I mention some deeper research into medical biller R1 RCM. It was announced in August, 2024 TowerBrook Capital Partners and Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R) would acquire the healthcare technology company in a deal that values it at $8.9 billion USD. TowerBrook and nonprofit hospital operator Ascension Health were the company’s largest shareholders. Ascension (19 states / 140 hospitals, 160000+ associates & 36000+ affiliated providers) is R1 RCM''s top client.

In December 2023, R1 RCM settled a stockholder's litigation lawsuit in which it was charged that R1 directors as well as the Company’s controlling stockholders, Ascension Health Alliance and TowerBrook Capital Partners, breached their fiduciary duties in connection with the negotiation of a recapitalization transaction and adoption of an investor rights agreement containing provisions. A settlement was reached for $45,400,000 USD.

Leading up to this, I mention the insights of a 2023 94 page report by Jehoshaphat Research. Accroding to WIkipedia, there, "it's asserted that RCM's “revenues and profits are grossly overstated,” that certain reported revenue growth has been “derived from inputs based on assumptions about future collections” which will eventually “collapse,” and that the Company's revenue is “chronically inflated.” The report also points out that RCM has “recently seen the departures of the CEO, CFO, CCO and CSO,” which “speak to the risks [that] have surfaced.”"

I share a bill I received from R1 RCM Medical Financial Solutions PO BOX 42008 Phoenix AZ (Arizona) 85080-2008 USA for $2,185, stemming from a 4/22/19 ER visit at Saint Vincent East's Hospital (Ascension), Birmingham, Alabama. I would like the bill collector to see who they are collecting money for and for what reasons. I was misdiagnosed this visit, told I had no injury in the CT scans of my head and cervical neck regions (analysis was provided by Doctor Julian Patrick Druhan). I later obtained my records and found in the images that I had broken the underside of my skull, contrary to what I was told. I was later billed the above amount.

My own experience going to an Ascension ER in Birmingham, AL. in 2018-'19. I found that when my disposition was qualified as "self pay" (no insurance or stated source of income) I did not receive adequate medical treatment and was told no injuries appeared in X-Rays and CT that show I had broken my skull (an injury I almost died from - see images in video). Furthermore, you can hear in recorded phone calls in my other videos the lengths other professional doctors will go to support this fallacy. Millionaires who went to college for 10 years to do their jobs risked their professional reputations versus correcting mistakes.

00:00Alright, as always, you can go to YouTube channel My Medical Nightmare and see video on everything that happened to me.
00:08Alright, in this world you got little scams, you got big scams.
00:12Little scams like what happened to me that you can see in over 100 hours of video on my channel.
00:19And then you got big scams, like how the partners of health providers Ascension conduct their day-to-day business.
00:27I'll mention a little bit more, an R1 RCM announced to have been taken private in an $8.9 billion, as in B, dollar U.S. deal in August 2024.
00:42Then it was revealed Tower Brook Capital Partners and Clayton W. and Rice would acquire the Healthcare Technology Company, which also handles billing.
00:51Tower Brook and non-profit hospital operator Ascension Health were the company's largest stakeholders at that time.
00:59Ascension operates in 19 U.S. states, 140 hospitals, has 160,000 associates and 36,000 affiliated providers.
01:10R1 RCM's number one client.
01:13This company handled a bill I received for over $2,000 in my 4-22-19 emergency department visit at then Ascension St. Vincent East Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.
01:27I'll go more into what happened to me later in the video.
01:30As you dig deeper into the operating history of R1 RCM.
01:34And about a year prior to this previous development, I had some pretty deep difficulties.
01:40This culminated in December of 23 when R1 RCM settled a stockholder's litigation lawsuit in which it was charged that the company breached their fiduciary duties.
01:52They entered into a settlement worth $45,400,000 cash.
01:59You're interested in the economic and financial details of some of these corrupt partners of Ascension.
02:06There is a 94-page report published by forensic accountants, criminal investigators, journalists, lawyers, and investment professionals.
02:17Jehoshaphat Research into R1 RCM's bookskeeping.
02:23Therein it's alleged that the company's revenues and profits were grossly overstated.
02:29That certain reported revenue growth was derived from inputs based on assumptions about future collections, which they predicted would eventually collapse.
02:39And that the company's revenue was chronically inflated.
02:42The report also mentioned there was a mass exodus of corporate leadership from the company, including the CEO, CFO, CCO, and CSO.
02:51You've reached the Ascension System Office General Mailbox.
02:55After the tone, leave a detailed message and someone will respond to your call.
03:00I'm trying to reach CEO Joseph Impechike, and he can contact me at that number.
03:09And I have a message that I would like to give to Ascension.
03:13Between 2018 and 2019, I was an emergency department patient at Ascension St. Vincent's East Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.
03:22I believe I had broken my neck, I had an x-ray, two CT scans, and later an MRI looked at by Ascension St. Vincent's doctors.
03:33Each time they had told me I had no injuries in this area, I knew their diagnosis was an error as my condition worsened.
03:41The area became infected and infested with parasites by summer of 2019.
03:46I almost died.
03:47I obtained my medical records from your hospital, along with the x-ray, CT, MRI imagery, and discovered the truth of my injury.
03:55I had broken bone in the underside of my skull, in the area of the condylar canal, and occipital condyle.
04:01How the doctors could admit such a large and serious injury over multiple hospital visits is inexcusable.
04:07I believe some element of organized corruption may exist in this hospital.
04:11I have compiled over 10 hours of video documentation on what happened to me on my YouTube channel.
04:19And the name of the channel is My Medical Nightmare.
04:22I believe I may have been a victim of patient dumping in the course of my seeking treatment, which is a violation of EMTALA, E-M-T-A-L-A.
04:32When I told medical staff associated with Ascension about my discovery, that I had been misdiagnosed repeatedly,
04:40I was personally attacked and my psychological state was challenged.
04:44And this is reflected in medical records I obtained later.
04:48I could not obtain proper treatment or diagnosis for this injury, because doctors and nurses that I would subsequently have encounters with
04:59would only entertain what the erroneous Ascension ER findings were.
05:04My mother, who was a nurse for 20 years, had the misfortune of working in an Ascension hospital.
05:10When I questioned my MRR findings involving St. Vincent's Ambulatory Healthcare Network, LLC, and Dr. Michael Brandt Ruff, MD, radiologist, in March 2019.
05:23My mother, who was a nurse for 20 years and worked in the Ascension hospital, she was terminated from her job there around the same time.
05:30And so this phone call, I challenge the misdiagnosis of Ascension St. Vincent's East Hospital, Birmingham, Alabama.
05:38And I challenge the policy of this hospital.
05:42And Mr. Impeachike, I think you need to look into this, please.
05:47Please listen to my message, look into what I'm saying, and you're free to contact me.
