00:04SUV that has been teased for the Indian market.
00:07Now JSW Motors has teased the Jettor T2 SUV for the Indian market with the launch that is expected around
00:13Diwali this year that is 2026.
00:16Now the Jettor SUV is likely to be revised for the Indian market under the JSW Motor brand.
00:22The vehicle is expected to be assembled in the JSW's facility in Maharashtra.
00:26Now we will be telling you a little bit about what we know about this SUV that has been teased.
00:31Now before that let me tell you that JSW Motors has invited dealerships application while showcasing a paper ad of
00:37an upcoming SUV along with a tagline that says the future is calling will you join the drive.
00:43So this is what they had quoted in the ad and clearly signaling the intent to enter the Indian automotive
00:49market as an independent automobile brand.
00:52Now the Jettor is owned by China's Sherry automobile and its components are expected to be imported from China and
00:58locally assembled at the JSW facility that is in Maharashtra.
01:03Now let's talk about the SUV itself.
01:05The T2 is positioned as a rugged off-road SUV with a boxy shape.
01:09It has an upright stance and it features a wide grille.
01:12Now with rectangular LED headlamps, a thick bumper, skit plates and along with an overall design that reflects its off
01:19-road capabilities, it actually looks like a very rugged vehicle.
01:23Now at the rear you will find out that the tailgate has a vertical opening and it has a spare
01:27mounted wheel at the back.
01:29It gets slim LED tail lamps and a rugged bumper design which actually looks good from the back as well.
01:35Now globally the T2 is offered with a plug-in hybrid and hybrid option powertrains but for India we can
01:40expect the 1.5 litre turbo petrol engine with a plug-in hybrid system that produces 154 horsepower and 220
01:48nm of peak torque.
01:49It also comes with a 26.7 kW battery pack available in a single motor front wheel drive or a
01:55dual motor all-wheel drive configuration.
01:57Now the battery is claimed to offer a maximum range of about 139 km in one single charge which is
02:03actually good and not a bad thing at all.
02:05Now if you dive on the inside of the SUV you will find that the cabin is really premium.
02:10It gets a 15.6 inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.2 inch digital instrument cluster, a fixed panoramic glass
02:18that does not open, wireless connectivity and charging as well.
02:22Apart from that it gets a 12 speaker Sony audio system and ventilated and powered front seats.
02:28Now if you talk about the safety of the SUV, now the SUV is expected to feature level 2 ADAS,
02:33hill start and hill descent assist.
02:35It will also get a 360 degree camera system, it will get automatic climate control and for off-road driving
02:41it will feature multiple terrain modes as well.
02:43Now the enhanced system and the intelligent creep mode will allow the vehicle to go at lower speed maneuvers at
02:50a very very controlled rate.
