00:44:23The idea was to exude sexiness and femininity and something light, but at the same time with the edge of the metal detail.

00:44:35And so to me, that was the first thing from a technique point of view that stood out to me.

00:45:36The fabrics, specifically, make me feel a little bit like I'm looking at a shower curtain caught in a fishing net.
00:45:43It's a little visually confusing.
00:45:46I love the nod to lingerie.
00:45:49It's like a boxer short with the brief.
00:45:52I just feel like maybe if we lost the stomach piece, we would be having a different conversation.
00:45:57It could have been this really beautiful coat over something that's really overtly sexy.

00:47:03I take notes from everybody's critiques, top and bottoms.
00:47:06Trying to not be in the bottom.
00:47:08Tell us about your look.
00:47:10So my look was inspired by the boyfriend's shirt, but the girlfriend's corset.
00:47:15And of course, he's a cool guy, probably have a bike and he has this cool bummer jacket.
00:47:20It was so wonderfully gender neutral and yet it had all the elements of gender.
00:47:27And that to me is a statement.
00:47:30You're an original.
00:47:32Coming from you, that's huge.

00:47:36These are all pieces that we've seen before, but you understand what you do well and you figure out ways to remix it and keep it fresh.

00:48:45I was thinking of how strong Black women in that era were and they had their own businesses and how beautiful the fashion was.
00:48:53A very modern version of 1920s.

00:48:58Just the restraint and the luxeness of the look when it came out.
00:49:04You made that panty out of silk wool which has absolutely no stretch in it and it lays like it's a spandex panty.

00:50:17I wanted to make a suit and play with the bomber and the lingerie part of it is the corset
00:50:25and a box of brief top that I incorporated into the pants.
00:50:29It's not bad at all.
00:50:31I felt like it wasn't a shining moment for you.
00:50:34I don't know whether that be the fabrication choice or the color choice, but I would wear
00:50:39the suit.
00:50:40You know what I mean?
00:50:41It's a nice suit.
00:50:43The undergarment part was like sort of an afterthought.

00:51:48So this is not my original look.
00:51:50Uh, about an hour before we ended last night, I had to edit a look.
00:51:55So, it was that pivot moment.
00:51:57What can you do in five hours to save the look and still do what you're supposed to do?
00:52:01I kind of love what's going on with a skirt.
00:52:04I think that the folding and the draping is really interesting and the fabric has joie
00:52:09vive to it.
00:52:10A joy of life.
00:52:12And then I get to the top and I go, huh?
00:52:15It's just kind of like she got like a really old table napkin stuck across her chest.
00:52:22For a challenge that's really about focusing on the undergarment and making the undergarment
00:52:27the star, it's hard to ignore that the top feels ill-fitting.
00:52:32It's unfortunate because that's where your eye immediately goes and it felt overwhelming.
00:52:37It was that pivot moment.
00:52:38What can you do in five hours to save the look and still do what you're supposed to do?
00:52:54It isn't something that I haven't seen before.
00:52:58It just wasn't that innovative, really.

00:55:04The undergarment was perfectly visible underneath it all.
00:55:07It looked like a million bucks.
00:55:09While Cara's was absolutely beautiful and stunning and exquisite,
00:55:13Rami went right tonight, I think, because he took the idea of the undergarment
00:55:18and showed it to us in a way that we hadn't seen.
00:55:21And it also was a very wearable garment.
00:55:24It's something that I would wear.
00:55:26I can see, like, Bella Hadid wearing that.
00:55:28Yeah.
00:55:29Like, coming out of the nightclub wearing that.
00:55:31Okay, so we have a winner?

00:55:36All right, let's move on to the tough part,
00:55:39which is to choose who will be going home tonight.

00:55:53And this hurts because I think there's aspects of this that I thought were fabulous,

00:56:38It was very reliant on the fabric.

00:56:47I feel like Coteau's look was uninspired.

00:56:54I know that we're talking about Coteau and Fabio, but there is also Laurence.
00:57:01She took a basic corset waist cincher and put it on a beautiful suit.
00:57:05And on a beautiful set of abs.
