00:19So all of a sudden, it makes you look at things differently.
00:23Not that I ever took this game for granted, but when you miss time like that,
00:26you just can't wait to get back and have another shot at it.

00:31We got another opportunity, a special opportunity to turn this thing around.

00:43What was it like walking in the building as a year five veteran on this team?
00:46Yeah, I mean, whenever you think about it, it's crazy, man.

00:52I mean, there's some things that just come with the time, I guess, with the age.
00:56Certain young guys come in, they look at you maybe for how to do a certain lift
01:00or something like that that just came without me noticing, right?
01:03But, you know, that's the reality of it.
01:05It is my fifth year, and, you know, I can't believe it.
01:08But like I just said, man, I have a feeling it's going to be a special year.

01:39I mean, besides, you know, the stuff they're building
01:42and the way we've got to walk in and stuff like that, that's obvious.
01:46I would just say, you know, with guys like Double D and Minka in the building
01:49and then Geno on the offensive side and Tim Patrick,
01:54like these certain guys that just, I don't know, they have no –
01:59they don't have any past association with the last, you know,
02:02maybe blunders we've had.
02:04And because of that, they're bringing this winning mindset, winning energy
02:08that us as the younger guys and, you know, looking up to guys like that,
02:12we're trying to just latch on to it and get a better idea
02:14of what it takes to win at that level because they've done before, done it before.
02:17And I would say that's the main thing.
02:19I mean, the energy out there at practice today for the first day
02:21I thought was really good.
02:24You know, obviously you've got to clean up a lot of things,
02:25but the energy and the mindset, the intention was good.
02:28So, you know, all things we all feel good about
02:31and, you know, we'll see how this thing keeps going as we go along.

02:38I know there was hype a couple years ago,
02:40but have you felt this before coming into a season?
02:43I mean, it feels different this year.

02:52No, it's more just this group that we have, man.
02:55We've spent a lot of time together.
02:57We've put in throughout these OTAs

03:05and just making just the certain conversations that we've had
03:08in the team room, whatever it may be.
03:11They've set the table, right?
03:13And us as players, it's our job to go out now
03:15and get better every day at this point in the season.
03:17And then once the real season comes around,
03:19let's be ready to play on Sunday.
03:21Yeah, A.G. talked a lot about things that he wanted to change
03:24after his first year.

03:26You know, like everybody starts out and wants to.
03:29What are some of the things that you've noticed,
03:31whether it's been the offseason OTAs
03:32or even, you know, very early?

03:36I would say just the communication line
03:37and the way A.G. wanted to build
03:40and maybe his, I don't know,
03:42his guys on the team that he wants to talk to
03:44and get that feedback from
03:45and then bounce his thoughts of, you know,
03:47we've got a feedback group or a leadership group
03:49that's been going on through OTAs
03:51and that is just fluid.
03:53It's like we're all aligned.
03:57And I kind of said that before,
03:58but that's one of the main differences I've noticed.
04:01And maybe it was his first year,
04:02so he's trying to figure out who the guys are
04:04that he wants part of a unit like that.
04:06But this year we're doing that
04:07and we've got some guys in there
04:08that just really get this thing, like I've said.
04:11And they're going to help us, you know,
04:12get over that hump.
04:13Who's in that group amongst them?
04:15I mean, I'm good.

04:18I mean, the guys, you would probably figure.

04:51or lunch or the locker room
04:53and stuff like that.
04:54You know, you don't realize it,
04:55but that stuff makes a difference, you know, 100%.
04:58When we spoke to Breece yesterday,
05:00he's talking about competing with you
05:01and being the best player on offense, too.

05:07Nah, he'd like to talk to that,

05:15and when you got a bell cow like that
05:17that can take on the load

05:26and I know he's excited about that.

05:32that boy, he's special, man.
05:33So the conversations we have,
05:34I wouldn't say it's straight like that,
05:36but along the lines
05:38and just make sure we're holding our end.

05:43to, you know, the top of the line
05:45if we want to have a chance
05:45of doing what we want to do.
