Transcript
00:00reference like if we were to project drake may's stats if he was to stay relatively consistent with
00:04what he's been doing through three weeks over the course of the season you're looking at a season
00:09of throwing for 4500 yards 28 touchdowns and 11 picks that's before the season if i had told
00:16curtis that he would have been pretty happy because it was way higher than the numbers i
00:20had originally given like everybody in this room and everybody listening would have been happy with
00:24those numbers so like i understand that sometimes he makes a dumb mistake and i i totally recognize
00:30that uh that fumble was inexcusable you need to know when to just eat the ball and take the loss
00:35i get it i am aware of that like that is not anomalous he has turnovers at the worst times
00:41i am not i'm not saying that he doesn't i literally just i just said that i understand that he has
00:48turnovers like it happens i get it a lot of quarterbacks have turnovers but like he's also
00:54on pace to have a really really good season how many wins how many wins does your projection have
01:01in it for the new england patriots well as of right now it would be uh six whoa so uh but that's just
01:08based on what the record is but like so you nailed it early yeah i guess i guess you're right courtney
01:13uh but my my whole thing is is just like i i think people need to take a deep breath like the
01:18quarterbacks played overall through three games pretty well it's not top 10 it's not but it's also
01:24not like bottom bottom quarter of the league so right yes he's playing solid football and he's
01:30getting better i think that's the most important thing is it's like if he is scoring touchdowns yeah
01:36he's going to turn the football over but if he's putting points on the board he's doing his job and
01:40he's gonna get better and those turnovers will slowly go away you saw it happen with josh allen
01:45even guys like patrick mahomes when they throw the ball a ton they sometimes turn the ball over a
01:50lot but if they're scoring points it doesn't really matter at the end of the day it's just in the case
01:54in just looking at this past week though it's debilitating it's a debilitating turnover but great
02:01it is there were three other turnovers that were far more impactful but it is on the heels of a 19 play
02:08drive in which you started on your six or whatever wait what were the three other turnovers that were
02:16more impactful i mean remandre stevenson fumbling on the one yard line throwing an interception on
02:20the one that was bad it was a pass that was batted like it wasn't a bad throw it was the right decision
02:25he made the correct decision saw the guy made the throw yeah that's cool but it was the wrong
02:31air trajectory on the ball whatever it wasn't a bad decision what you can't say whatever when
02:39it's on the quarterback you and i disagree about the trajectory of the past because i think if you
02:43every nfl expert every guy is going to convert shine vrabel uh agrees boomer esiason who was in
02:50who played quarterback that's great fell for 14 or 13 years agrees cool that's great i disagree
02:57disagree so you disagree with the guy who played the position yes i do
