00:00Hi guys and welcome to DriveSpark, I'm Promeet and today we are finally driving the Maruti
00:14Suzuki Victorus. Now the company had unveiled the car a few days back and then we got to see the
00:24car very premium car and this is going to be their flagship variant from the Arena dealership.
00:30Now the Arena dealership actually needed once in the past five years they had nothing except the
00:36Desire, Ertica, the Alto and the Celerio but this is now the flagship product from their Arena
00:43dealership which is absolutely phenomenal to see a Maruti get so many features especially a level
00:50to ADAS can you just imagine now this is the first car of Maruti that gets the ADAS and they
00:56launched it at a very very attractive price. Let's quickly start driving this and I will tell you
01:02everything on the way.
01:10So if we talk about the price of the Victorus this has come at a very attractive price that is almost
01:1610.5 lakh rupees x showroom and goes all the way up to the almost 19.5 lakh rupees x showroom for the
01:22strong hybrid one but let me tell you there are a lot of variants since this is from the Arena
01:28dealership so you get variants such as Lxi, Vxi, Zxi, Zxi plus, Zxi plus optional and then you have the
01:35strong hybrid as in the Zxi variant only. So this that we are driving is the Zxi plus optional variant
01:42and this carries the price of rupees 17.7 lakh x showroom. There are a lot of things that I need
01:50to tell you about this car. So let's quickly start this video and I'll tell you everything
01:54you need to know about the all new Maruti Suzuki Victorus.
02:02So that is how the all new Maruti Suzuki Victorus looks like. Let me give you a quick 360 walk around
02:10so you can see how the car looks like. It looks absolutely fantastic. It gets a lot of color options
02:16but I personally like the red and the black and this one. This is a new color option that it has got
02:21and you can see it looks absolutely fantastic. Now let's start talking about the front end of the vehicle.
02:28Now you can see now let me tell you one thing before I start off. So the Victorus that you see over
02:33here is technically the Gran Vitara and so the chassis the engine and everything is based on the Gran Vitara
02:40but this is a new body shell with a lot of features and it has become much more sleeker.
02:45So if we talk about the front end you can see you get this. It looks like a connected but this
02:50is not a connected strip. This is a brushed aluminium strip. There you go. This is the DRL for the vehicle.
02:58This is for your high and low beam. It's a bi-functional projector and this is again a fog light or your
03:05cornering light as you can call it and you also get some ducts over here that channel air making
03:10the car a little more aerodynamic and also cools the brakes and the wheels. So that is how it looks
03:16like from the front end and if you see over here you get a 360 degree camera. That's the front parking
03:21camera. This is the radar for the ADAS that works in sync with that camera. So as I mentioned earlier
03:27also this car gets leveled to ADAS so it does get leveled to ADAS. If we move to the side of the
03:32vehicle you will see that it gets body cladding all over. Looks really good and it gets these 17
03:39inch wheels. The tire section is a 215. Dual tone diamond cut alloy wheel looks nice and if you talk
03:46about the ground clearance of the vehicle 210 mm of ground clearance is what this gets. Body line increase
03:51a very minimum. You have functional roof rails. You have a big panoramic sunroof and the best part of the
03:57sunroof is that usually this part opens but this part also slides back. So you have almost a 70%
04:05opening when you open the entire sunroof. You got a shark fin antenna right over here. Now if you
04:10talk about the brake lights well this is the connected brake light that you get right over here. Now this
04:17thing actually resembles one of the car. So by seeing the brake light when it is lit you must have seen it
04:24on the Kia the EV6. So that is how the tail light drops down but obviously that's a connected thing.
04:29It is sort of the same but not exactly the same. You get your Victorious badging right over here. Now this
04:36is a smart hybrid. Starting from your petrol, then you have CNG, then you have strong hybrid, mild hybrid,
04:44everything is available. Now since we're at the back let's talk about what you get over here. You get a
04:48wiper with a washer, defogger, a high stop mount light right over here and you get a segment first.
04:57Power tailgate. Yes, now this also gets a power tailgate as you can see over here. Almost 373
05:04liters of boot space is what you get. If I just lift this you will see that the spare tire is not there
05:09but I mean it comes with this. You get your puncture repair kit and easily luggage for five people can
05:15accommodate over here. You have a boot light that is over here plus this space you can keep something.
05:23You have a 12 volt charging socket that is your subwoofer. Yes, you have a subwoofer as well and since
05:29this is an electric tailgate one of the coolest features that I like you just press a button and
05:34you can see that the tailgate closes automatically. I mean just look at the car from the rear section.
05:41Looks absolutely nice. Now let's move on to the inside and let's explore the second row. So first
05:48of all this does not get shades. That is something I would have preferred on on the higher models.
05:55You can see you get a bottle holder that can hold a one liter bottle. This is a half liter bottle.
06:00You also get piano black accents over here. Soft touch material over here on the door. If you move on the
06:05inside you get three adjustable headrests. So you get an armrest with two cup holders and that is your
06:11AC vent right over there. It's a single zone automatic climate control. You have two type C charging
06:15sockets over here that are fast charging. Seat back pocket is there on both so you can keep knickknacks
06:22or newspapers or anything that you are reading. That's your center seat belt that comes up from there
06:29and that is your panoramic sunroof which comes all the way up till here. Now let us go to the front end.
06:35That is how the front end looks like. The typical headrests for the car like you get in other
06:42Maruti cars. Big headrests. I really like it. Seats are nice dual turn upholstery ventilated seats.
06:49It's a good option. Now let's check out what you get on the door. So you get your door controls over
06:54here. Again the same treatment again over here. You have a small bottle but this can hold a bigger
06:59bottle. You also get some space to keep whatever you want to keep over here and
07:04this is the infinity by Harman sound system which finally Maruti gets and it is just awesome. It gets
07:12a 3D sound effect and you can see over here it's written infinity by Harman. These are some controls
07:17which I personally like. Boot opening. This is the lane keep assist off. Traction control view for your
07:24360 degree camera. Power tailgate off. This is the best button. Front collision warning since
07:30level 2 a dash has this. So you have to go inside the system and search it. Maruti is just cleverly
07:34giving this button right over here. Automatic start stop and your park assist. Headlight leveler.
07:40That is for your heads up display. That is right over there. And your start stop button is right here.
07:45Let's quickly sit on the inside and give you a view of the cockpit. So yeah that is how the cockpit
07:54looks like. That is your full little cluster right over there. Lot of things right now I have switched off
08:01the front collision warning. Just press it for like three seconds and that will be off. You got a new
08:07infotainment system over here. Wireless charger is right over here. There's some space to keep some stuff.
08:14Just check out the steering wheel. It's a round steering wheel but check out the steering
08:17rounder controls. Very very premium piano black finishing on the controls and you have tilt and
08:23telescopic. Both options are there. So that is the heads up display right over there. The controls are over here.
08:30If you want to adjust the level of the things that have been displayed you use these two buttons. If
08:35you want to use increase or decrease the brightness you use this and if you press this for like three
08:40seconds that thing will go down if it's kind of distracting you and when you press this again for
08:45three seconds you can see that that thing pops up. When you keep it open and you set off the car that
08:50thing automatically goes down and if we talk about speakers one two three four five six seven and one in
08:59the booth that's the subwoofer so you have eight speakers that include the subwoofer as well.
09:05You have ambient lighting that displayed over here and on the door handles and you have 64 colors to
09:10select from. I mean what else do you want from a Maruti. Now this is the six speed talk converter
09:15gearbox. These are your buttons for the ventilating seats. If you can hear it very very strong ventilation I
09:24must say it's very loud electric parking brake and you have auto hold over here. Now this is the key
09:32for the car and as you can see over here you have a boot release button a lock and unlock button
09:36typical Maruti key. This is your auto dimming IRVM sun glass holder right over here. You get a vanity
09:46mirror with light and you also get a vanity mirror with light over here as well. And as I was talking about
09:52the sunroof so this is the panoramic sunroof. Technically if you open this you see that this
09:57part opens but watch what happens to this. See that is also going behind and it stops over here. It is
10:03not completely open you have to press it once again. If you do that now this is completely open and you
10:10can see you have almost 70 percent of the space to yourself like don't go outside the vehicle that's
10:16if the vehicle is stationary you can but that is why this sunroof goes behind and you have a little
10:22less space for taller people because they had to cut out an opening so that the the second pane can
10:28go inside and that is why people say that the headrest is slightly an issue. Well I felt the headrest
10:32could have been a slightly I mean it is an issue because my head is 61 and I was almost brushing
10:39against that so if I hit a pothole while driving I will and if I'm sitting back then my head will touch
10:44over there. So yeah that's the sunroof and yeah so I think that's about it. We've explained almost
10:51everything on the interior. Now let's quickly go drive the car and I will tell you everything you
10:55need to know about how the all new Victorious drives.
11:04So now let's quickly go and drive this car and well this is the gearbox PRND and then you have your
11:12manual mode let me just show you the camera right over here so you can see it has a 360 degree camera
11:18you can change the angles from here and yeah that's the view button so just in case if you're in traffic
11:26and you want to see what's going around so that is what will happen very clear camera I must say
11:32and now let's quickly go and drive this so you put it on D mode and since
11:39it has creep mode you just leave it and it will creep till 9 9 kilometers 9 or 10 kilometers it would
11:48creep till and overall I would say first impressions while driving and sitting behind the wheels is nice
11:55you have a good view of what's going on around you big windows over here however for me I'm tall so this
12:02heads up display is not a distraction for me I think a little short height people would have a
12:10distraction so they can switch it off as I mentioned from here so before starting the video I had
12:16mentioned that this is based on the Grand Vitara so technically all the engine options and everything
12:20that you see is so this is basically a Grand Vitara but with a different name and they have changed
12:26nothing not even the suspension not even the engine options everything almost remains the same talk
12:32about engine options as I mentioned you have petrol you have CNG you have mild hybrid and then you have
12:37strong hybrid what we are driving is a 1.5 liter petrol engine that made it to a six speed torque converter
12:44gearbox and you have a manual as well in this and if we talk about the power figures 101 bhp is what this
12:50produces and now on 139 nm of peak torque the naturally aspirated one uh but the strong hybrid
12:56one it's a 1.5 liter three cylinder engine and that produces slightly less power that's around 99 ish bhp
13:03and around 129 maybe 130 nm of peak torque but yeah that thing gives a like a lot of mileage uh a
13:12company claims around 24 25 but easily within the city you can get somewhere between say around
13:18maybe 18 to 20 kilometers is what we got from the grand vitara so we are assuming that this will
13:23almost be the same if we talk about the weight of the victoris so this is 25 kgs lighter than the
13:29grand vitara i mean 25 kgs is not that much well in racing terms 25 kgs is a lot but if you're talking
13:36about regular cars 25 kgs is not much of a difference so that is why they have not tweaked the suspension
13:42is just that so it's 25 kgs lighter because you have higher reinforcements in the car that's made
13:48of aluminium and steel so that makes it slightly it's it's it's placed over the same chassis so
13:53overall i mean it is a very smooth car suspension is good acceleration we are doing 50 kilometers an hour
14:00and if we just uh floor it there you can see you can hear the engine noise but it is well contained
14:10i mean it won't disturb you but we'll be doing a zero to 100 on this so stay tuned to our instagram
14:16channel and youtube shots we'll be posting a zero to 100 timing of this car uh overall i would say
14:23very very nicely done i mean this is one of the cars from marathi that is really nice i mean initially
14:29when this launched we thought that this was a nexa product because this is so premium you get level
14:33to a dash with this and as i mentioned you have all the features let me demonstrate the
14:38lane keep assist so right now i am in between these two lanes and if i slightly move out let
14:42me see what it does yeah yeah you can see it is keeping us between the lane if i move to the right
14:48you will see that yep it's giving a warning it's saying keep control of the steering wheel so yeah you
14:55don't want to leave the steering wheel over here and uh yeah six airbags as standard and this gets
15:03a five star safety rating from bharat and cap from adult and child occupant which makes this a fantastic
15:10buy and trust me guys at the price that this has launched i mean 10 and a half lakh rupees ex showroom
15:15to 19 and a half lakh almost 19.9 or 19.7 lakh rupees ex showroom so the pricing is just spot on i mean if
15:24you buy the base variant also you will not get so many features but you will get features like six
15:30airbags and safety if you talk about safety safety is sorted in this car so as i mentioned suspension
15:37is good it's nice on uneven broken roads um the steering input is also very nice i mean if you want
15:42to just want to shift lane and someone is right in front of you just just just look at this just look
15:47at this i'm on the second lane if i do it again there's no one behind just look at this so i mean
15:54it is a good car to have as a family car if you are five people uh also sitting you can accommodate
16:01your luggage price wise it is also really really nice yeah guys that was the all-new maruti suzuki
16:07victoris i hope you like the car i hope you like the features of this car and we'll be getting this car
16:12really soon for a uh longer duration uh so we'll be doing highway runs city runs tell you what kind
16:19of mileage does it get within the city and that depends on what variant we are getting as well
