00:00The Jets having their first day after life, after Quinnen Williams and Sauce Gardner,

00:05obviously a historic trade, Brennan London, alongside of SMY's Janae Coakley.

00:11Janae, fan base feels some sort of way, but from a business standpoint, this made sense.

00:17And Aaron Glenn talked today about the opportunity they had to deal these guys away.

00:21I guess 24 hours after it all is kind of calming down.

00:24What's your thoughts on the whole trade situation?

00:26I mean, like you said, it was a business decision.

00:30NFL is all about a business and the opportunity.

00:32You don't say no if someone's going to offer you two first-round picks for a guy,

00:37and then when another guy offers another first-round pick.

00:40I mean, this is building foundations for a new team, a new general manager, to build for the future.

00:45So like I said, you can't pass out.

00:47Now, was I surprised?

00:49Heck yeah, I got a text message like, oh, wow, Jets.

00:52I'm like, oh, I mean, I kind of heard rumors that went in.

00:54I was like, oh, there's something like two first-round picks.

00:56I'm like, wait, what, Sauce?

00:57This is crazy.

00:58But again, when you saw the deal and you saw it was being offered for Sauce, you don't say no to that.

01:03Now let's talk about the guys who kind of remain back.

01:06Garrett Wilson, who you're going to talk to maybe later on this week.

01:09Brees Hall, we saw the tweets.

01:12How do you think that move, that trade, those trades are going to resonate in the locker room with these guys?

01:17You know them better than we do.

01:18Listen, I think, like you said, these guys know it's a business.

01:21They understand what's going on.

01:23I mean, Quinnen and Sauce were two guys that the locker room loved.

01:26These guys threw the heart and soul of this defense.

01:30But you guys got like Jermaine Johnson.

01:31You heard what Jermaine Johnson had to say when he tweeted that out.

01:34He said, you know what?

01:35My heart breaks, but we are building for the future.

01:38And this is a next game up, you know, next man up.

01:41So I think they're all like, wow.

01:43I mean, Garrett Wilson came in with Sauce.

01:45I mean, those two are linked together.

01:46They signed their extensions together.

01:47But you also understand, you know what?

01:49We got to do this.

01:50Let's do this.

01:51They believe in AG.

01:53They believe in what this Jets team is going to do.

01:55So I think as far as these guys are concerned, they're looking towards the future and what they can do to build it.

02:00And they believe in, like I said, AG.

02:01They really do.

02:02So now that AG and Darren Mugee has kind of shown their cards on what they're willing to do on the business side of things,

02:08Brees Hall up for a new deal.

02:11Jermaine Johnson up for a new deal.

02:12Now they have their chance to flex their power and flex the business side of things.

02:18You think that this move or these moves, these trades are going to hurt getting deals done with these guys when it comes time?

02:27I don't think so, no.

02:28I think, hey, if the money's right and that contract's good, do.

02:31And again, as far as Brees is concerned, I know there's one I was wondering, but Brees is a great quarterback, a great running back.

02:36And they've made it perfectly clear they want Brees here.

02:38And, you know, you're going to get a young quarterback in next year.

02:42You need a good running game.

02:43You've got a great line.

02:44I mean, look what Brees did against Cincinnati.

02:46I mean, as a running back and as a guy, you want a guy like that.

02:51Jermaine Johnson, this defense started playing the way this defense should have been playing when Jermaine Johnson was back in the lineup.

02:57He is that awful male.

02:59He's that guy that rallies them up.

03:01Jermaine Johnson is the guy you want on your defense.

03:04Lastly, do you think that this sends a message to the locker room?

03:08What, eight, nine weeks in the remainder of the season, this sends a message to these guys that, hey, you better play hard.

03:14You better be accountable for the way you play.

03:16And that he's kind of auditioning for core players for his culture going forward.

03:21I don't think so.

03:22I think this is – AG has – when he came in from the beginning, he said, I'm building a culture.

03:26You want to be here?

03:27This is what I'm building.

03:28And I think they're slowly building it.

03:30And, again, when this opportunity comes up, two first-round picks, you cannot say no.

03:35I do believe that Sauce was supposed to be part of it.

03:38But, unfortunately, when the phone calls – when someone calls and something like that offers, you've got to switch gears a little bit.

03:44So, I think the guys in this locker room already understand what AG is building and what that culture is even before this.

03:50Do we know who the quarterback is for Sunday?

03:53No, do you?

03:53No, I don't.

03:54I thought that's why you came here.

03:56I don't know.

03:56I'm just as shocked as he trades.
