00:00Tesla has a flying car, but as of right now, nobody knows who's allowed to drive this thing.
00:05Here's what's happening.
00:06Tesla showed off the new Roadster Thursday night at a SpaceX site in Texas.
00:10It drove up a ramp until it was upside down, flew off the end, and landed on its wheels.
00:15They also had it jump and do a flip over a line of parked cars.
00:19Musk told the crowd flying cars are real, while critics online say that isn't flying,
00:24it's falling with style.
00:25But the Roadster you can actually reserve doesn't fly.
00:28A separate model called Rocket is the only one with the full flight system.
00:33Tesla's own website says it isn't approved for public roads, and it's invitation only.
00:37It also hasn't laid out an FAA certification plan for the flying version.
00:42Production starts in 2028.
00:43But what do you think?
00:45Should a flying car be street legal, or does it stay on a test site?
