What's the Exponent Edge Flex Wedge?
--

The Flex Wedge is an adjustable slant board /calf block that replaces other products that only do one thing.

I can use it for calf raises, heel elevated squats, deficit lunges, as a T-bar row platform, and other exercises such as those in the Knees Over Toes Program.

00:00Today I'm reviewing the FlexWedge 2.0 by Exponent Edge. It's an adjustable calf lock that lets me do
00:04multiple lower body exercises with one product instead of having multiple products that do one
00:09thing but take up more floor space. And I can do that by changing the angle of the platform on top
00:15into six different positions so I can use it for different lower body exercises such as
00:20calf raises, I can use it for heel elevated squats, I can use it as a deficit platform for
00:25reverse lunges, deficit lunges and I can also use this as a t-bar row platform whenever I'm doing
00:31landmine rows. So it replaces multiple products. Now I have the 1.0 version here and I'm going to
00:36compare the 1.0 version to the 2.0 version so you can see what's been upgraded and from here on out
00:41the 1.0 version is going to be phased out and everything is going to be the 2.0 version.
00:46So I'm going to pull both of these up so you can see the differences. So one of the main differences
00:51on the 2.0 version is the platform here from front to back this one here the 1.0 is eight and a half
00:57inches in depth from front to back. This one here is 11 inches from front to back so they added two
01:03and a half inches which I think is a good thing because that gives you more stability whenever
01:08you're having to put your entire foot on the platform here for exercises such as t-bar row
01:13platforms, reverse lunges and other exercises. On this one over here I didn't have any problem
01:18balancing myself but I did have my toes and the heel of my foot hanging off the edges. Again not a
01:24huge deal. I can still do the exercises but it's better to have more surface area where my foot can be
01:30sitting and not have to wobble any so that's a good thing. Another thing they did is they changed
01:35the pin so in order to adjust the angles of the flex switch here I have to pull out pins on the sides
01:42and then I can change the angle of the platform into six different positions. Now the pin here
01:46the original pin had this old office telephone cord looking like thing that I didn't like at all
01:53because these just over time they stretch they they get all messed up so they replaced it with a mac
02:00pin which is easier you don't have to deal with the cord at all you have to deal with that issue
02:03and then you can still do the same thing. You can adjust up and down okay so different angles so if I
02:09want to change it let's say for example if I want to do t-bar row platform exercises I change the angle
02:16a little bit and then I can step on here get a little bit more range of motion on the t-bar row
02:21and it's all set and then they also added a little bit more depth from front to back on the base so
02:29that again gives you a little bit more stability and then the other change that I see is that the
02:33the platform over here the powder coat is textured now so it looks kind of textured it looks kind of
02:39grainy but it's actually just paint those are the major changes I think they're good changes just
02:43because now you have more stability with the bigger platform here and this is just less maintenance
02:50for a mac pin and then having to deal with this cord over here so good things good improvements and I
02:55think if you're in a if you're in a market for a product that does multiple things especially when
03:00you're working out your lower body this is one to check out the exponent edge flex wedge 2.0
03:05just because it's going to replace multiple products with one product and that way you don't
03:10have multiple things on the floor or on a shelf just taking out more space if you want to check it
