm still waiting
01:48to hear hey Joe Shane was at Tulsa or somewhere still waiting yeah exactly everything's been tight
01:54lipped uh with that Giants franchise so far but you mentioned the Ohio State pro day is today you've
02:02got Sonny Stiles Arvel Reese Caleb Downs Carnell Tate they're all fighting to be taken in the top
02:09five so in your opinion is there anything that one of these guys can do at their pro day to
02:17convince
02:17the Giants to take them at five and which of these guys do you feel is still the best fit
02:25for the Giants
02:26I mean Ohio State pro day is basically like the the New York draft appetizer right Arvel Reese is
02:33probably going to go to the Jets number two and the Giants could pick any of Stiles Downs or Tate
02:38at
02:38five who do I think's the best uh fit for them right now today on March 25th of those three
02:44guys
02:44I would say it's probably uh Caleb Downs I think he gives them a chance to do a lot of
02:49different
02:50things on defense to be very creative I would have said a week ago I probably would have said
02:55Carnell Tate but they've done some things at receiver I would say right now of those three
02:59guys Caleb Downs is probably the most likely of the Giants picks yeah I think the Mooney pick
03:04kind of made them is gonna they're gonna look at a receiver maybe in that second round or possibly
03:10try and trade to get a a third round pick there's it's so deep at receiver this draft I think
03:16you can't
03:16miss on some of these guys within the first uh three rounds but let's talk about some of the teams
03:22that have already had their pro days we're talking Georgia Ole Miss Penn State LSU Utah they've had
03:29them already so are there any risers out there that made the reports that have caught your eye
03:36that the Giants could possibly grab in the draft I'll give you three uh Mansoor Delaney the number
03:45one corner in the draft from LSU lit his pro day on fire yesterday uh could he get like he
03:51makes
03:51sense for the giant he could be their starting corner he could maybe develop into their number
03:55one corner bump Paulson Adebo to two uh Greg Newsom to three I Deontay Banks to four or expendable
04:04um I would I I think the Giants need to add a corner it somewhere in the top two rounds
04:11I don't hate
04:12him at five I love him on a trade down if they're bumped down to nine or ten uh I
04:18think he somebody
04:19who really helped his stock he was probably a top 10 pick anyway maybe he gets to five or six
04:24now
04:24um Utah right tackle Spencer Fano again if the not a not a pick for the Giants at five but
04:30if they
04:31traded down uh he could be a right guard or a right tackle put him in the spot that right
04:37now is
04:37unoccupied because of Greg Van Roten still being a free agent so his arms measured significantly longer
04:46at the Utah pro day than they did at the combine we all laugh at that but that matters to
04:51NFL teams
04:52in terms of your extension uh guards have shorter arms than tackles so if you don't I think he measured
04:5832 and seven eighths at pro day instead of 32 and one eighths and those extra six eighths could determine
05:05what position he goes to I know that's hilarious but that's the way it is in the NFL and then
05:10Keontae Scott a corner at Miami not a first round pick again the Giants need corners boosted his stock
05:17I think he had a great pro day at Miami maybe somebody to look at for the Giants on day
05:21two
05:21all right we still have teams like Florida Texas Tech and Indiana they still have their pro days coming
05:27up those there are more schools but those are just some of the bigger names that are out there
05:32any prospects of any upcoming pro days you think Giants fans should keep an eye out on
05:39yeah I think the Giants will have a good contingent Friday at Arizona State's pro day
05:44uh that's Jordan Tyson the wide receiver been banged up quite a bit again not a prospect at five
05:51but his injury history could make him fall is he the third receiver off the board is he the fourth
05:58receiver off the board if he slips into the late 20s could the Giants make a move up from 36
06:03to get
06:04Jordan Tyson a real burner if he's healthy some people will tell you he's the number one receiver
06:09ahead of Carnell Tate uh the problem is he's just got such a long injury history history uh is he
06:16somebody the Giants could take a flyer on with a Jackson Dart like trade from the top of the second
06:20round into the back of the first uh that's Friday Indiana has a bunch of receivers everybody's going to
06:26be watching Fernando Mendoza but they have Omar Cooper Chaz Surratt uh day two guy um and Texas
06:33Tech tomorrow has David Bailey who's uh you know probably uh the number three or four pick in the
06:39draft but if he slips to five the Giants aren't taking an edge but if he's there at five then
06:44all
06:44of a sudden their pick becomes much more desirable to trade with so how he does the Giants might not
06:50be
06:51looking at him to scout but they might be rooting for him for other teams to want him if that
06:56makes
06:56sense lastly Ryan we're less than a month away from the draft all the storylines seem like they're
07:03set right now but we still haven't had that last second bombshell of a trade or news break what is
07:10what could be that bombshell like what are you thinking could be something that drops a news or
07:16a storyline that drops that changes completely everything within the first five or ten picks of
07:23the NFL draft okay so the giant uh at first I thought you meant the giant storyline like I still
07:29haven't ruled out the fact that they'll trade Kayvon Thibodeau for like to fill in the third round
07:34draft pick ice or or even trade him for a starter that like is similar to him like a fifth
07:41year option
07:42guy from another team and then all of a sudden you don't need corner because you traded Kayvon for
07:46another team's corner and that changes your draft needs so I haven't ruled that out but to when you
07:51say that could change the top five or ten picks Ty Simpson is it like there's a lot of buzz
07:57now it
07:57started with Dan Orlovsky at ESPN uh saying that he might be the best quarterback in the draft ahead of
08:04Fernando Mendoza the scouts I checked in say no I still think Mendoza is the best but the gap between
08:11one and two is closer than the gap between two and three as far as quarterbacks so if some team
08:17maybe
08:18the Jets wants to grab Fernando Mendoza and he's there at five that could shake up the entire draft
08:24board the Giants are team that I think would be willing to trade down so does a team trade up
08:28and go
08:28get Ty Simpson at five is that too early for him where Ty Simpson falls is the thing that could
08:34shake
08:34up the the Alabama quarterback is the thing that could shake up the entire draft and his pro day is
