00:00Previously on Project Runway All Stars.
00:03Please welcome Diane von Furstenberg.
00:06You only have six hours.
00:09To design a look inspired by gelato flavor.
00:12What the am I gonna make in six hours?
00:15This is the fastest challenge in Project Runway history.
00:20I got six hours to save the world.
00:22The whole entire room is stressing.
00:24You are the envy of every designer in this room
00:27because you work so fast.
00:28You just got to deliver.
00:30How can you have a fashion moment
00:31if you're staying with what you're comfortable with?
00:33I really just need to get something done.
00:37I hate this.
00:38I don't know if I'm gonna be able to pull it off.
00:42The back is absolutely to die for.
00:44I think it's a great dress.
00:46Michael, you gotta call me after the show.
00:49The winning designer is...
00:51Michael!
00:53Oh my God!
00:55I wanted to create something that was light
00:57like the taste of the gelato.
00:58The back is scary and the belt is scary.
01:00It's just all over the place.
01:02I'm sorry, April.
01:03That means you're out.
01:0413 of the best designers from Project Runway are back.
01:11And this time, the competition is tougher than ever.
01:15Each week, their skills are tested to the limit
01:18as they compete for the biggest prize in runway history.
01:22Who will be cut?
01:23And who will have it all sewn up?
01:24This is Project Runway All-Stars.
01:30The winner of Project Runway All-Stars will sell their merchandise
01:33within an exclusive boutique at select Neiman Marcus stores
01:36and on neimanmarcus.com.
01:38The winner will also get a spread in Mary Claire magazine
01:40in a position as guest editor for one year.
01:43$100,000 in technology and office space from HP and Intel.
01:47A sewing and embroidery studio provided by Brother International
01:51and a cash prize of $100,000 courtesy of L'Oreal Paris.
02:06We walk quite the distance to see Miss Angela waiting for us
02:10in the hot sun.
02:11Hi, designers.
02:12Hi.
02:13Welcome to Central Park.
02:16I thought it would be nice for you to get out of the house,
02:18get some fresh air and sunshine.
02:22You've all been working so hard.
02:23Correct.
02:25Are you ready for your next challenge?
02:26Yes.
02:28All right.
02:29This week's challenge is going to be about designers and their muse.
02:35And your challenge is to find a muse to inspire a fashion-forward look.
02:40It could be anyone.
02:41It could be anyone.
02:42A tourist, a trendsetter, anyone.
02:45I'm looking around and I'm going, okay, um, how are we possibly going to make something
02:50interesting out of this, like, casual park attire?
02:54But there is an all-stars twist.
02:58You have to convince your muse to give you their clothes off their back.
03:04What?
03:05Hold on a second.
03:07A stranger is going to give us their clothes?
03:10I think this challenge is so amazing because I've taken so many daggers in this competition for having a personality.
03:17But it will be the fact that you have a personality that will allow you to succeed.
03:22And you have a budget of $150.
03:24And you can use this to convince your muse to give you their clothes off their back.
03:29And then the rest of the money you can use to get fabric at Mood.
03:32Okay.
03:33Okay.
03:34This is definitely going to be a challenge because, you know, I'm practically going to walk up to people and beg them for their clothes.
03:40We're in New York, so we know that New Yorkers don't take that very well.
03:43Half of your look must come from your muse's clothing.
03:46Okay.
03:48You all have HP cameras so that you can take a photograph and remember your muse's look.
03:53You guys want some good news?
03:54Yes.
03:55Please.
03:56You have two days to do this challenge.
03:58Yay!
03:59I knew you'd be happy about that.
04:00Awesome.
04:02Good luck.
04:03I'll see you back on the runway with your fashion-forward looks.
04:05Off you go.
04:06All right.
04:07Let's go.
04:08Oh, I'm gonna slip.
04:09I'm like a girl.
04:10All right.
04:11Woo-hoo!
04:12Beg, borrow, steal.
04:13I will do whatever I have to do to get what I need to move forward.
04:17Oh, my God.
04:18You look amazing.
04:19Can I ask you guys a question?
04:21Excuse me.
04:22Hi.
04:23I think you're gorgeous.
04:24I love your style.
04:25My name's Austin Scarlett.
04:26I'm a fashion designer.
04:27How are you?
04:28Good.
04:29How are you?
04:30Good.
04:31Nice to meet you.
04:32I'm Rami.
04:33I love your look.
04:34We're at the mercy of what we can find.
04:35And then also, it's like, can we actually get them to give us the clothes?
04:39Well, I'm glad.
04:40All of a sudden, I've noticed Mila has gained a personality.
04:42Me having a personality is me just being Anthony L. William.
04:45Hi.
04:46How are you?
04:47I'm okay.
04:48I'm Anthony from Project Runway.
04:49And I am literally coming to take the clothes right off your back.
04:53I need your top.
04:54And I'm going to remake it on the show.
04:55And I'm actually going to make you my muse.
04:57Will you help me?
04:58I guess, but what would I wear?
05:00We have a white t-shirt to give you in return.
05:03And you can put your apron back on then.
05:04Your scent, your waist, and you're all high fashion all over again.
05:06Okay.
05:07You ready?
05:08What's your name?
05:09Maeve.
05:10Maeve, thank you, I'm Anthony.
05:11This woman just caught my eye when I initially saw her.
05:14This amazing floral print, colorful top.
05:18And I'm like, I'm going to make you my muse.
05:20I would have to buy your tank top off of you.
05:22Out of each ten people you asked, there's probably going to be two or three people that were going to be willing to give you something.
05:27Buy it off of you.
05:29I don't want to sell this off this tank top.
05:31Are you sure?
05:32Yeah, I'm sorry.
05:33It's okay, thank you.
05:34Can I buy your t-shirt off of you?
05:36I really can.
05:37Okay, girl.
05:38It's super cute though.
05:39Enjoy it.
05:40We don't have a lot of money.
05:41Okay.
05:42I really got to have this dress.
05:43Um, I don't know why I like this dress.
05:45I like it too.
05:46That's why you got to work with me here.
05:48I'm sorry, but thank you.
05:50Oh, okay.
05:51I hate today's challenge.
05:52I really do.
05:53I don't like it.
05:54It's not fun.
05:55I wish I had more time and more people to approach in the park.
05:59There's a lot of people who are just like, get the F away from me.
06:03I don't want to talk to you.
06:05So, I was mortified.
06:07Hello.
06:08Hi.
06:09I approached this very cool, young girl.
06:12Who had this very funky sort of punk, glam look.
06:19I finally see this cool girl and she's wearing this really pretty silk, black and white striped top.
06:28I'm a designer.
06:29And I would love for you to be my muse and take this actual shirt off your back for something.
06:34I'd love to offer you some money.
06:36How much?
06:37I have like $50.
06:38Is that enough?
06:39And I have something to give to you so you're not walking around with just a bra on.
06:42Yeah.
06:43Let's do it.
06:44Oh, thank you so much.
06:45Can I get your picture?
06:46Thanks.
06:47Perfect.
06:48Will you be my muse?
06:49Yes, I will.
06:50All right.
06:52You're welcome.
06:53I could already envision sort of like a high fashion version of this girl's look.
06:56You, I think, look fabulous.
06:58I love your style.
06:59I love the nails, the gold and the black.
07:02You better make this fabulous.
07:04Well, you're the inspiration so it will be fabulous.
07:07You're fabulous.
07:08This is fabulous.
07:09What's your name?
07:10Grace.
07:11Grace.
07:12Hi, I'm Mondo.
07:13I see this really, really cute girl.
07:14She has a great sense of style and she has this really psychedelic, beautiful print.
07:19So I was wondering if I could buy the clothes off your back.
07:25Yes.
07:26Yes.
07:27Okay, good.
07:28Can I see that coat?
07:29Please?
07:30You can't buy my coat.
07:31Can I just look at it?
07:32Why, why, why are you so attached to this coat?
07:35I don't know.
07:36I just got it.
07:37What if I give you 50 for both of them?
07:39For this and that?
07:41I'll do it for 60.
07:42Okay, 60.
07:43Okay, good, good, good, good.
07:44Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
07:46Love your dress.
07:47Love the stripes.
07:48If you're going to be willing to part with your shirt, I can give you $20 for it.
07:51$20?
07:52$20.
07:53Do I get replacement clothing?
07:54I think it's pomegranate or raspberry or fuchsia or delicious.
07:57I don't know what you want to call it.
07:58I'll go for delicious.
07:59Delicious.
08:00Did you say delicious?
08:01Delicious, delicious, delicious, delicious.
08:03Wow.
08:04And I even got a hula hoop dressing room for you and all that.
08:06Okay.
08:07Okay, cool.
08:09And it's going to be with me if that makes any difference.
08:11That makes a difference.
08:13Here you go, baby.
08:15Take it off you, Val.
08:16Come on.
08:17Woo!
08:18Oh, stop.
08:20I'm so appreciative.
08:22I'll strip for you, big way.
08:23That won't be necessary today, homeboy.
08:26But thank you for the offer.
08:28$20, $40, $50.
08:30That's yours to keep.
08:31You won't get this back, but I promise you it's going to be turned into something awesome.
08:34When I saw her, I knew that she was the one.
08:37I was like, oh.
08:38The sun was shining behind her.
08:40Chickens were hatching.
08:42Jesus came back.
08:43It was wonderful.
08:45Hi, hot white guy.
08:47How are you?
08:48I'm Anthony.
08:49What's your name?
08:50Diego.
08:51Diego?
08:52Nice to meet you.
08:53I'm doing a show and I need to take them and make them redo them all together.
08:58Take them off, honey.
08:59Take them off.
09:00Yay!
09:01Back off, bitches.
09:02This one's mine.
09:03It's very funny.
09:04Some people are saying no, but all the men say yes.
09:05Oh, I'm sure.
09:06Take it off.
09:07Yes, honey.
09:08And all I can give you in return is a smile.
09:09Bye-bye.
09:10Get the hell out of mine.
09:11Oh, my God.
09:12No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
09:13Oh, my God.
09:14I'll give you something.
09:15You can bring it up.
09:16Please, please, please.
09:17I don't know about Anthony and him, but I got the guy's phone number.
09:19Oh, my God.
09:20Oh, my God.
09:21Oh, my God.
09:22Oh, my God.
09:23Oh, my God.
09:24Oh, my God.
09:25Oh, my God.
09:26Oh, my God.
09:27Oh, my God.
09:28Oh, my God.
09:29Oh, my God.
09:30Oh, my God.
09:34Ladies, that's how you get them at.
09:36Ooh, amazing.
09:37Lady Antoinette is giving us life lessons.
09:45We have 30 minutes to shop, and the remainder of our money to use on whatever you need to complete
09:51your look.
09:52Now, compare them all when I'm done.
09:54Going into Mu, I naturally have a plan of action.
09:57That's pretty.
09:58I go straight to the wool crepes, and I find exactly what I'm looking for.
10:03Ten minutes.
10:04Okay.
10:05How you doing?
10:0650% of the final outfit has to be made from things we get from the park.
10:11I'm using 100%.
10:12I bought no fabric from Mood because I think that that is just kind of sitting your baby
10:16in a bear trap.
10:17Why would you do that?
10:18One yard of this.
10:20I was afraid that maybe I'll run out of money, but I actually had one penny left.
10:26All right, designer, time's up.
10:28I can't.
10:29My budget's 45.
10:32105.90.
10:33Is that because it's fresh?
10:34No.
10:35It seemed like everyone was really running short on money.
10:39Kara asked if I had any extra money, if she could use it, but if I had any money extra,
10:45I absolutely would have given it.
10:47Anyone can I give back a yard of fabric?
10:51It was kept to a minimum.
10:53Our budget was tight.
10:54It was just enough for just a little.
10:56What is that you need?
10:57I need $3.
11:02I think Michael's going to give you more of Michael.
11:03This one?
11:04Yeah.
11:05All right.
11:06That would be amazing.
11:07Can you give her whatever needs to complete her transaction out of my money?
11:12Here is your dollar.
11:13I got three bucks from three of my fellow competitors who I love.
11:23You know, I always give back to the community.
11:28We all help each other where we can.
11:30Does anybody have four cents?
11:32Just kidding.
11:34I think this is a really great challenge.
11:48We have to use somebody in New York City as a muse, but there's a twist.
11:55We need to use their clothes straight off of their back.
11:59I don't want to know where some of these stains came from.
12:03My first order of business is to attack these jeans.
12:06I need to basically make a guy's size 34 jean into a model size 2-4.
12:14My background is totally playing into this challenge.
12:17That's how I started designing and learning how to make patterns.
12:20I would go to thrift stores and buy a bunch of crap and, you know, take it home and rip it
12:25apart and see how it was constructed and then turn it into something new for myself.
12:29Let's see here.
12:31I'm definitely excited about this whole challenge.
12:34I think it's really fun.
12:35I'm in love with my muse.
12:37She really is a muse in the true sense of the word.
12:42There she is.
12:43Oh, you're making a hot pant?
12:45Yeah.
12:46I thought that would be fashion for the little cape jacket with the belt.
12:51I'm just getting started, but I know that I'm going to do separates.
12:54The gay part is more fabric than my shorts.
12:57This is brown and fabric.
12:58No, it's a top going up under there as well.
13:00Oh, okay.
13:01No, no, no.
13:02No, no, no, no, no.
13:03If I don't know how to do anything else, I know how to meet the requirements of the challenge.
13:07The challenge requires us to use 50% of the materials that we recovered from the streets in our design.
13:14I have not completely chosen all of the fabrics.
13:17I don't know exactly how much other people got, but I got a lot of garments on the street.
13:22In the workroom, I'm totally stressed out.
13:25I've been playing with this crochet fabric, and I really can't get anywhere with it.
13:29I really want to use it because I think it has some beautiful elements.
13:32I have to think about it.
13:35I just feel like I'm in a bad spot right now because I'm not as inspired as I want it to be.
13:53Oh, that's pretty, Rami Cushu.
13:55You like?
13:56Love.
13:57All right, you guys, it's 11 o'clock, time to go.
13:59Actually, yeah, I'm starting to sew, but I haven't cut out all the pattern pieces yet.
14:04Thank you, Mondo.
14:05So this morning, we wake up.
14:20It's our second day of our sort of streetwear muse of the city challenge.
14:26And we're all anxious to really sort of get started and create.
14:31So are you still doing, like, the belt and chiffon and the crochet?
14:35Yeah.
14:36I love that's the idea that I like the crochet little sleeve.
14:39Yeah, the cap.
14:41Yesterday, Michael was definitely feeling the pressure.
14:44I mean, coming off of two wins, he definitely has to keep up the momentum.
14:48And I think the pressures could be getting to him.
14:52Let's make passion.
14:54You know how you have, like, a brainstorm?
15:10First.
15:11Well, yeah, what's happening now?
15:14I don't know what I'm doing at this point.
15:16I'm not good with putting scraps together to come up with beauty.
15:20Okay, so you're getting ideas.
15:21I don't like that little jacket, but I can still use it as a top.
15:24As a top, I would love it.
15:26I've moved from shorts to now I have pants.
15:30My jacket has gone from being a top to now a blouse, and possibly I have a cardigan.
15:35I made this top, and today is, like, a totally 180 for me.
15:48I just feel so much better.
15:50This time I am going to be working out separates,
15:52because I just think it would be cool to show the judges something different.
15:55Let them have it.
15:56And let them have it.
15:57Being in the park yesterday, I saw a lot of exposed skin.
16:00So if you got a great body, show it off in a way that, of course, is not slutty.
16:04Good morning, designers.
16:06Good morning.
16:07Good morning.
16:08Hi.
16:09I cannot wait to find out how you got on the streets of New York yesterday.
16:14It's my favourite place to look for inspiration,
16:17and I'm going to come around and interrogate you all.
16:20Mondo, I've come to interrupt you.
16:22It's okay.
16:23How are you doing?
16:24Now, you have great street style.
16:26Tell me about them.
16:27Do you have photos of them?
16:28Uh, well, this is my muse.
16:29Her name's Grace, and so my fantasy for her
16:33wears, like, Tokyo street wear.
16:36Is this a challenge you could win?
16:37Because you haven't actually got a challenge under your belt yet, have you?
16:40Right.
16:41And yet I think of street style as in your ballpark.
16:44I'm feeling good.
16:45It's just about getting this jacket done.
16:46I'm making priorities and what I need to finish first,
16:49and then just keep on knocking them out until it's done.
16:51Good.
16:52Cool. Thank you.
16:53Okay, good luck.
16:54Bye-bye.
16:55Be cool.
16:56Hello.
16:57Hi, Jerelle.
16:58My muse is actually this woman here.
16:59Okay.
17:00How are you going to take that and show me this as a designer?
17:04Definitely in this shape.
17:05Like, I made this neck piece here that's going to be very interesting.
17:07It's bold.
17:08It's confident.
17:09What?
17:10Did you get these from Mood?
17:11No, no, no.
17:12Actually, I got that from the Neiman Marcus accessory wall.
17:14There's some really good stuff, isn't there?
17:15Beautiful pieces.
17:16All right, so I am feeling a little anxious about this mix.
17:21When you see it all together, it's just the right amount of this, a little bit of that.
17:26You say?
17:27Yes.
17:28Right.
17:29Jerelle.
17:30Hmm.
17:31Not exactly sure what's going on with that.
17:33Somebody looks like they're coming to America.
17:35First of all, tell me who on earth gave up their clothes to you?
17:39She was this really cool girl.
17:41I wanted to just take her look and just sort of give it a chic glamour to it.
17:48What do you think of the epaulettes?
17:50Are they, like, too much?
17:51They're a little too exaggerated at the moment.
17:54But I think when they go down, it's a pretty nice detail, I think, especially for her belt.
17:58Okay.
17:59Austin's look is a little bit overworked.
18:01To me, it can come across a little cheap.
18:04Hello.
18:05How is it going?
18:08Speaking with Joanna and seeing Joanna is always wonderful.
18:11However, I have no clue what I'm doing.
18:13This is Maeve.
18:15Great.
18:16You got this dress from Maeve.
18:17I got this dress from Maeve.
18:19What are the other things you got you?
18:20I've got T-shirts from the people who work there.
18:24I've got shirts from boys.
18:26I don't know if I was more interested in the shirt of the boy, but...
18:29Well, that's not going to help you with your design.
18:31Inspiration can come from anywhere.
18:33Well, that's true.
18:35Talk to me about the look that you're pulling together.
18:37This is going to be like a jacket, just a little crop jacket.
18:41I'm not exactly sure about the top.
18:43I'm trying to finish the jacket because I feel like because of the business of the print,
18:47it's going to guide me in exactly where I want to go with everything else.
18:51Okay.
18:52I'm surprised that you're doing this because I still think of you as sort of Anthony the gown maker.
18:56But this sounds like it's going to come together.
18:59I know Anthony is having a really hard time with the items that he got from Union Square.
19:03He got a very trippy polyester print.
19:08And, I mean, that doesn't sound like Anthony at all.
19:11Hi, Michael.
19:12Hi, Joanna.
19:13How's it going?
19:14Um, okay.
19:15I'm in a better place today.
19:17Why?
19:18What happened to you yesterday?
19:19Well, during the last few hours of last night, I came up with this concept and was able to try and get this sort of thing done.
19:28These slightly reminds me of sort of doilies.
19:32No!
19:33Doily was not the word I was wanting to hear.
19:36All right.
19:37Well, throw yourself at it.
19:38No playing safe, okay?
19:39Michael's design looks very amateur.
19:41He had this lace that is not a good look.
19:44All right, guys.
19:45I'm off.
19:46Remember, keep it edgy and have a great runway show.
19:50Okay.
19:52Bye.
19:53Bye.
20:04After Joanna critiqued it and said, it reads off as a bit doily.
20:10I made this top.
20:11I really had to piece it together.
20:14I've never done something like that before.
20:16And now it's architecturally really cool.
20:19I will piece it together until it can't be pieced.
20:23Never.
20:28Mondo has a gift of combining different fabrics, prints, textiles.
20:33I think he's really amazing at that.
20:35And that doesn't work for everybody.
20:37Yeah.
20:38Okay, like, check it out in the mirror.
20:40Jerrell's design is one of the most tasteless things I've ever seen in my life.
20:45So love that.
20:47After my model fitting, that just went like butter on toast.
20:52I expect to be in the top three.
20:53I'm ripped.
20:54I'm ripped to win, actually.
20:55to hurt.
20:56I'm ready to win.
20:57And with the shorts, I think it'll be really interesting.
21:00How does that feel?
21:02Feels good.
21:05I think going into this challenge, I have questioned myself so much to whether at this point, and it's in the final hours, I don't even have a garment.
21:12So do y'all talk about who y'all think going home next?
21:15I hope it's not us.
21:16I hope it's not us.
21:17No, I hope it's not us.
21:19Why aren't you looking as modern and chic as you were in my head?
21:31I am most definitely struggling in this challenge.
21:34And I keep in my mind, trying to make it work, and it keeps telling me, bitch, stop.
21:41In my heart, I want to do a straight leg pant that is gorgeous, and I'm trying to take T-shirts, old dated 1970 dresses, and turn them into something that is beautiful and fashion forward.
21:53It looks Grandma Mom.
21:54I was going to use the Shamus fuchsia, and then I'm like, this T-shirt fuchsia is kind of cool.
22:05Oh.
22:06Mila, Kenly, and myself are the last three girls left, and it's kind of now that you see the pattern, you realize that all the ladies are going.
22:15But the girls are doing good on this challenge.
22:17Mila's got great pants, Kenly's got a great dress.
22:20I'm going to have a great outfit.
22:22Girls are solid.
22:23That's really pretty.
22:27My denim jacket is made from two pairs of pants, and it's roughly 22 pieces.
22:32It's a lot of seam work, but it's coming out really nice.
22:35So cute.
22:40What am I going to use?
22:50Ooh, Anthony.
22:52Fuchsia.
22:54I basically create this kind of onesie, Palazzo pants, jumper.
22:59Oh, I love a waistband.
23:00I have my energy back.
23:02I'm very pleased with my design, and I'm very excited to see it on the runway.
23:07All right, everybody.
23:08It's 9 o'clock.
23:09Let's go home.
23:10All right, everybody.
23:19We're back at the work room in the morning to get ready for the runway, and I feel like I'm on the right track and everything is falling into place.
23:26This is my edgy bitch look.
23:29Kenly is loud.
23:31If a black person says that you are loud, you are too loud.
23:35Okay, now the other way.
23:38Hi, girl.
23:39Okay, so you're comfortable with those?
23:41Yeah.
23:42And they're hot.
23:43And they're hot.
23:44Who's your dog?
23:45Look at that.
23:46Woo!
23:47Damn, girl.
23:48You're going to get some looks walking down that street.
23:52Oh, girl!
23:54I see Michael's look, and I really appreciate it because I think it's daring.
23:58And that girl's just hot.
24:00Jerrell's having a lot of conversations.
24:03There's a lot of women in this one outfit, so I'm trying to figure out who this woman is.
24:08Yo, your bum looks amazing.
24:14Put your legs together.
24:19So, Kenly finished Cara's pants, including the fit, sewing, and some other stuff.
24:28Are you serious?
24:29Yeah.
24:32What the ?
24:33I would never ask somebody to finish sewing anything for me.
24:37I just think that's not okay.
24:39I feel like it's all on you.
24:40I mean, this is a competition after all.
24:42It's so insane how she's, like, in everybody's business this morning.
24:45Like, walking around like a teacher.
24:47They're very appropriate for what you're doing.
24:49Oh, my gosh.
24:50These are perfect.
24:51Oh, what a cute hat.
24:53No, no, no, no.
24:54Cut it more.
24:55Why are you trying to give advice?
24:56Don't you want to win?
24:58Unbelievable.
24:59I don't want to take it too high because it almost looks really good.
25:02No, no, no.
25:03I'm high.
25:04Did you want me to finish this for you?
25:05No.
25:06It's just done.
25:14Time to take our models to the L'Oreal hair and makeup room.
25:18So, we're doing punk rock glam today.
25:21Aw.
25:22Very Sarah Jessica Parker circa 1999 meets 2002.
25:27But futuristic.
25:32Love to have, like, a voluminous ponytail.
25:38Thanks, you guys.
25:41Hey, you guys.
25:42Take a few minutes before you hit the runway, okay?
25:43Pull these sloppy-ass looks together.
25:50I can't believe I'm not even quitting.
25:54Hey, everybody.
25:55It's time to head down to the runway.
25:56Come on, let's go.
26:04Hello, designers.
26:05Hi.
26:06This week's challenge took you out onto the streets of New York
26:09to find a muse.
26:10We asked you to persuade people to give you the clothes off their back
26:14to create a fashion-forward version of that look.
26:17So, let's meet the judges.
26:19First, we have designer and co-founder of Marquesa, Georgina Chapman.
26:24Hi.
26:25Hey.
26:26And next, we have one of the most famous names in fashion,
26:29Isaac Mizrahi.
26:31Hello.
26:32And our guest judge this week is a rising star on the New York fashion scene.
26:36He took time out from crushing the opposition on the ice
26:39to interning at Vogue magazine.
26:41By day, he's a bad boy of hockey.
26:44And by night, he's a GQ trendsetter.
26:47New York Rangers hockey star, Sean Avery.
26:50Hey.
26:52Hello, guys.
26:53Sean Avery's a hottie hockey player, and he interned at Vogue,
26:57and I love his persona.
26:59I think he's great.
27:00So, let's do it.
27:01Have a great show.
27:06I think it's fun when you get to work with real people in mind
27:11and thinking about what the look is for.
27:14I think that it's kind of refreshing.
27:17She's very elegant.
27:24My model looks like the coolest, sexiest, baddest bitch on the block.
27:29That's awesome.
27:30It's chic.
27:31It's edgy.
27:32It's fun.
27:33It definitely has this rock star coolness to it,
27:37but with sort of couture feeling as well.
27:40I'm hoping the judges notice the clean lines,
27:46just understated chic,
27:48and just like a certain effortlessness about her,
27:52that it doesn't feel tortured.
27:59The look comes together perfectly for me.
28:01It looks exactly like what I was going for.
28:04A hip, beautiful girl walking down the street
28:07in a cool outfit that she put together.
28:10I think my model looks amazing.
28:15She's exactly what I was going for.
28:17It's sexy.
28:18It's young.
28:19It's Jarrell.
28:20I love my look.
28:21I think it totally reads true to who I am.
28:23I think it's definitely appropriate for the challenge,
28:25and I think it stands out on the runway.
28:27Work for me, mama.
28:32I think she looks beautiful.
28:34I love the design.
28:36It looks feminine.
28:37It looks elegant.
28:38It looks chic.
28:39It's a beautiful design.
28:41Oh, oh, Japeau.
28:43My model looks beautiful.
28:49She's perfect.
28:50This would be something she will wear to work,
28:53at night, out to dinner, or at a bar,
28:56and it's very inspired by street fashion.
29:00Wow.
29:01She looks wonderful.
29:02She looks like a dream realized.
29:05She's done in great taste.
29:07I think that the design is very well balanced,
29:09and there's nothing else that I could do
29:11to make this look be any more beautiful
29:13than what it already is.
29:20My model looks really good.
29:21I think she's bringing a really great energy
29:23to the runway, and once again,
29:25she doesn't disappoint me.
29:27She looks like a million bucks.
29:29Her confidence exudes and holds up the entire outfit.
29:33If I call your name, please step forward.
29:43Henley.
29:44Mila.
29:46Kara.
29:49Congratulations, ladies.
29:50You're safe.
29:51Your designs will keep you in the competition.
29:53You can relax and leave the runway.
29:55Gentlemen, let's bring out your models.
30:08We'll start with you, Rami.
30:10I was inspired by the menswear take,
30:11and I wanted to take that and sort of use it
30:14in a womenswear type of look.
30:16I love the way you put the trim on the shorts.
30:18They look very well made.
30:19I can see who your woman is.
30:20I can see the pairing, and I think it's well done.
30:23I really like the look.
30:24Congratulations, because that's not easy to do shorts,
30:26and her legs look great.
30:28I would love to see women in business suits
30:31with this kind of style as opposed to just
30:33the boring, conservative look.
30:35Great.
30:36Thank you, Rami.
30:38Michael, you're next.
30:39My muse was this bohemian girl.
30:42She was really cute.
30:43I used the shorts that I took from one lady
30:46and constructed this top, and used the top
30:49that I got from one lady and made shorts.
30:52I have to say, if my daughter ever walked out in New York
30:55in shorts that short, she would be put
30:57straight back through the front door.
30:59I don't see many women walking around New York like that.
31:01Maybe on the beach.
31:02I thought it was a swimsuit when I saw it come out.
31:05The sagginess of the top, that really is bothersome.
31:08When you're talking about, like, burning your bra,
31:10that's fine, but don't look like that.
31:12You know what I mean?
31:13It needs a little more structure.
31:15I think that if it was paired with something,
31:17maybe a jacket or something that she just wasn't so bare.
31:21Jerrel.
31:22I saw this mother and son walking.
31:24They seemed really happy.
31:25I love my, like, kind of ethnic prints,
31:27and I love to mix things.
31:29That was kind of my inspiration.
31:30She looks like someone that should be in, like,
31:32the Lion King.
31:34Looks like a costume from, like, stage.
31:36Initially, what I wrote down was Lady Gaga and Gwen Stefani
31:41at Burning Man on acid.
31:43I could see that.
31:45Yeah.
31:46I absolutely love what you've done on the top,
31:48and I'm torn because of that.
31:49You've got so many good elements there.
31:51I think it, visually, there's just, it's too confusing.
31:54Something about that big stomach right now,
31:56it just, it doesn't look sexy.
31:58It looks the opposite of sexy.
31:59I should never refer to a woman's stomach as big.
32:02Sorry.
32:03Mondo.
32:06My muse was this young woman named Grace,
32:10and the black jeans are from a guy named Pedro.
32:14And then this piece of patent was the piece I bought from Mood.
32:19I would die for this outfit.
32:21I love it.
32:23I think that Grace would be so proud,
32:25and I love her hair.
32:26I love her whole look.
32:27Can we see the back as well?
32:29You see an even little detailing in the back,
32:32and the way little V comes down with the stripes and the shorts
32:35is so flattering.
32:36I love how bare it is and how covered it is
32:39and how in control that girl is.
32:42Everything about her I really, really like.
32:44I could picture a lot of girls walking around the streets,
32:47whether you were uptown or downtown or in midtown,
32:50wearing that.
32:51Thank you, Mondo.
32:53Anthony.
32:54I had a lot of T-shirts for some reason,
32:56bright-colored T-shirts, and I had that as the foundation,
32:59which is actually the print in the bag.
33:01So how much of this look was actually used from fabric of the streets?
33:05Everything above the waist as well as the bag.
33:08She looks beautiful.
33:09I like it.
33:10I would do a double back on a woman that walked by me wearing that.
33:14Would you?
33:15Don't ask him that.
33:17I love the look, but part of the judging criteria has to be 50% of the fabric.
33:23Part of being a designer is to design within the parameters that you're given.
33:27It's lovely, but I don't think it really answers the challenge.
33:31Thank you, Anthony.
33:33Okay, Austin.
33:34How did you get along on the streets of New York?
33:37I found this amazing girl to be my muse.
33:40Her name was Jamie.
33:41And she just had this really awesome sort of punk rock,
33:45a little glam sort of girly look that I really responded to.
33:50I love the proportion.
33:51I think it's really nice.
33:52You really knit her waist in.
33:54It's very sweet, yet it has a toughness to it, too.
33:57It might be a little bit too much on the left shoulder.
34:00The minute I see those kind of details on her lapel and the rip in her stocking,
34:05I go, no, because she's out of control.
34:08Do you know what I mean?
34:09Yes.
34:10And yet, it's fabulous.
34:11Congratulations.
34:12It is divine.
34:13I think that your muse would be really happy to wear this.
34:17Thank you, boys.
34:18You may leave the runway.
34:22Let's discuss the high scorers.
34:24Rami.
34:25I have to say, I like that somebody focused on tailoring, but adding that hat to it.
34:31As soon as she came out with the hat, that was it for me.
34:34It just felt too forced.
34:35I do like the ruffled shirt.
34:38I like that as a business shirt.
34:40I think it was very smart, the way he used the trouser, and I thought the construction
34:43of the shirt was good.
34:44I wasn't sure about the print of the shirt.
34:47Drama.
34:48It lacks drama.
34:49But it's very well made.
34:52Shall we move on to Austin?
34:53What I love is the way the jacket comes straight to the waist, and then the skirt goes out.
34:58The construction of the neckline bothered me slightly, but I think the overall effect was great.
35:03He loves a woman.
35:04He loves making a girl look girly in that way.
35:08Mondo thinks about the big look and the micro details, and he has a great eye.
35:13It was so fresh and modern, and I think it was very much what people are doing right now, yet a new interpretation.
35:19If I have one criticism for Mondo, it's that it's a little too stylish, you know?
35:24Like, it gives the woman absolutely nowhere to go with it to make it her own.
35:28And then it's hard to wear the outfit any other way.
35:30And then it's hard to wear the outfit.
35:31It's like just wearing it straight off the runway.
35:34So let's talk about our three lowest scores.
35:37Jarell's look here is exciting.
35:39I see a thought process that I like.
35:42It is sort of over the top, but there's an artistry to the way the pieces are mixed together, the prints.
35:47But still, all of that stomach is not something a girl would ever want to show on the street.
35:52I don't care how far downtown she is, you know?
35:55Jarell, he just put his head down and went for it.
35:58He got this part right, but totally missed the concept to take it into a dress.
36:02And I want to see him grow as a designer.
36:07When Michael's look came out, I thought, really?
36:10It was collapsing.
36:11Why wouldn't he put a backing behind those shorts?
36:13He's such a good craftsman, too. I couldn't understand why that happened.
36:17I felt bad for his model, too, because you could just see she didn't feel comfortable.
36:22I just didn't feel confidence from either of them once they both came out and stood in front of us.
36:29Anthony comes across to me, especially in today's challenge, as a bit lazy.
36:34The fit was very nice on the top, and it was clean, and it was understandable in that sense.
36:39It's just a question of whether we can judge him on the fact that he didn't use fabric from the street.
36:44Well, I guess he made a purse and a turban and a belt, so is that 50%?
36:49That's my issue with it. That's where I am.
36:51And it's got nothing to do with his muse.
36:53I like that after all these weeks of him doing nothing but dress, suddenly he did pants.
36:57That's a good thing, and I love jumpsuits. Nobody loves a jumpsuit more than me.
37:01Oh, I love a jumpsuit. I find them so chic.
37:03No, I love them.
37:07So are we all agreed?
37:09Agreed.
37:10All right, well, let's bring the guys out.
37:14Designers, one of you will be named the winner, and one of you will be going home.
37:27Designers, it's clear you had a great time with this challenge, but one of you will be named the winner, and one of you will be going home.
37:36Rami, you are safe. You can leave the runway.
37:41Good luck.
37:45Mondo, Austin, one of you will win this week's challenge.
37:50And that designer is...
37:54Mondo.
37:56Congratulations.
38:01Well done, Mondo. You're through to next week, and one step closer to that grand prize.
38:06You can leave the runway. Bye-bye.
38:08I've been waiting for this, and it feels so, so good.
38:15Austin, we loved your design. It was a really cool look. You can also leave the runway.
38:27Jor-El.
38:29You're safe.
38:31You can leave the runway.
38:32Thank you very much.
38:36Michael.
38:37Anthony.
38:39One of you will be in, and one of you will be out.
38:43Michael, it's clear that you had a tough time with this challenge.
38:46You had serious construction issues, and if you're going to show us something that bold,
38:52it has to be perfect.
38:54Anthony.
38:56We saw very little inspiration from your muse in your design.
39:00It was a nice outfit, but you played it too safe, and you didn't embrace the spirit of the challenge.
39:08Anthony.
39:12I'm sorry to say you're out.
39:17Michael, you're safe.
39:28Okay, I'm sorry.
39:30Honey, I'm smiling, so you don't know.
39:33Okay.
39:35And I have cute shoes.
39:36You have cute shoes.
39:37Okay.
39:38You can leave the runway, Michael.
39:39Okay. Thank you.
39:41Anthony.
39:45Thank you for being part of All Stars.
39:48You are an All Star.
39:49I am.
39:54It has been my pleasure.
39:57I wanted to push myself in this process to be the absolute best that I could be for Anthony, and I have superseded my expectations.
40:07I will miss the designers.
40:09Hi.
40:11I've met some beautiful people.
40:13I want you to dry those tears and fight harder.
40:18It has truly been an amazing experience.
40:20I'm going to miss the competition, but I don't think that I had to stay here to the end to do what I needed to do.
40:26I have no regrets.
40:28I have absolutely no disappointments this time around.
40:32I'm good.
40:34Next, on Project Runway All Stars.
40:37Let's make this a fashion face-off.

40:57There's a cozy spot for him in the bottom.
40:59I'm going to wipe my **** with the vest.
41:01If the gloves need to come off, then it's about time for them to come off.
41:03I wish I had never seen that.
41:05She looks like a bore.
41:07This look didn't push any creative boundaries.
41:09These two looks are so similar.
