00:00As you all know, the effects of climate change are now being felt most severely in every corner of the world.
00:07Our water resources are rapidly diminishing, agricultural production is stagnating, and the climate balance is being disrupted.
00:13Food security has been seriously threatened.
00:17We are faced with critical issues and problems not only for the future but even for today.
00:21On the other hand, the genocide that has been going on for years in Gaza has not only targeted innocent lives but also the access to the most basic human needs.
00:32We are faced with a situation where little children have died of hunger, mothers cannot find bread, and people are longing for a sip of water.
00:41This is not only a humanitarian crisis, but also a painful demonstration of how food security is linked to global peace.
00:51The tragedy in Gaza shows us that food security is no longer an issue that can be solved solely through agricultural policies, but is also an area where conscience, humanity and international justice are tested.
01:05It is clear that all efforts at food security will remain incomplete as long as the trees in Gaza remain silent.
01:13Our country has experienced strong development in agriculture under the leadership of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
01:19Our farmers and producers have always been supported, and a new level of agricultural production has been reached with modern irrigation investments, agricultural supports, rural development projects and technology-focused innovations.
01:33Today, Türkiye has become a country that not only feeds its own citizens but also has a say in global food security by exporting agricultural products to hundreds of countries.
01:43As the International Association of Agricultural Cities, we see agriculture not only as an economic activity but also as a language of diplomacy that brings friendships, cultures and nations closer together.
01:55Agricultural diplomacy is an opportunity to share the knowledge and experience of our cities and to learn new technologies and practices from each other.
02:03Thank you for watching.
