10 November - National morning forecast presented by Liam Eslick
Transcript
00:01Hello there. It's looking like it's going to be an unsettled week for most people as
00:05we head towards the second week of November. But it will be a mixed start for most people.
00:10A bright start for Wales and much of England, but persistent rain across northern Scotland,
00:15which can be heavy at times. But all eyes towards the south, where we do have this band
00:20of organised heavy showers, which is moving its way north and eastwards through the afternoon.
00:25So we could potentially see some disruption in a few places, some surface water flooding.
00:30So do take care if you are travelling around on a Monday. But behind those showers towards
00:35the south and southwest, we will start to see some brighter skies as well, maybe just some
00:40isolated showers here and there. But with that southerly wind, it will feel rather mild once
00:45again. 13 and 14 degrees across the south, 10s and 11s across Scotland. Now through the latter
00:52part of the afternoon and in the evening, those heavier showers will push off towards
00:57the North Sea, leaving some clearer skies behind. But we will have some blustery showers again
01:02across Wales and through the English Channel, ahead of this second band of rain that is moving
01:07in towards the south and west by Tuesday morning. Otherwise, some clearer skies across eastern England
01:14and Scotland, which will allow those temperatures to drop away, feeling a lot fresher than what we've
01:18seen over the last few days. A lot of places getting towards those mid-single figures, maybe
01:24just a little bit milder across the southwest under that rain and cloud moving in.
01:29Now that rain and cloud will continue to move its way north and eastwards through the morning.
01:34Now it is potentially likely to be heavy at times. Again, more disruption possible, especially
01:39where it turns heavier across the northeast England and as it moves up towards southern Scotland
01:44as well and as well as Northern Ireland. And this heavier band that we've got across the southwest,
01:50which is likely to bring some pretty blustery winds. We could even see some gale force winds
01:54around the coastal regions here. But further towards the southeast, it will be a lot drier,
02:00maybe a bit cloudier at times. But again, another mild day to come. Degrees well above what we would
02:06expect for the second week of November. 14s and 15s quite widely. Over the northern parts of Scotland,
02:12we're looking at around 9s or 10s. Now as we go through the week, it is still likely to be
02:18a disruptive week. Plenty of unsettled weather to come. But to keep up to date with all the latest,
