01:29has been a long road I'm actually very much in awe it's damn near perfect fashion has always been in
01:36my DNA since I was 16 so um I got pregnant when I was 16 I got a letter telling me that I was accepted
01:47for fashion school the way that you're able to cut a garment is incredible as Alicia Keys would say
01:53that girl is on fire all right Brittany we all really respect that you have carved out a lane for
02:02yourself in fashion you've earned this spot in the top three thank you as a designer I have really
02:09learned that my aesthetic my craft and what I do best is enough this is unexpected coming from you
02:17and it's nice to see your range I'm seeing forward-thinking ideas from you this just looks cool if I'm true
02:25to myself and I can stand by my work and have that conviction then that is all that matters you guys can

04:46this is the very first type of like freedom to shop that works all around the garment district we have
05:01three and a half hours to shop Elaine really wants me to like lean into who I am so my strategy is to
05:08create a collection that embrace this active wear path but also progressing into active wear as like
05:15evening wear and use color tell a story of things that just get more and more intense onto the next I'm one of
05:24the most commercial designers in this competition but it doesn't mean that I can't give a very inspiring
05:30just absolute killer runway show hello how are you good my specialty is leather but I am going to do some
05:42things that people don't really expect of me which is playing with colors and try different types of
05:48fabrics to do like a mix so I have this color that color I have black I always listen to Madame Nina so
05:56I'm really playing with the masculine and feminine the hard the soft basically my collection is a marriage
06:02of the two yes baby that's what I'm looking for all the good signs today fashion is literally my diary my
06:09saving grace my religion the vibe from my collection is inspired by my process of grieving I want to
06:19showcase what I'm feeling and how I'm feeling I ain't balling on the budget this time I know for sure I'm
06:26going to use white creams black and different shades of red to be able to tell my story with my
06:34collection is my way of being able to honor my sister okay guys it's it's real it's real it's really
06:44than real hello hello room in order for me to calm my nerves and just making it feel at home I put up my

33:35my creations go down the runway it's a whole bunch of emotions and it's a moment you know what I mean
33:45when the finale look comes down the runway it is giving giving giving I love the model I love the
34:07look it was pretty clear from the beginning that she was going to close the show
34:11I mean of all the pre-designers every material she used has nothing forgiving I mean she's working
34:30with leather I am amazing this whole experience of Project Runway you always learn something when you
34:36come here about yourself about life things that you don't even know you're capable of doing so I'm

34:56she didn't go over the top couture she went designed real clothes and real sportive
35:02if I were picking a winner I'd be going with Vishne I loves that collection I haven't seen my baby in
35:12over two months it's been a while you know I have to say I think it's Laurence's game to take the whole
35:19thing I thought her collection was the most cohesive out of everybody's thank you guys you killed it all of
35:26you did an amazing job now we wait final three all-stars we are so incredibly proud of you so impressed
35:45by what you were able to achieve in just eight days and of course can we give it up for our guest
35:52judges today yes dad pose and Billy Porter it's overwhelming the three of you delivered three
36:03incredible different shows that relied on your unique point of view I am always so moved
36:14by fashion and I am so so happy to be here thank you thank you thank you Laurence hi so nice to see
36:22you a reunion my pleasure I think you're so talented five years on the show the best tailor I've seen
36:30thank you you all delivered a unique vision thank you thanks let's start with you Brittany okay let's do
36:37it tell us about the collection and your inspiration I wanted to show the progression of
36:43introducing color and introducing prints and then combining colors that you wouldn't think that
36:47you would ever you know put together yes it was eight looks but it's 21 pieces it's really fun to
36:53make you stood out but you stood out in a good way you found a way to put an evening gown in the
37:00context of your active wear world that you're building it's magical what you've been able to do to
37:07elevate the active wear slash athleisure space wow what an honor I think the really interesting parts of
37:16your collection were the pieces where you took the inspiration of active wear but did it in a more
37:22high fashion kind of luxury technique way it kind of took it to a whole new place my only criticism is
37:29off of the runway it could go a little costume your styling was phenomenal thank you you gave every
37:38girl that ponytail the hoops and the same boot but what most impressed me was the pant version of this and
37:48turning this pattern into a 3d perspective made me think wow you could do things on a bigger scale wow that's my heart is full thank you so much
37:58Brittany thank you it's me tell us all about your collection tell us about your inspiration you want
38:05to know everything I wanted to showcase the good side of things the not so good side when it gets a
38:12little rocky and then when you overpower the darkness and the things that kind of like build you to be the
38:17stronger version of yourself the first opening look showcase the innocence innocence kind of like in
38:23innocence my version of innocence and the red represent rage and the black just represent
38:30darkness this dress actually represents anxiety that you overpower to come I really love that this is
38:37called the anxiety gown because it doesn't feel like the anxiety is oppressive you got to that place
38:46where evening wear can become art so you did something very special and very moving for me
38:52today thank you Vishmi it was cohesive it was inspiring it was sophisticated and most importantly it was well
39:00edited thank you the juxtaposition of that kind of urban influence with the elegance of your work was
39:08genius fish me you always surprised me and as an editor I can see these on the pages of our magazine
39:17on celebrities your clothes just have that fashion with a capital F thank you Nina that means a lot the only
39:25look that I didn't think you needed was probably the latex gown gotcha because we've kind of moved away
39:34from the sleeves which used to be your signature and I think that you are a designer that has so
39:40many ideas you don't really have to stick to one thank you so much Vishmi all right Laurence my
39:47inspiration was Paris I'm an African girl I was born in Normandy so I wanted to bring both sides
39:54together and create my story which is like two worlds I usually don't really meet mm-hmm I love coming to
40:02project runway because I get to shop I want that we're gonna exchange numbers no problem I got you
40:08I need that Laurence you deliver garments that are so precise and well made I love that pull and
40:21push of the romantic with the hard that very sculptural jacket these are things that could look terrible
40:29together but we'll never do under your supervision thank you you exude an elegance and a sophistication
40:37and I can see evolution in your work but it's still signature the one look that I kind of had trouble
40:45with the purple thing yeah where'd that come from that wasn't the direction I was going with the suit but
40:50trust your gut is if you have that instinct I think pull it okay I love the duality of your inspiration but
40:58mostly I was excited to see a new side of you you were able to incorporate this joy this fluidity this
41:09poetry this romance and you turned up the volume in the history of project runway I think you make clothes
41:15that look more expensive than anything this show has ever seen thank you this is going to be an
41:21extremely painful difficult decision to make tonight but it's time for us to decide the winner thank you
41:32guys thank you an honor so we have three designers here who are worthy of winning the prize and
41:42unfortunately only one can win who do you see as the future of fashion right I feel like there is a case
41:51to be made for each and every one of these designers they just are so incredibly different for instance with
41:57Britney she's in a class of her own because she's designing for active wear with Britney she got
42:03eight out of eight I was impressed with all of it honestly I believe that she is capable of much more
42:13than just active wear but also there's nothing wrong with just having that absolutely repetition
42:19his reputation that's really good I like that that pant that she did she took the fabric and she turned
42:27it into that 3d little texture yes she's mixing colors and textures that are not that easy to mix
42:34that category is so important right now that active wear right my question is what is the longevity of
42:42that right so who has that longevity or who is looking forward to fashion Vishmi for me had the
42:50singular piece of the evening inside of that anxiety gown he gave us a really well edited a really
42:57thoughtful show that made you think the art on the finale piece but he added pieces of him and his heart
43:04in every single piece it was like a crescendo right yeah for eight pieces I thought that was very well
43:11done he created consistency through asymmetry from the hoodie dress to the top and skirt dress it kind
43:19of follows through and then it goes into a print which was really strong into the fringe dress not my
43:24favorite but that idea worked I didn't feel like it was fit properly he has these elements that could
43:30like rock the red carpet he reminds me of a Telfar yeah everything had like a street wear street style
43:36influence but ultimately the thing that caught fire were those bags that's the business some designers
43:44just love to make clothes but not he loves the accessory and the clothes well you know who I'd love to see
43:50make a bag Laurence oh her technique and her seaming those are the things that you really value in clothing
43:58she's just remarkable like every single stitch and moment was really brilliant she's a sexy tailor
44:07she's a sexy tailor with edge right but she's not a good editor because she had this purple thing I would have
44:13done anything to get rid of that the moments where she messed up were forgettable to me to the point
44:19where I would give her double points for each look that I loved because I loved it so much that biker
44:26jacket could not fit better and same with the skirt when this is a finale runway moment give me a little
44:34more sometimes wow doesn't need to be big it doesn't need to be we're talking about again I mean I'm a
44:38down guy and I'm just saying sometimes things can be quiet in their power and that speaks to her
44:45taste level yeah that's what makes her such a tasteful elevated refined sophisticated designer
44:50that red jacket and patent leather with the lace payette skirt was fabulous it's hard all of them have
45:01that super power that will make them a phenomenal winner mm-hmm okay do we have the winner of Project
45:11Runway season 20 yes we do yes
45:15designers today once again we're witnessing the relentless power of fashion it has been a real
45:38honor to be sitting in this judging chair for 20 seasons we are so proud of all three of you but
45:49there can only be one winner and tonight one of you proved that your brand is ready to take this
45:56industry by storm and we are ready to watch you shine the winner of Project Runway is
46:06I've dreamed of winning Project Runway ever since I first seen Christian on his season then to be here the
46:34second time and win it honestly felt like the kid in me is just extremely proud and just excited as hell
46:41I thank y'all so much for this I miss my sister so much and um before she passed away she told me I was
46:52gonna win um all I had to do is just believe it and this just right here just showcased to me
46:58everything I've been fighting for is worth it I owe this win to my sister my biggest fan
47:05the first person who didn't judge me for doing something outside the norm and she was there to
47:14allow me to blossom and fall deeply in love with my creativity
47:20I know my sister is looking down and just happy and smiling from ear to ear
47:32you're everything baby I love you not only am I about to have a mentorship from the CFDA I'm about
47:38to have PR representation which is like amazing and then the $250,000 is just about to change
