OrthoAlabama Spine & Sports opened their Pell City Office in 2024 at 41 Eminence Way, Suite A. My issues: UNRESOLVED / OUTSTANDING as of October, 2026.

I was also a patient their in 2019 & give a run down of my issues with Dr. Perry L. Savage Sr. / OrthoAlabama Spine & Sports (1801 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL - near Trussville) 9/14/2019 $300 (CASH):

- Appointment at 3pm, I sat in the waiting room 2 hours. Walked out of the place near 6pm.
-Waiting area does not offer patient customer privacy (or security). A crude half wall / Chinese screen curtain separates patients from the sign in area where 4+ patients at one time give their personal details. Customers can be heard giving phi details (HIPAA) in the general waiting area adjacent to this section.
- I presented images of my own head (CT / MRI / X-RAY) (PRINTED OUT & ON DVD), clearly showing the issues (head trauma) which were not acknowledged by this 50 year professional, who graduated from The University Of Alabama School Of Medicine in 1968. I showed many of these images to Savage on the pc in the exam room and was told they were normal and showed no injuries. I paid this man $300 for his experienced opinion.
-Savage told me & noted in my chart my images were too low of quality to make a determination on any injury being present. In new findings in 2026 (SEE VIDEO), an analysis of those same pictures not only spotted fractured bone (in the C1 atlas of my neck) but contradicted Savages claim, I was told: "THE IMAGE IS A HIGH-RESOLUTION BONE ALGORITHM SLICE, WHICH IS APPROPRIATE FOR EVALUATIING OSSEOUS (BONE) INTEGRITY". Savage also told me several inch diameter infection surrounding the injury in other MRI images were normal, containing no injury.
-Physician Assistant Ben Jeter P.A.-C. sat in during this exam. He entered the room and never introduced himself. Dr. Savage never introduced him to me as well (not professional).
-When Savage wasn't looking at my CT, X-Ray and MRI images on the exam room PC, Jeter thumbed through the images. I showed the doctor a few of the frames containing my 3 inch diameter basilar skull damage and was told no injury appeared there even as I sat struggling to hold my head up on my shoulders after waiting 2 hours to see him.
-In another video I talked about a 2023 civil court case in which Doctor Julian Patrick Druhan was sued (after a patient died) along with Birmingham Radiological Group (3 of their MD's previously failed to note injuries in CT, X-Ray & MRI). OrthoAlabama may have a partnership or special working relationship with them. After the original MD's & hospitals refused to correct the errors of their doctors on my scans, when I took the images to subsequent providers, I noticed initially receptive attitudes immediately changed & turned cold after they did research on the origin of my scans.

00:00All right, as always, you can go to YouTube channel My Medical Nightmare and see 40 plus
00:07hours video on everything that happened to me.
00:10All right, heads up, Pell City, Ortho, Alabama, Spine and Sports, and Dr. Perry L. Savage
00:18announced in May 2024.
00:22They have opened up a branch.
00:25The location is 41 Eminence Way, Suite A, Pell City, Alabama.
00:32The satellite clinic is advertising specialized bone joint and muscle care by appointment.
00:40If you're located in Pell City and you're contemplating using Ortho, Alabama, I would urge you to do
00:47some research and think again.
00:49And it's based on my experience as a patient going to this medical practice and paying
00:58$300 to be examined by this doctor.
01:02And I'll play my last phone call to Ortho, Alabama, Spine and Sports, and Dr. Savage later on in
01:10this video and explain some details about what happened to me.
01:14You can find hours of documentation on my experience at my YouTube channel.
01:20I was referred to this clinic after a visit to American Family Care.
01:25That's AFC Urgent Care.
01:28I later found that clinic was employing state of Alabama licensed medical doctors who were
01:35giving out false names to patients.
01:37That's against the law.
01:38When I got to 50-year experience, orthopedic surgeon, Perry L. Savage Sr. in 2019, I had
01:49a broken skull injury that I almost died from, six inches of infection present in my head,
01:56improperly attended to and untreated, and had three-inch long insects and parasites that
02:04had grown in this wound.
02:05All of these are visible in medical imagery, which you can see on screen and in other videos
02:12on my YouTube channel.
02:14And yeah, I think Dr. Savage, after 50 years, he's probably seen about every bone injury possible.
02:21I showed him CT MRI and X-ray on a CD-ROM where we're both looking at the same computer
02:27screen.
02:28Clear injuries in diagnostic medical images.
02:32And he sat there looking at these images, and he told me with a straight face that I had
02:37no injuries present.
02:38I was uninsured.
02:39I was a self-paid patient.
02:41No source of income.
02:43And I believe I was patient-dumped by Dr. Savage and Ortho Alabama Spine and Sports because of
02:50this status.
02:51This is unacceptable.
02:52People out there, yeah, when you read these warm and fuzzy articles, think twice and do
02:59your research on these millionaire doctors.
03:03Here's my call to Ortho Alabama Spine and Sports.
03:08This is from 2022.
03:10I have yet to receive a return phone call from this.
03:14I've been trying to get resolution in this issue for four years.
03:18They got my money, $300 cash, I got no services, and that's where it stands.
03:27Thank you for calling.
03:28Ortho Alabama, how can I direct your call?
03:31Yes, ma'am.
03:31I'm trying to reach Orlean Bruce.
03:34Okay.
03:37She is currently out of her office.
03:40Would you like to leave her a voicemail?
03:42Yeah, she just called me about a minute or two ago.
03:45Oh, she did?
03:46Yeah.
03:47I'll try her.
03:48What's your name?
03:49Well, wait a minute.
03:50I thought she was out of her office.
03:51Is she back in her office now?
03:53Well, it's a little early, but she could have been back by now.
03:58Yeah, you said it was a little bit early for her.
03:59Early for me back from her lunch break.
04:04Okay.
04:04Can you tell me what you do at Ortho Alabama Spine and Sports?
04:08I'm the office manager.
04:10Okay.
04:10Yeah.
04:10So I had an issue with one of my visits.
04:15Okay.
04:16You want to tell me about it?
04:17Yeah, I sure do.
04:20Okay.
04:20This was on September 4th, 2019.
04:24So I came in.
04:25Yeah, I came in.
04:26I had an appointment.
04:28Waited about two hours before I saw this doctor.
04:31Yeah, and I had an appointment at three o'clock.
04:34Waited two hours after my appointment.
04:36So I didn't leave this place until probably like six o'clock in the evening.
04:40But yeah, anyways, I saw Dr. Perry L. Savage Sr.
04:46Uh-huh.
04:47And I came out and was complaining about major neck pain.
04:51Okay.
04:52So I saw this doctor.
04:54And this man, he graduated 1968 Alabama School of Medicine.
04:59He's been a doctor, orthopedic doctor, for 50 years.
05:02Okay.
05:03So he's probably seen about every injury that's possible.
05:07That's my guess.
05:07Uh-huh.
05:08So, okay, I went in.
05:09I brought in CT images, MRI pictures, and x-rays.
05:15And I showed this man MRI and CT images that show that I had a broken skull.
05:23I had broken the underside of my skull in the area of the occipital condyle and condylar canal.
05:29Possibly foreman magnum was also fractured or broken.
05:32And by the time I got into his office, also, this area had become infected over the course of about
05:40a year where it had gone unmanaged.
05:43And yeah, in the MRI pictures, you can see infection that goes out about six inches in diameter.
05:49It's in my jaw, my upper neck below this injury.
05:52So anyways, yeah, I showed these images with injuries to this very experienced doctor, Perry L. Savage Sr., and he
06:00told me with a straight face when I was pointing out these injuries in these pictures that I had no
06:05injuries in my MRIs and CTs.
06:08And he even wrote this in his records that he had looked at the CT that I had done at
06:15Ascension, St. Vincent's East Hospital.
06:17It's right down the road from you guys.
06:18So yeah, I wanted to try to get in touch with Dr. Perry L. Savage.
06:22Paid $300 for this visit, and I feel that I didn't get adequate services for my money that I paid.
06:28Wondering if he would like a chance to correct this error because he misdiagnosed me.
06:37Um, I'm sure he gave you his opinion.
06:41Uh, he gave me the wrong opinion, ma'am.
06:44It's incorrect.
06:45I have injuries here.
06:46This doctor's job, uh, and what I paid him to do was to diagnose this injury.
06:51He did not do that.
06:55Well, I can, I will be happy to relay, um, your concern with him.
07:02Um, okay, well, you're certainly entitled to your opinion.
07:05Yeah, I certainly am.
07:07And I, actually, I'm not happy about what happened to me either, ma'am.
07:14I, I will be happy to let Dr. Savage know.
07:17Okay.
07:17Yeah, please, yeah, please do that, okay?
07:19So he'll, he'll call me back when?
07:23Sir, I have, I, I don't know.
07:25I don't have his schedule in front of me.
07:27I don't, uh, he's, he's in clinic all day today.
07:32I can't give you a time.
07:34Okay, yeah, this is a very serious matter, uh, what happened to me.
07:37Should concern you as well.
07:39You should be in the business of, uh, of helping people with injuries.
07:44We do help people with injuries.
07:46Yeah, who?
07:51Who?
07:52Because, uh, he didn't help me.
07:56I would be happy to relay this conversation to Dr. Savage.
08:00Yes, please do, ma'am.
08:01Uh, and I, I'll wait that, uh, that call from him.
08:04Thank you for your call.
