00:00Previously on Project Runway All-Stars.
00:03Please welcome Ellie Tahari.
00:07Your challenge is to create a ready-to-wear wow look.
00:11You'll be working towards the most important number in business,
00:14the retail price.
00:16If I had it rushed up to here.
00:17Actually, I didn't want to cut it off anywhere.
00:20That feels to me like a lazy designer.
00:22I just feel really discouraged.
00:24You have to fight.
00:24You're not a loser.
00:25There's really no way to fix it.
00:26You won't have time to take it all out.
00:28It looks like she's got a dump in her butt.
00:29You could make a white dress every week.
00:36They're incredible.
00:37I like the length.
00:38You get turned on because there's something slightly wrong about it.
00:41Your dress looks so young without being a junior dress.
00:44He made it an easy dress to wear.
00:46The winning designer is Anthony Ryan.
00:50Zip thing in the back.
00:50It's a fit issue.
00:51Not to rub it in.
00:52You basically are.
00:54No one wants to have a droopy breast.
00:56I felt like slutty lady.
00:58This length has made the dress frumpy.
01:00It's awkward.
01:01You're supposed to make it more light.
01:03She looks heavy.
01:04Joshua, Ivy, you had the lowest scores.
01:08Ivy, you are out.
01:1013 of the best designers from Project Runway are back.
01:16Back for more.
01:16Back for blood.
01:18Blood.
01:18Admit it.
01:19You missed them.
01:20And this time the competition is tougher than ever.
01:24This is war.
01:26Each week their skills are tested to the limit.
01:28Hideous or fabulous.
01:31This is not a game.
01:32Nothing gets past me.
01:34Who will be cut and who will have it all sewn up?
01:37This is Project Runway All Stars.
01:40The winning designer will have the chance to create a custom branded capsule collection with
01:45Nine West.
01:46The winner will also receive a fashion spread in Marie Claire Magazine and a position as
01:50contributing editor for one year.
01:52From Laura Mercier, an all expenses paid trip around the world to Fashion Week such as Paris,
01:57London, Milan, and Tokyo.
01:59A technology suite and office space from HP and Intel to bring their creativity to life and run their
02:04business.
02:05A sewing and embroidery studio from Brothers Sewing and Embroidery to help launch their line.
02:09And a cash prize of $150,000.
02:22Hello.
02:23I'm walking on the deck of the Intrepid and there are helicopters and jets and planes.
02:30I mean it's just so cool to be up there.
02:32I mean it's just a part of history.
02:35Hello designers.
02:36Good morning Carolyn.
02:37It's week 10 and four of you are getting close to the final challenge where one of you will win
02:43the grand prize.
02:45This week we're standing on the deck of the Intrepid, a National Historic Landmark.
02:51Cool.
02:51The Intrepid has one of the most distinguished service records of any naval ship and so do our guests.
02:59Are you ready to meet them?
03:00Yes.
03:01Yes.
03:01Yes.
03:02Here they come.
03:05No way.
03:09Oh!
03:10Oh!
03:20Ladies welcome to Project Runway All Stars.
03:22These are our designers.
03:24Designers each of you will be paired with one of our female veterans all of whom have honorably served our
03:31country.
03:31Hi, I'm Corporal Jessica Lord, United States Marine Corps.
03:34Hi, I'm Captain Donna Barrios with the United States Air Force.
03:38My name is Lisa Dollhouse and I'm from the United States Navy.
03:41I'm Captain Leslie Nicole Smith from the United States Army and this is Isaac, my service dog.
03:46Pleasure.
03:47Each of you will be designing for an upcoming event where the ladies will prefer not to wear their
03:53uniforms and they will be the models for this challenge.
03:57All four of these women are actual veterans that have given our country so much and we have the
04:05opportunity to actually give them a great look for a special event.
04:08You'll have 30 minutes to meet your veteran, learn about the event she's attending, and sketch your design.
04:14Your budget is $150 to shop for fabric and you have the rest of the day to complete your look.
04:20Wow.
04:20The judges and I will be looking at how well you work with your veteran to create a custom
04:26design for their event.
04:27Perfect.
04:28Thanks again to the Intrepid for hosting us and ladies, please step over and meet your designers.
04:33Hi.
04:35Nice to meet you.
04:37Leslie, Joshua, it's a pleasure.
04:39I'm paired up with Captain Leslie Nicole Smith from the U.S. Army.
04:45My brother is also in the Army so meeting with Leslie, you know, definitely hits close to home with me.
04:50Okay, so you're in the Army.
04:51Were you based here in the States or were you...?
04:54Pretty much.
04:54So my last deployment was in Bosnia.
04:56Two weeks before the end of my first deployment, I developed a blood clot in my leg and was taken to
05:02the Army Medical Hospital and things just kind of all of a sudden started to spiral downward and
05:09there was some kind of an infection going on and the Army placed me on what they called imminent
05:14death status and they placed me on that with like a 24-hour window to live.
05:19They literally said to my family, say goodbye to your daughter because she won't be here
05:24by like morning.
05:25Right.
05:25So they did have to amputate right below the knee.
05:28The first question I had too was, am I going to be able to wear high heels?
05:31I love this woman.
05:32I mean, I can't believe that would be someone's first question.
05:36Not, am I going to be able to walk?
05:37Am I going to be able to run?
05:38No, it was, am I going to be able to wear high heels?
05:41What type of event or function might you be going to?
05:44Well, it would definitely be a military type event.
05:47I attend quite a few and I usually always wear my uniform.
05:51I would like to wear a girly dress and dress up.
05:54Is there a certain color that you love?
05:56I'm a diehard leopard.
05:57I love leopard too.
05:59I don't know if this album would pass in the Army, but you know, don't ask, don't tell.
06:04It's fine.
06:05I don't even have to tell anyone.
06:06They don't even have to ask.
06:07Tell me a little bit about the Air Force.
06:11I'm an officer now, but at first I enlisted.
06:13I was a C5 loadmaster here out of Stewart, New York.
06:15So now I'm a logistics officer with a communications squadron.
06:18What event are you really looking to go to?
06:20My 40th birthday.
06:21You're looking for something long, shorter?
06:23I would like something long.
06:24Okay, you think it's strapless?
06:26Definitely strapless.
06:27I think I'm more nervous about designing Donna's 40th birthday dress than she is.
06:32I mean, I'm terrified.
06:34What areas of your body are you kind of more self-conscious about?
06:36I'm a boob hider.
06:38Designing for just a specific woman is going to be a lot more challenging.
06:42You've got to take into account their needs and their body type,
06:46but you've got to have a little bit of you in there in the end as well.
06:49So now you said you're a reservist.
06:50Yes, I am.
06:52I work in the Bronx right now.
06:54I'm station of Knox Cross.
06:56I was in the Navy, so I've been over to Afghanistan.
06:59I'm a jet engine mechanic.
07:00My baby's right here.
07:02Wow, you're an inspiration.
07:04These women have dedicated their lives to protect our freedoms.
07:08And if I can give back, even if it's something as small as designing a dress,
07:12this is the least I can do.
07:14Well, tell me about your event.
07:15Well, I'm going to one of my best friends' bachelor party.
07:18Ooh.
07:19I'm going to be in Las Vegas.
07:21Okay.
07:22So I want to look fabulous.
07:24Okay.
07:24Did you see something?
07:25I see something short, sparkly, fun.
07:28Yellow is my favorite color.
07:29Yellow is your favorite color?
07:30It doesn't have to be yellow, but I'm open to color.
07:32Yellow is your favorite color.
07:33I definitely want to make you happy.
07:34It is.
07:35Yeah.
07:36Well, we're going to do something for you.
07:37Okay.
07:38You're going to win.
07:39Yes.
07:40Let's go.
07:40Let's get out of here.
07:42When did you come back?
07:43Like, how long did you surf?
07:45I'm actually out of the Marine Corps now.
07:46Yeah.
07:47Yeah, I'm out now.
07:48I've been out for about a year.
07:49When did you start?
07:50Because you look so young.
07:51Oh, um, 2006.
07:54I'm 25.
07:55Wow.
07:55So you're going to a wedding?
07:56A wedding.
07:57Yes.
07:58You have like a certain dress you would like to.
08:01I like purple.
08:01That's my favorite color.
08:02Okay.
08:03Do you like to wear long dresses or like something that's shorter?
08:06Actually, that's really pretty.
08:07I love that dress.
08:08I want this dress to be a special piece.
08:10I really want her to wear that and be happy with the dress.
08:14Yes.
08:14See you tomorrow.
08:15See ya.
08:23Guys, we have 30 minutes.
08:2530 minutes.
08:27My service woman, Lisa, she wants a yellow dress that has that little fun wow factor for
08:33Vegas.
08:35She likes leopard.
08:37Leslie had mentioned that she really enjoys leopard print.
08:40I find this great print in a black and white leopard, but I know that Leslie doesn't like very
08:46graphic prints.
08:47So it dawned on me, oh my gosh, I could just dye the material.
08:51I find this great ombre fabric.
08:55And this ombre has a nice femininity to it.
08:58So I really want to use this.
08:59Five minutes, guys.
09:01Five minutes.
09:03The purple is not working out.
09:04I just can't find the right print.
09:06And I'm thinking of some classic colors, which is like white and black.
09:10And I hope she likes it.
09:12Time's up, guys.
09:13Time's up.
09:14Thank you, Mood.
09:24This dress is for one woman.
09:26It's not for a thousand women.
09:28It's really for her.
09:29So it's got to be just right in what she's looking for.
09:32You're boning that top part.
09:34Oh, boy, I got boning and canvas.
09:36We're gonna go.
09:38That's my main issue is fitting that this.
09:40The top portion.
09:41She has a larger bust.
09:42It's something that she's not necessarily very comfortable about.
09:46So I'm gonna take it from the dark gray to the white to the light gray
09:51and position it on her to where it just complements her figure a little bit better.
09:58My first priority is to really test dye the fabric and see how long it's gonna take to get the color
10:04that I need and make sure I can get this entire process done.
10:08How long will this take to dry if I dye it?
10:11What is it?
10:12The cotton.
10:13Oh, it won't take long.
10:15Don't get it on you.
10:16It stains your hands.
10:18You're gonna be green.
10:19Oh, I have to use my hands to wring it out?
10:22Joshua's afraid to touch the dye.
10:24This is Project Runway All Stars.
10:26You're gonna have to get your hands dirty.
10:28Joshua got this crazy animal print.
10:31I think he's taking the biggest risk.
10:34This could go either way.
10:35If you do something wrong now, you're going home.
10:38So much pressure.
10:42Coming up on Project Runway All Stars.
10:45What I originally had on the mannequin is not working.
10:47We might have to come up higher.
10:49I'm not even doing a fitting yet.
10:51I'm still working a little bit.
10:53Please welcome Katie Holmes.
10:55Hi, designers.
11:05The challenge this week is to design a look for a service woman.
11:09And they will wear the look to an event that they will be going to.
11:14My service person is Petty Officer First Class Lisa Dollhouse from Brooklyn, New York.
11:22She wants yellow, so I'm doing a yellow dress.
11:24Lisa wants a dress for our bachelorette party in Vegas.
11:29But she doesn't want anything glitzy and flashy.
11:32So I'm already having to fight against type.
11:36The service woman I'm paired with is Jessica.
11:39Jessica needs a dress for one of her best friend's wedding.
11:43Are you just doing the monochromatic scale?
11:45It's like always.
11:46Gorgeous.
11:48I mean, she's like, I like the dress you're going to wear.
11:51For Jessica, I'm making a long, flowy Uli dress because she mentioned she liked that.
11:57So I definitely want to please her.
12:04Hello, designers.
12:05Hey, Miss Joanna.
12:06I'm so pleased that Project Runway All Stars has this opportunity to celebrate our female veterans.
12:12It is an honor to dress these women.
12:15So I'm going to be extra vigorous today.
12:17Okay.
12:18Anthony, hello.
12:19Hey, Miss Joanna.
12:20So tell me who you are dressing and what are you dressing her for?
12:24I'm dressing Miss Donna and I'm dressing her for her 40th birthday.
12:28So tell me about what you're thinking.
12:30She wanted something long and she really wants something strapless.
12:33Okay, so she wants long, strapless.
12:35And basically, her shape is more like this.
12:38Keeping that in mind, I reversed the ombre to go from dark to light.
12:41Right, so it's more flattering up top.
12:43Exactly.
12:43Good. And is it completely strapless?
12:45You're not doing a halter or anything like that?
12:47She's really open to one shoulder.
12:49She might want a one shoulder.
12:50It might just give her a bit more support.
12:52Okay.
12:52It's her 40th birthday.
12:53You've got to make her look rocking.
12:56You have to give her the night of her life.
12:58All right, well, listen, the best of luck.
12:59Good job.
13:00Thank you, Miss Joanna.
13:00Miss Donna really may need straps for that comfort.
13:03I think it's something that I could really talk her into.
13:06Hi, Uli.
13:07Who are you dressing and where is she going?
13:10I'm dressing Jessica and she's going to a wedding of her friend.
13:15I have to say, it looks to me like you're doing exactly the same dress as you're wearing.
13:19Yes.
13:19Is that what she asked?
13:20Kind of we bonded right away and I asked her, what kind of dresses do we like?
13:24And she was almost like, I don't really know, but I like what you're wearing.
13:28She wanted a purple print, but I couldn't find it.
13:31So I found this print, which is more graphic.
13:33Well, it's also very flattering to have the cut going like this.
13:37Is there anything you're worried about?
13:40Always.
13:40Good answer.
13:43Emilio.
13:44Hello, Joanna.
13:45Tell me about who you're dressing.
13:47Petty Officer First Class Lisa Dollhouse.
13:50She's clearly very brave, which she's going to have to be to wear all this yellow.
13:54Yes.
13:54She said yellow is her favorite color.
13:56Convince me with what you're doing here.
13:58What is the outfit that you're designing for?
14:00She is going to Las Vegas for her best friend's bachelorette party.
14:05Okay, fun.
14:06She wanted something short, flirty, yellow.
14:08Because I feel like this might be a difficult challenge for you, because you're more used
14:12to dressing red carpet and doing costumes, and I don't feel you have as much contact
14:17with the regular woman as some of the other designers in the room.
14:20Not all my clients are celebrities.
14:23Okay.
14:23So I dress regular women all the time.
14:25All right, let's hope Petty Officer Lisa Dollhouse likes what you've done.
14:30I hope so, too.
14:31Joshua, hello.
14:32Hi, Joanna.
14:33Who are you designing for?
14:34I'm designing for Leslie.
14:36She was a captain in the army.
14:38She was in Bosnia for quite a few years.
14:41She has a prosthetic leg.
14:42And does she have specific requirements for what she wants from you?
14:46She just wants to look beautiful.
14:48She loves cheetah or leopard print.
14:49So I was like, fantastic.
14:51I think it's a match made in heaven.
14:53Um, so, I mean, I could show you this is the leopard.
14:56It was originally white and black, but I just thought it was a bit too graphic.
14:59So I chose to dye the fabrics.
15:01So you dyed this specially for her?
15:03Mm-hmm.
15:03That's nice.
15:04You seem much more inspired this week.
15:06I do.
15:07This is a really, it hits home for me.
15:09My brother is in the military and has done two tours.
15:13Where's he done tours of duty?
15:14In Afghanistan.
15:15What does your brother think of your work as a designer?
15:20Having the show be aired last year, it just really gave him a perspective to my life.
15:27Was he, was he able to watch it or was he away?
15:30Yeah, he was home at that point.
15:31Okay.
15:31So he got to see you achieving something on television.
15:34Yeah, I think, you know, he's, this has been a great thing that's almost turned him to,
15:39you know, he's really proud of what I'm doing and it makes me feel so, so great.
15:45Good, good.
15:46The thing I'm most excited about is seeing you excited.
15:49I feel like you have the wind beneath your sails.
15:51Yeah, I'm happy to be doing this for them, I think.
15:54Doing well for this challenge means a lot to me.
15:56So I think I'm really pushing myself to excel and put my all into it.
16:03Designers, I'm really impressed by what's going on here.
16:06But I do want to remind you, it is a competition.
16:10Because this is where one person goes home and the remaining three go on to the finale.
16:15Okay, goodbye.
16:20I've got my Nine West shoes.
16:26This is the final four and the competition and the pressure is getting more real.
16:30I've been in the bottom but never been eliminated, so get used to it.
16:36Hello, Dye Master.
16:36What up?
16:39Like, look how drastically different that is.
16:40Oh yeah, that is.
16:41I dyed a lot on my season, so it's just natural for him to ask me what's going on with this.
16:47What are your thoughts to get it a little deeper green?
16:50He may lose the black if you get it any greener.
16:53It's not that I'm going to help him beat me.
16:55I'm giving him my opinion and he can take it or leave it.
16:57I just like having fun dyeing.
17:00Once the dye soaks in, it will take time for the fabric to dry.
17:04So I hope that I'm able to finish it up and make it look runway ready.
17:10Hello.
17:10Hi.
17:11How are you?
17:11Hayley.
17:12Hello.
17:12How are you?
17:13Hi.
17:13Whenever I told my mom that I was going to be on the show, she's like,
17:18oh my gosh, I hope you get early.
17:19She makes the most gorgeous dresses.
17:21I really want her to give Jessica a dress she can laugh and wear many, many times.
17:28So I'm trying to pin this bodice so it can fit Lisa's smaller frame and it's not working.
17:36Well, let's step over here.
17:37I've come to the conclusion that we have to make some real changes because by the time I tear this
17:43sucker apart, it's just going to be easier to make a new one.
17:48I'm trying to create something really difficult in a really short amount of time.
17:53We have a small budget.
17:54Yeah.
17:55We can only buy so much fabric.
17:56So much fabric.
17:57Yeah.
17:59I just want to make sure that I have enough of this because this is what I do on the fabric
18:03so it has a little more structure to it.
18:06Yeah.
18:06So I have to cut the fabric out.
18:08Then I have to fuse it to give it some structure.
18:11Barely covers it.
18:13Barely.
18:14And then do all the hand work.
18:17This first fitting is really crucial.
18:19I mean, putting this design on a mannequin is one thing.
18:21It's really when you get it on her, you really have to look and see, okay,
18:25what changes do I need to make for it to fit her?
18:27Yeah, this isn't going to make my chest look any bigger, right?
18:30No.
18:31We try to hide it.
18:32She's a little bit more bustier than the mannequin,
18:34so it's problem solving time again.
18:36I'm thinking with no support here, I'm going to need a strapless bra.
18:40I don't like the dress.
18:42It's not flattering.
18:43Donna's a beautiful, confident woman, but the dress just does nothing for her.
18:48You tell me.
18:49I'm going to pinch you down.
18:50I want you to see which one.
18:51Okay.
18:52At this point, I've shown her a couple of strap options
18:55and let her pick out what she wants.
18:57I like that, I have to tell you.
18:58What do you think?
18:59You like that a lot?
19:00I actually like that a lot.
19:01Yeah.
19:01Okay, so I'm still working a little bit.
19:05I'm not at a point to really be even doing a fitting yet.
19:08I'm going to go sew this really quick and then I'll be back.
19:11I don't want to rush the design that I do because I feel that it could hurt the product in the end.
19:18All right.
19:18All right.
19:19See you tomorrow morning.
19:20Catch some sea.
19:21All right.
19:27I mean, your nears looks beautiful.
19:29You know what?
19:30I'm doing a whole new top, so I'm like, ah!
19:32After Lisa and the ladies leave, I literally have one hour to try to create this new bodice.
19:40I am really, really concerned that it won't get done.
19:43This is just not what I imagined right now.
19:46I think Emilio is scrambling.
19:51It seems like he has to make a whole different top.
19:55Guys, let's go back to night hotel.
19:58Jump out of a window.
19:59Let's go.
20:00Maybe it's all going to look better with sleep.
20:02We're the final four.
20:15Remember when we first got here?
20:16We were all crowded around these two little chains.
20:22It's cool being the final four.
20:23I've never had this.
20:24Y'all are all, it's twos and twos and twos.
20:29I'm up against Uli, who was second.
20:31Joshua, who was second.
20:33And Emilio, who was second.
20:35I don't really understand what I've gotten myself into when it comes to this.
20:38Like, you can go home tomorrow.
20:39I know.
20:40All it takes is one bad dress.
20:41Right.
20:41Like you said, one inch.
20:43One inch can send you home.
20:45To the final four.
20:46The final four.
20:47The final four.
20:48Ching!
20:50All right, bedtime.
20:52Coming up on Project Runway All Stars.
20:54This is the most nervous I've ever been.
20:57Not flattering at all.
20:59My eye went straight there.
21:01We got two hours.
21:16I rush in and I realize I have to reconfigure the whole dress and put it together in two hours.
21:23That's not fun.
21:26Lordy lord lord.
21:27The first thing I know I need to do is get Miss Donna back in the dress.
21:34I need to see if what I've done to create this illusion of a waste is going to work on her.
21:39This is the most nervous I've ever been.
21:42I have a couple hours left to fix this dress, so I'm adding the straps on the top.
21:46I'm adding some sheer fabric and just make it work.
21:55Good morning.
21:56How are you?
21:56How are you?
21:58Are we fine?
21:59How are you?
21:59I love this down here.
22:01We really need to draw this in.
22:03And yeah, absolutely.
22:04I know right away I've got to draw the waste in and it's going to have to fit.
22:08Let's look at it lower, like here.
22:12If it doesn't fit, I'm just going to go home.
22:15If I had to pick one that was the most problematic, it would be Anthony Ryan's.
22:19The bust area is not flattering at all.
22:23It makes her look bigger than what she is, which is opposite of what she wanted.
22:27Okay, now let's get you out of this.
22:29We can take you to hair and makeup.
22:30Those guys are fabulous in Laura Mercier.
22:35Maybe a smoky eye.
22:37Make her glamorous party.
22:39We're going to turn you out and make you gorgeous.
22:41Let's just freshen her up.
22:42Give her a nice, pretty defined eye.
22:44I'm just really big on my eyes.
22:49I think the hair, like, really fun.
22:51So we like to do like a really nice, clean, straight, flat,
22:54a little tight on the sides and we can do like a nice wave.
22:56Okay.
23:00Yeah, I'm glad it's not purple because I think you get more use out of that.
23:04Jessica, I think, feels pretty good.
23:06She really likes the dress and I'm happy because on this challenge,
23:09I just want to make sure she's happy because she's actually going to wear this dress.
23:13Ooh.
23:15Uli's dress transformed Jessica.
23:18I think Uli might win this one.
23:20Oh my gosh, I love that.
23:21That is so cute.
23:23Oh.
23:23And then I did the center back as well.
23:26That is so sharp.
23:27You know, it was great to get Leslie to respond so positively towards the length of the skirt.
23:32Wow, it's like very cute but sexy.
23:36I think Joshua has done a fantastic job.
23:39He even made an outfit for the dog and I think he has a good shot.
23:43Five minutes, guys.
23:48Oh my god, my hands are not moving as fast as my brain.
23:51I'm going to pull these up a little more.
23:52I'm just going to tell you.
23:53Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
23:53Just because it feels more comfortable.
23:54Okay, yeah, whatever you want.
23:56Donna's dress is really not my aesthetic.
23:58I mean, I'm scared to death.
24:00Wow, I don't know what's happening here.
24:02Oh yeah, you know what?
24:03You just have to pull it down.
24:04This brand new dress is a bandeau top and it goes into a really slim, sexy skirt.
24:13Up.
24:14The only way I got it done in time is sheer adrenaline and fear of being sent home.
24:20All right, ladies, we ready for runway?
24:24Coming up on Project Runway All Stars.
24:27The dog's name is Isaac.
24:29It looks so homemade.
24:30My heart just stopped.
24:31If you would have gone big, then I would have been on board.
24:45Welcome back to The Runway Designers.
24:47This week, Project Runway All Stars is proud to be honoring veterans of the United States Armed Forces.
24:55We would like to thank Fatigues to Fabulous, the campaign that addresses women's issues when returning from combat.
25:02Each of you was paired with a female veteran to create a custom design for an important event.
25:08Our guests are also serving as your models today, so let's meet our judges.
25:12First, the designer and co-founder of Marquesa, the beautiful Georgina Chapman.
25:18Hi, designers.
25:22Next, one of the most famous names in fashion, designer Isaac Mizorahi.
25:27Hi, designers.
25:30Our first guest judge is one of America's most talented actresses.
25:35She is the co-founder of the fashion label Holmes & Yang.
25:39Please welcome Katie Holmes.
25:42Hi, designers.
25:44Our next guest judge is a designer who specializes in evening wear and high-end cocktail dresses.
25:50He's dressed a huge range of stars, including Beyoncé, Vanessa Williams, and Kate Winslet.
25:57Please welcome Carmen Marc-Volvo.
26:03The judges and I are excited to see the custom look you created for your clients.
26:08We're also very excited to see your models take their much-deserved walk down the runway.
26:13So, have a good show, everyone.
26:15When I see Jessica walk down the runway, I'm really impressed.
26:26I mean, she just looks like she belongs on a runway.
26:33I think the dress came together so great, it looks stunning on her.
26:37She just floats down the runway.
26:39On the runway, Lisa looks great, confident, sexy, fun.
26:53The color is beautiful on her.
26:57What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
27:02I think we might be better than I thought.
27:09I'm looking at the dress and the straps and the slit are working for me.
27:19I think the problem solving in the waistline may have gotten a little shifted.
27:23So, let's just pray for the best.
27:35Leslie and Isaac look exquisite.
27:39Leslie is radiating so much positive energy.
27:44And I think she looks simply divine.
27:51I think that's great.
27:57Designers, this week our veterans also had a say in creating your looks.
28:03So, we're going to hear from everyone.
28:06Let's bring out your models.
28:09We're going to hear from you.
28:10We're going to hear from you.
28:13Joshua, we'll start with you.
28:15Please introduce your model.
28:17This is Captain Leslie Smith and her service dog, Isaac.
28:21The dog's name is Isaac?
28:22Yes.
28:23Oh my God.
28:26And Leslie, what event will you be going to?
28:28I will be attending an upcoming formal military event that will be honoring
28:32our nation's veterans.
28:34I think it's a beautiful, beautiful dress.
28:36And what I love about this is that it just feels very comfortable and it feels very you.
28:42I love it.
28:43Carmen.
28:44Question.
28:45Did you make a conscious effort to show the prosthetic?
28:48Absolutely.
28:48I'm very proud as a female wounded warrior veteran to show my prosthetic.
28:53I'm very proud of my service and my survival story.
28:56I'm so happy you said that.
28:59It's very flattering to you, the silhouette.
29:01The v-neck is just perfect.
29:03I love the trim.
29:04And you're beaming.
29:06And that's important.
29:07So Joshua, well done.
29:10This is great.
29:11I love everything about the dress.
29:13But I would also love Isaac to be in something a little more glamorous.
29:17Seeing that his name is Isaac, he would be probably wearing something glamorous.
29:22Georgina.
29:23I love the little illusion you've used before the animal print, breaking it up.
29:27I think that was incredibly smart.
29:29I would have preferred it as a dress, I think.
29:31Because I think it might have been really nice if it was very fitted.
29:35But I really think overall, great job.
29:38Thank you, Georgina.
29:40Emilio.
29:40Yes.
29:41Please introduce us to your lovely model.
29:44This is Petty Officer First Class Lisa Dollhouse from the U.S. Navy.
29:49And what's your event, Lisa?
29:50My event is a bachelorette party in Viva Las Vegas.
29:54Ooh.
29:55I love this color.
29:57I think this dress is so much fun for this particular event, especially.
30:02You look beautiful.
30:03I love this color on you.
30:05But is it two different fabrics?
30:07It's all the same fabric.
30:09The top is fused to give it some structure.
30:12It looks like a mistake right now.
30:14It looks like you ran out of fabric.
30:16It's a lovely concept of a dress.
30:18But for me, I was a little bit disappointed when I saw the execution.
30:22Okay.
30:22The idea of the dress is simply perfect.
30:25You just have to bring that kind of cutting and sewing and lining and fitting out a little bit.
30:31You have to be a little bit more obsessive because it really does make or break your design.
30:37Do you mind turning around?
30:38You're so open in the back.
30:40I love the bra.
30:41But you should have cheated the back angle ever so slightly, which would have held it tight against your body.
30:49I love the whole idea of this dress.
30:52There is a little bit of color variation.
30:54But again, it's not a big deal because I wasn't even looking at that.
30:57I was just looking at how gorgeous you were when you walked out on the runway.
31:00And I just think that the overall design is absolutely perfect for a bachelorette party.
31:04So job well done.
31:05Thank you very much.
31:07Uli, you're next.
31:08My model is Corporal Jessica Lorde from the Marine Corps.
31:12And what is your event, Jessica?
31:14I have a wedding to go to from a friend from when I was really small.
31:18Can you turn around, please?
31:21I love the back.
31:22I love what you've done here.
31:24What is this kind of like?
31:24That's a knot so she can like tighten it like, you know, so she feels more secure.
31:29It's a really beautiful shape.
31:31I just, I love it.
31:33I think you've been very smart, making the dress feel secure.
31:37And the way that you've done the high-low hemline that just feels very free.
31:40It feels like you could have a good time in this dress.
31:43How do you feel in the dress, Jessica?
31:44I feel really good.
31:45I like that we talked about making it that way so I'd be comfortable to dance in.
31:49It's perfect for a wedding.
31:51Congratulations.
31:52And you look gorgeous.
31:53I love the shadowy thing that you did around the bust line.
31:57I wish the embellishment weren't on the dress.
31:59It was like the last minute.
32:00To kind of give it a kind of, it looks like it's last minute.
32:04I agree with Isaac with the embellishment.
32:08I might go with something that kind of goes with the fabric.
32:10Whether it's maybe a feather or something a little bit softer.
32:15She said feather.
32:16She's sort of the feather queen.
32:18I don't know how you knew that.
32:19No, I've been watching.
32:21Thank you, Katie.
32:22Carmen.
32:23What I really love about this dress is the way it fits.
32:26The bust is perfection.
32:29The illusion that you've created, the double straps in the front,
32:32the double straps in the back.
32:34Uli, a very, very good job.
32:35It's beautiful.
32:37Let's move on to Anthony Ryan.
32:39This is Captain Donna Berrios with the U.S. Air Force.
32:42Donna, what is your event?
32:43I will be wearing my dress to my 40th birthday party.
32:46You look really lovely.
32:47Anthony and Ryan, great job.
32:49How do you feel in your dress?
32:51I feel very hidden, which is what I wanted.
32:54Oh, you did?
32:54Very covered up.
32:55Yes.
32:56Why?
32:56I'm a bit curvier than I'm used to being at this point.
33:00Overcoming an injury, I've put on some weight.
33:03I personally would love to see you celebrate your curves,
33:07because that's my only issue I have with this dress,
33:09is that you're hidden.
33:11I wouldn't say that the bust area is so flattering.
33:14And that was the part I wanted to hide the most.
33:17Well, I say you should rock them, honestly.
33:21I would have liked to have seen your body
33:23showing off a little more.
33:24And I think you could do that in a way that's still conservative.
33:28I think that straight across neckline is very, very hard
33:32if you do have a big bust.
33:33And the straps are just a little bit claustrophobic.
33:37But I love the overall idea of the dress.
33:39I really do.
33:41My one sort of addition or idea would be instead of having the solid straps,
33:47I would do like maybe a beaded or something to take the place of a necklace.
33:51And it's just something that's fun.
33:53And in the vein of this is my party, this is my birthday.
33:56This was one of my favorite things.
33:58I love the kind of the spirit of this so, so, so much.
34:01And I think that you did a great job.
34:03No, it is not exactly the most figure flattering thing,
34:06but it's like you just kind of became her friend and just kind of gave her this incredibly chic dress.
34:12And it feels fresh and young.
34:15And I think she looks gorgeous.
34:17Ladies, it has been a real honor in meeting you all.
34:21Thank you for your service to our country.
34:25You may all leave the runway.
34:32Judges, what an incredible runway, no?
34:36I think what was most impressive was how inspired our designers were by their veterans.
34:43I say that we should start with our successes.
34:45Joshua, I have to say, what a surprise.
34:48I loved it.
34:48And I think she'll be able to wear that so often.
34:51He found his elegance this week.
34:52And proportionately, it was perfect.
34:55It just flattered her so well.
34:56And it looked fresh.
34:58I love the fact that she felt so good in it.
35:00I mean, the dress was gorgeous, of course.
35:02But the combination of the two, I thought was pretty outstanding.
35:05He could have gone completely wild with the leopard print.
35:07And he chose it in such a quiet, elegant way.
35:10I just would have liked to have seen it as a whole dress.
35:12But it was practical.
35:13It was very practical.
35:17What about Uli?
35:18I like the dress a lot.
35:19And I can't believe she can do something as ambitious as that in such a short amount of time.
35:24She was so masterful in being able to handle what her client wanted,
35:28whilst keeping her integrity as a designer.
35:30My one thing about it was the juxtaposition of that print next to that embellishment.
35:35It didn't work for me with the fabric.
35:37If she would have gone big, then I would have been on board.
35:40It's almost putting one extra flower on the cake or something that you don't need.
35:44I feel like Anthony Ryan just got lost with his client.
35:51There was just too much going on.
35:52I would have preferred to see the straps and the halter part done away with all together.
35:57The thing that was upsetting to me was it's like I want all this hidden,
36:00but my eye went straight there.
36:02The proportion was off.
36:03You want cleavage.
36:04You want beautiful breasts.
36:05You want a beautiful decote.
36:06That dress just made me very cross.
36:08I really liked it, and I will not hear this about how unflattering the dress was.
36:13I understand that, but your job as a designer is to take somebody's...
36:17Your job as a designer.
36:18Somebody else's job as a designer is to do something else.
36:21I'm sorry.
36:21It just was the wrong design.
36:25What about Emilia?
36:26Let's go to Emilia for a minute.
36:28The hem was not that great.
36:29There was a little bunched up fabric here and there,
36:32but the overall idea of the dress, she looked absolutely sexy.
36:35It just wasn't committed enough for me.
36:37I just thought the execution of the dress was just so poor.
36:40The skirt was a mess.
36:42I think the design element was there, but obviously it could have been made better.
36:45It was the start of something.
36:46There were a lot of beginnings on that dress that I don't think he took advantage of.
36:50I'm not mad about that color yellow on that girl.
36:53It looks so homemade to me.
36:55He better clean it up before her big night out.
37:00Out of the two, Anthony Ryan and Emilio, who do you think had the best collaboration?
37:04I think Anthony Ryan's was more successful.
37:07Well, you know how I feel, but I don't want to go into that.
37:09I like Emilio's.
37:11There's more right with his.
37:13I think it's Emilio too for the color.
37:15The color looks like he dyed that color in a bathtub last night.
37:18You know, we're really in a bit of a conundrum here.
37:21We're going to have to make a decision.
37:23So what do we do?
37:36Designers, all four of you really raised the bar this week.
37:40But this is Project Runway All Stars, where someone is always in and someone is always out.
37:46The color looks like he's wearing a hat.
37:48The color looks like he's wearing a hat.
37:54Designers, all four of you really raised the bar this week.
37:58But this is Project Runway All Stars, where someone is always in and someone is always out.
38:04Joshua, Uli, one of you is the winner of this week's challenge.
38:17And that designer is...
38:19Katie, would you do the honors, please?
38:25Sure.
38:28Joshua.
38:30Congratulations.
38:32Congratulations, Joshua.
38:34Your look is perfect for Leslie's military event.
38:37And we will see you next week.
38:40You may leave the runway.
38:42I won.
38:43And it feels really good.
38:44It just validates why I'm here in this competition.
38:49So, boom.
38:52Uli, you did a great job.
38:54And you are also safe.
38:55Thank you so much.
38:56You may leave the runway.
38:59We love you.
39:04Hi!
39:05Oh, my God.
39:06You guys are so cute.
39:07Yeah.
39:08Hi.
39:09Oh, my God.
39:09I thought it was.
39:10We won the challenge, Isaac.
39:13We won the challenge.
39:14I haven't had a good critique like that in...
39:17Oh, my goodness.
39:17Ever.
39:24Emilio, we loved the color you chose, but we felt that your execution was off.
39:31This is All Stars, and we expect perfection from you.
39:37Anthony Ryan, your fabric choice felt fresh and young, but we wish you would have celebrated your
39:44clients' curves more.
39:46A real Project Runway All-Star has to design for all body types.
39:54Anthony Ryan?
39:54You're safe.
40:06Emilio, you're also safe.
40:14Thank you very much.
40:15For the first time on Project Runway All-Stars, we don't have a reason to eliminate any of you.
40:21My heart just stopped beating.
40:23You guys are both through to next week, but don't get too comfortable.
40:27We're down to the best of the best.
40:30That's why you're both here.
40:31So you need to show us that you both have what it takes.
40:34So you may leave the runway.
40:36Yay!
40:37See you next week.
40:38Thank you very much.
40:39Let's get out of here.
40:47Who wants to put up with us again?
40:53You're so silly.
40:54I am happy to be still in the competition to hopefully reach the goal that I came here for.
41:00You're crazy.
41:03I can see through that face.
41:05You silly goose.
41:06I must have a fairy drag mother today because I was in the bottom and no one's going home this week.
41:12Thank God.
41:13Well, ladies, it was a pleasure you brought these pieces to life.
41:16You better turn it up or you're going to go for it.
41:19Good luck, everyone.
41:19Thank you so much.
41:21Good luck to you.
41:22I love the dress, by the way.
41:24Bye, guys.
41:24Bye, y'all.
41:25Bye, y'all.
41:25Thanks.
41:25Bye.
41:26Have a blast.
41:27Next on Project Runway All-Stars.
41:32You'll be shopping at the Rue des Ingenieux in Paris.
41:38We're in Paris actually going to the house of Valentina.
41:41Bonjour, designer.
41:43It's an epic moment.
41:45It's a couture of Paris.
41:47It doesn't look like couture.
41:48I've seen that everywhere.
