00:00Hi guys and welcome to DriveSpark and in today's video we are going to talk about
00:03Ultraviolet and how they have come up with a new plan so that people can afford their
00:09motorcycles. Now we all know that the EV two-wheeler startup Ultraviolet is a very well-known company
00:13and they have introduced a new battery flex bus program for the new Ultraviolet X47. Now this
00:20is aimed at making the motorcycle a much more accessible and affordable thing for its customers
00:25at just Rs 1.49 lakh X showroom. Now known for its innovation and advanced EV technologies the
00:31company has launched this battery as a service which is the BASS initiative and this is done
00:35in partnership with Eco5 which is again a green focus non-banking financial company and they offer
00:41great flexibility to reduce the upfront cost for the buyers when they go to buy the motorcycle. Now
00:46with the introduction of this program Ultraviolet's electric motorcycle becomes much more accessible
00:50to a wider group of people offering a greater flexibility and improved cost efficiency.
00:55Now this initiative is also expected to help accelerate the EV adoption among the riders.
01:01The Ultraviolet X47 is now available at a starting price of just Rs 1.49 lakh X showroom and you
01:07can get a subscription plan at the cost of Rs 2,499 per month under the battery flex plan.
01:14Now let us talk about the motorcycle a little bit. So the Ultraviolet X47 crossover is equipped
01:19with a 10.3 kilowatt battery pack that delivers a claimed range of about 323 kilometers.
01:25Now 323 kilometers from a two-wheeler EV if you are talking numbers then this is a very very great
01:32number obviously the real world range will be slightly less but you can expect somewhere between
01:36250 to 280 kilometers depending on how you ride the motorcycle and in what condition are you riding the
01:41motorcycle. So I would say this range is a lot of range for an EV two-wheeler. Now this motorcycle
01:47is
01:48available in two variants producing 40.2 horsepower and 610 nm of peak torque. Well it has a top speed
01:55of 145 kilometers per hour. Now that is again a very significant number because EV two-wheelers are
02:02I mean they are fast but they don't have a lot of top speed. 145 kilometers an hour seems to
02:08be a very
02:09very nice and a good range for an EV motorcycle. Now it also features several advanced technologies
02:14including a UV hypersense radar technology which is basically the level 2 ADAS for two-wheelers.
02:21Yes you have ADAS on this as well with cameras and radars on either side. So what it supports is
02:26basically rear collision warning, lane change assist, overtake alert, blind spot monitoring and
02:31obviously other features that the level 2 ADAS does. Obviously it does not break on its own
02:36but it definitely gives you a warning if it detects that yeah there will be a collision happening.
02:40Now the other highlights include a front and rear camera. It also gets a 5-inch TFT display,
02:45longer travel suspension and a cast aluminium subframe. Now the introduction of the battery
02:50flex plan basically aims to make performance oriented electric mobility and a much more attainable
02:56for riders across India while maintaining the brand's focus on innovation and riding performance.
03:02Customers can purchase the motorcycle with just 40% upfront cost while the battery is offered
03:07through a subscription plan which is Rs 2,499 a month as I mentioned earlier.
03:12Now after this subscription plan ends, battery ownership will be transferred to the customer
03:17at zero additional cost. Now the program has already started from March 5th, 2026 allowing buyers
03:23to access the motorcycle with greater flexibility plans when they are going to buy it.
03:27So yes guys this was everything you needed to know about the ultraviolet x47 and that now it comes
03:32with a new affordable battery flex bus plan. So I hope you liked this video if you liked it do
