28 September - National weather forecast presented by Liam Eslick
Transcript
00:00Hello there.
00:01It was a bit of a cloudy and unsettled start to the weekend yesterday for a few people,
00:06but Sunday will be a lot more settled with much more brighter skies to come.
00:10There is still this rain band that we've got across the south-east of England first
00:13thing this morning.
00:14Now that will slowly move its way out towards the North Sea through the morning and into
00:19the afternoon.
00:20It may drag its heels a little bit by the afternoon, but elsewhere there will be plenty
00:24of sunny spells throughout the day.
00:26There may be some fair weather showers developing across Scotland, Northern England and Northern
00:30Ireland by the afternoon.
00:32But further south, where we do have the best of the sunshine, it will be a pretty warm
00:36day with temperatures around 19 or 20 degrees, a little bit cooler further north, around the
00:41mid-teens around Scotland by the afternoon as well.
00:46Now as we go through the evening, that cloud towards the south-east will slowly, continually
00:50move its way out towards the North Sea and those showers will melt away, leaving a pretty
00:54clear night to come, which will allow those temperatures to fall away.
00:58So a much cooler night to come tonight than what we saw last night, and the risk of some
01:03mist and fog patches across eastern England as well.
01:07So like I say, temperatures will fall away.
01:09Most places around those mid to low single figures, there will be a risk of some grass
01:12frost, especially across Scotland and Northern England by Monday morning.
01:17But as that sun does start to come up and show its heat for the start of the new working
01:22week, a lot of that frost will melt away, as well as that mist and fog as well towards
01:27the east.
01:28So a bright start to Monday, although it will start to turn a lot more hazy with this cloud
01:32moving in from the west.
01:34We could see the return of those showers across western Scotland as well.
01:38But otherwise, a bright day, and it will feel rather warm.
01:42Temperatures towards the south-east once again, getting up towards 19 or 20 degrees, but under
01:47that cloud and rain up towards the north, again, a bit of a cooler feel across Scotland, around
01:52of 13 or 14 degrees here.
01:56Now as we go through the next few days and into the week, there will be a north-west-south-east
02:01split across the UK, but for all the detail, don't forget to head over towards our YouTube
02:05channel and hit subscribe.
