00:00Hi guys and welcome to Drives Park and in today's video we are going to tell you about the TVS
00:04Orbiter V1 electric scooter.
00:07Now in this video we are going to talk about the top 5 key features that you should know about
00:10this EV scooter from TVS.
00:12Now TVS Motor Company has launched the new Orbiter V1 with the brand's BAS program which is battery as a
00:19service.
00:19To make the scooter much more accessible to buyers, with this model the Orbiter V1 is priced at just Rs
00:2449,999x showroom making it one of the most affordable electric scooters in the Indian market currently.
00:31Now the Orbiter is already positioned as an entry level electric scooter and with the new V1 variant that aims
00:37to reduce the upfront cost to the customer.
00:39And here are some of the features and highlights of the V1 Orbiter compared to the regular Orbiter V2.
00:44Number 1 is what I already mentioned is the BAS program.
00:47So TVS is offering battery as a service with the Orbiter V1 significantly lowering the price of the initial purchase
00:54of the scooter.
00:55Now under this program as I mentioned the scooter will be available for just Rs 49,999x instead of 84
01:02,999x which was the ex-showroom price which is actually the original ex-showroom price of the scooter.
01:07And this is because the battery is provided through a subscription plan rather than being included in the vehicle's ex
01:12-showroom price.
01:13The customers can subscribe to the battery through a monthly plan that starts at just Rs 862 for 60 months.
01:20Now TVS is also providing a 5-year or 70,000km warranty for this battery under this program ensuring a
01:26peace of mind for the buyers who are buying the V1.
01:29Now number 2 is a smaller battery pack.
01:31The Orbiter V1 is equipped with a smaller 1.8kWh battery pack compared to the regular 3.1kWh battery pack
01:38that the V2 gets.
01:39Now due to the reduced battery capacity the scooter offers a little less claimed range of about 86km.
01:45Well in real world you can expect somewhere between 50-60km making the scooter suitable mainly for short city commutes
01:52and daily urban usage as well.
01:54Now the smaller battery pack helps keep the scooter more affordable and practical for daily use.
01:59And the battery can charge from 0-80% in just 2 hours and 20 minutes.
02:04Now number 3 is the premium tech and the connectivity that the scooter offers.
02:07Now this includes a TVS Smart X-Connect.
02:10It also gets a 5.5-inch LCD instrument cluster, turn-by-turn navigation, riding mode that includes eco and
02:17city.
02:18It also gets features like incoming call, message alerts, OTA updates, nearby charging station finder, geofencing, anti-theft, tow alerts
02:24and many more features are included in this.
02:27Now number 4 we'll talk about the excellent comfort that the V1 offers.
02:30Now that is because it uses the same chassis and suspension setup as the V2 variant and it comes with
02:369090 R14 tires that are alloy wheels and also gets a long and a comfortable 845mm flat seat.
02:43And if we talk about the footboard space it's around 290mm that gives the rider a really relaxed riding position.
02:50The scooter also features an upright handlebar for relaxed riding posture and a 164mm ground clearance allowing it to handle
02:57various road conditions throughout the city.
03:00Now number 5 and the last point is the unmatched practicality that the Orbiter V1 has to offer.
03:05Now for daily use it actually features a 34 litre boot space that can accommodate almost 2 helmets.
03:12Additional features also include cruise control for maintaining a steady speed throughout, hill hold assist for added safety, reverse parking
03:18assist for easier manoeuvring, a USB charging socket and easy access storage box for essentials.
03:24So yes guys this was the all new Orbiter V1 electric scooter which is now practically the most affordable electric
03:31scooter in the Indian market because of the bus program that it has launched in.
