00:00let's get started but we're going to begin with baseball here on the show today my favorite topic
00:04of all the new york yankees last night go down big come back strong aaron judge arguably his
00:10biggest home run of the season ties up the game with the blue jays at six jazz chisholm jr with
00:16the equalizer gives the yankees a nine to six victory and so they stay alive in their best of
00:21five series there are four games today in major league baseball all division series three o'clock
00:27five o'clock six o'clock and eight o'clock eastern tonight we'll preview all of them coming up on
00:32the show but truthfully the bullpen of the toronto blue jays has been the undoing for them at least
00:38in one game as you saw there vladimir guerrero jr got the game started off with a home run also
00:43scored a run diving into home plate lots of excitement yesterday but that shot by aaron judge
00:47off the foul pole tied the game yankees end up closing it out in the end as you can tell aaron
00:53boone very excited to see his team still in this series um obviously awesome um just just the the
01:00continue to keep your nose down and compete when it's not looking great and just a lot of really
01:06good quality at bats to work our way back into it thought some important plays in the field and and
01:12and the bullpen just piecing it together um so well you know without you know i think without really
01:21overtaxing anyone too which which obviously is big going into another game tomorrow aaron how were
01:27you able to keep that ball fair there in that fourth inning and did you know off the bat that
01:33it was going to stay fair uh felt like i made good contact and you know i thought we had a chance you
01:39just never know with with the wind if it's going to push a foul is it keep curving or not but um i guess
01:46a couple ghosts out there i'm playing in the park i'll kind of keep that fair on the flip side the
01:52blue jays still do lead this series two to one let's not forget that today will be a crucial
01:56game for john schneider after the game last night still proud of the team's effort although the
02:02bullpen came up short yeah i mean i thought we did a really good job against carlos um kind of just
02:09didn't really play our our game really when you look at kind of things at a whole um or as a whole
02:13um just defensively you know you get extra outs and and things like that and they can they can do
02:20that in a hurry you know so um it's not one thing you know it's it's a couple things and um you know
02:28their bullpen did a really good job and and um you know we just we just gave them extra outs
02:33given how much your bullpen had to do today uh do you have pitching plans for tomorrow
02:37uh yeah um probably let you know tomorrow um you're trying to again like i said before the game
02:45you're trying to take chances to win today you know and and it didn't work out everyone's available
02:50tomorrow you know everyone's available just not exactly sure who's going to start yet um
02:54got to talk through that with pete and the guys but i think um you know it's everyone's everyone's
03:00available tomorrow meanwhile the seattle mariners take a 2-1 lead in their best of five series in the
03:06american league division series thanks to home runs from cal raleigh and jp crawford also a nice
03:12offensive game for randy rosarena in this one and so seattle takes a 2-1 series lead with an opportunity
03:19to close this thing out later today in detroit the mariners have used both good pitching performances
03:25and some timely hitting as i mentioned including cal raleigh who's had an mvp type season who
03:31tacked on a home run late in this game manager dan wilson knows there's still a lot of baseball to
03:37be played yeah um you know we talk about it a lot just a lot of you know grind them out at bats and
03:42and when you look at you know josh naylor and what that at bat looked like in the second inning you know
03:4711 pitches whatever it was just grinding out uh following them off and and uh you know that's
03:52you don't see the immediate result but you do see it later on down the line and that's what i think
03:57happened tonight um you know i think uh some really good at bats up and down the lineup tonight using
04:02the middle of the field um you know yes we we hit a couple homers which is which is great you know
04:07gino getting on the board there with a homer cal the opposite way you know jp's homer was big uh to
04:12get the run back after we'd given him up but we also scored you know conventionally quote conventionally
04:17and and uh getting some guys on base um using the middle of the field um you know cal going up the
04:23middle to get to get an rbi uh randy going up the middle i mean uh jp going the other way like just
04:28a lot of great at bats and and um you know that's uh that's what it takes and and uh when these guys
04:33do that that's uh that's that's their more consistent offense on the tigers side of things
04:39they're probably going to have to get more offense to beat seattle with the mariners on fire just a
04:44tad here is aj hinch on trying to get the offense going in the postseason yeah i mean this is the
04:49hardest time to hit i mean i know uh just when you're facing high end pitching in october it's
04:55it's a grind and and obviously their guys are really talented and um and are exposing a little
05:02bit of um you know of the zone control that we talk about all the time where where um those who win
05:10the strike zone usually win the the competition so um not easy you know with what gilbert was throwing
05:17up there what was it like kind of not many fastballs a lot of sliders and splits and
05:22and you know as we were swinging more and more as the game went on we had a really hard time
05:29putting back to back at bats together that were productive and when that happens you know the
05:34innings can get can short or quick or big at bats end up end up not going your way and
05:39um that's the nature of the competition you know it's um you know we got to get back at it tomorrow
05:45speaking of tomorrow that is today as baseball gets going at 308 eastern mariners and tigers
05:51game one of four going on today in the division series last four games late of the season by the
05:57way brewers take on the cubs at 508 it will be quinn priester against jameson tyon cam schlittler
06:02starts for the yankees to keep things going if they can against the blue jays they'll have some
06:07bullpen arms going there and then arenola will start the game for philadelphia at los angeles the
06:11dodgers have a 2-0 lead in the series as they head back home tonight philadelphia eagles are
06:16getting ready for their thursday night game a very interesting notebook in the injury report
06:22as saquon barkley is officially questionable for the game this week how about that also there
06:27apparently is some potential rumblings that there's some discontent in their locker room as well with
06:33jalen hurts and aj brown aj saquon barkley apparently knows all about this but isn't willing to talk
06:39about it um yeah we had a conversation but i i'm not going to speak too much on it and i feel like
06:45that conversation is meant to stay between us um but focus was all about the team and i think it was
06:52it's a good thing and uh saquon talked about you and aj meeting this week you know the report that
06:58you three met this week um can you tell us about that meeting and why it happened yeah um that's
07:04just us talking about the collective talking about taking ownership for what we can and talking about
07:09how we move forward as a team so we continue to find ways to win games why why it's really just
07:16teammates being teammates what was your takeaway in the conclusion of the meeting say that again
07:22what was your takeaway conclusion of the meeting um i don't want to make this about that right we
07:27we got a short week we got a um you know uh the division opponent coming in here um i enjoyed every
07:34second of it and i'm enjoying every second of every opportunity we have to improve and so um that's
07:39what i've always made it about that's what i'll continue to make it about uh it's just it's truly about
07:43the collective and and what we do and the opportunities we have in front of us and so
07:47everybody in this building just wants to take advantage of that eagles will take on the giants
07:53thursday night already out with malik neighbors being injured and now darius slayton has a hamstring

08:54what's going on here yeah it's been about a year now of these prediction markets launching what looks
09:00all right we'll try to get sam back on here looks like we're having some technical difficulties here
09:12on the show so what we'll do is tell you more about everything that's going on in sports which of course
09:18begins with four baseball games today before we get to that let's go to last night the new york
09:23yankees have made this a series they did not get swept after all nine to six the final as the yankees
09:30beat the toronto blue jays and they'll play the game four which could be a pivotal game today
09:36obviously considering the jays could win and lock it all up they'll have to do it with a bullpen game
09:40yankees very impressive i would say comeback maybe the biggest one of their season with aaron judge
09:46tying the game up at six and then jazz chisholm hitting a home run that ended up giving them the
09:53victory it has been a quiet offensive output for the yankees thus far in the postseason until last
09:59night maybe this is what gets them going aaron boone the manager of the yankees very happy with that
10:05outcome um obviously awesome um just just the the continue to keep your nose down and compete when
10:13it's not looking great and just a lot of really good quality at bats to work our way back into it

11:09pennsylvania talking about the prediction markets where do things stand as of now
11:14yeah pennsylvania is urging congress now to take action against these sports prediction markets
11:20uh basically saying this is unlicensed sports betting it's happening in our state it should be
11:25under our purview obviously you have the supreme court was the run that ruled states have the ability
11:32to oversee sports betting pennsylvania now joins a growing number of states including michigan which just
11:38last week sent a letter to sports betting operators essentially telling them hey if you do these
11:43sports prediction markets which we see as unlicensed sports betting it's going to risk your license in
11:48the state they joined arizona and ohio as well who took similar actions notifying them so what you
11:54all right well sam looks really good in that shot but unfortunately we're not able to use it on the
12:03show with uh freezing up there a little bit all right let's continue on and uh now go back to the
12:09seattle uh mariners here as the mariners take on the detroit tigers once again today last night eight to
12:15four the final very big win for seattle especially considering they got home runs from jp crawford a great
12:20game from randy rosarena and also another home run from cal raleigh a fan actually caught the home run
12:26wearing a jersey asking him to hit home run number 61 in his lap he ended up doing it and raleigh met

15:41made on social media although when barkley met with the media yesterday he wasn't really exactly
