00:01Previously on Project Runway All Stars...
00:03Your challenge is to create a party dress
00:06that must include your own journey of love.
00:10Ooh.
00:11I love to wear baby doll dresses.
00:13It looks like a maternity gown.
00:14These garments represent so much more than just fashion.
00:17You need something else to wow the judges.
00:20Yeah.
00:23There is something tragically romantic about this dress.
00:27I really loved what you did.
00:29Really?
00:30It feels very edgy.
00:31Very modern.
00:32The winner of this week's challenge is...
00:34Helen.
00:36Woo!
00:37Somehow this got away from you.
00:38It's a mess.
00:39It is sad.
00:40And why the hanging appendage?
00:43Benjamin, you had a low score.
00:45But you are safe.
00:47The eliminated designer is...
00:50Kate.
00:51I shouldn't have second-guessed myself.
00:53Not on Project Runway All Stars.
00:5514 of the best designers from Project Runway are back.
01:00And this time the competition is bigger than ever.
01:04Each week their skills are tested to the limit as they compete for the largest prize in runway history.
01:11Who will be cut?
01:14And who will have it all sewn up?
01:17This is Project Runway All Stars.
01:30Hi.
01:31Hi.
01:32Five weeks in and ten of you remain in the competition.
01:38Well, as you know, we like to push you creatively on All Stars.
01:43So I want to introduce you to this week's inspiration.
01:48Take a look.
01:53Paddington Bear?
01:54Oh, I'm stuck!
01:56No!
01:57I have a collection of him at home!
01:59Paddington Bear is very iconic.
02:01When I was growing up, my grandma had like this ridiculous collection of Paddington Bears.
02:05It's so silly and it's so cute, personifying such an icon.
02:10It's adorable.
02:12Hi!
02:15Paddington Bear.
02:16The famous children's story has been adapted for the big screen and will be released in movie theaters this winter.
02:22But what's the challenge?
02:24So to find out more, I can't think of anywhere better to begin than at the place Paddington started his own adventure.
02:34We are sending you to Paddington Station in London, England.
02:39London!
02:40And there's more.
02:49I've arranged for a very special guest to join you at Paddington Station to reveal the challenge.
02:54Your flights have been booked and you leave in just a couple of hours.
02:58Time to get back to Gotham West Apartments and start packing for London!
03:03I will see you back here on the runway in a couple of days.
03:08Have a great trip!
03:10Thank you so much!
03:11Bye!
03:12We're going to London!
03:17I love this band.
03:18Me too.
03:19We're in Paddington Station and I'm just super excited to find out what the challenge is.
03:35Are you excited?
03:36I'm trying to figure out who this guest is.
03:39Maybe it's Paddington Bear.
03:40Who are we supposed to be dwelling on?
03:42I think it's Prince Harry.
03:43He's got it going on.
03:44Look who it is!
03:46I see Zan and I'm like, oh, yeah, that's right.
03:51This is not a vacation.
03:52Hi, designers.
03:53Welcome to London.
03:55What are you doing here?
03:56This is my hometown, so I wouldn't want to miss your field trip for the world.
04:01As you know, Paddington Bear is famous for his duffel coat.
04:05And London is often known for its notorious weather.
04:08So your challenge is to design fashionable outerwear for winter.
04:12Oh!
04:13I make outerwear.
04:14This is in my wheelhouse.
04:15That's good.
04:16That is good.
04:17I know that Benjamin works in outerwear, so I'm keeping my eye on him.
04:21So London is your inspiration for this week's challenge.
04:24We set up a very special tour of London for you to take in the sights and soak up the atmosphere.
04:30Your sketchbooks and your cameras are waiting for you outside.
04:33You'll sketch on your tour of London before arriving at the fabric shop.
04:37This week, your budget is obviously in British pounds.
04:40You have 200 quid each.
04:42And after you've bought your fabric, it's back to New York for one day in the workroom.
04:47So designers, come and get your money and head outside to find your eyes.
04:51Your winterwear challenge is now on.
04:54I've never been on one of these.
04:59When I lived in London, I used to see these buses driving around all the time.
05:03Cameras and sketchbooks.
05:05But I never actually went on one.
05:07Everyone, smile.
05:09Mark, look at Big Ben!
05:12Anyone want to know what the time is?
05:14I look so cute.
05:16London's going to be like, I thought we only had one queen.
05:20But look at all these queens from the United States.
05:23Hello, London.
05:25This is my first time out of the country, which is insane.
05:28Yeah.
05:29So this is, it's just unreal.
05:32I love how excited Gunnar is to be in London.
05:37When I was designing menswear, the studio I worked in was here.
05:41Wait, that's where I used to work.
05:43And now it's a hole in the ground.
05:45It's a little threatening to understand that Benjamin is from London.
05:50I'm pretty sure that he's going to come up with something amazing.
05:53I've come back to London to win.
05:55Yeah.
06:02I love the architecture.
06:03It's the best representation of European citizens, I think.
06:06I get inspired by a skyline of the old and new buildings.
06:11So I want to create like a London skyline on my coat.
06:14I am thinking about the functionality of the coat.
06:18I know a London woman is always on the go.
06:21They need something that they can feel confident in.
06:24I'm sketching a jacket that is highly detailed.
06:27It's military inspired, tons of different layers.
06:30My goal is to design an amazing piece that's going to stand out amongst everybody else.
06:36Oh wow.
06:37The first thing that hits me the most is just the position between old architecture in the mix with like very modern buildings.
06:43So it's like this old cement with this beautiful glass buildings and that clash is what I see.
06:48So I'm using those elements to tell the experience that I had in London through this coat.
06:53This is it.
06:54You got me.
06:55All right guys, we got 30 minutes.
06:56Let's make it happen.
06:57I'm getting this.
06:58This is mine.
06:59I saw a fabric that I've never seen here in the States.
07:00I feel like they're so fashion forward with their fabrics.
07:01It's awesome.
07:02Oh my God, I'm so afraid.
07:03Fabric selection is critical for this.
07:04If you don't have the right fabrics, you're not going to get the right results and you're going to go home.
07:06Just make it work.
07:07I can't really find what I'm looking for.
07:10So I find water resistant neoprene.
07:13Neoprene, this is the fabric right now.
07:15I'm going to rock it.
07:16This kind of has color, but not enough color.
07:17I was really influenced by all the ornate details of the fabric that I've ever seen.
07:20I was really influenced by all the ornate details of the fabric.
07:23The fabric is the fabric that I've ever seen in the States.
07:25I feel like they're so fashion forward with their fabrics.
07:28It's awesome.
07:29Oh my God, I'm so afraid.
07:30Fabric selection is critical for this.
07:32If you don't have the white fabrics, you're not going to get the right results.
07:35There are more ornate details all around London.
07:37I found this fabric that kind of has an ornate feature to it.
07:40I'm going to go ahead and get four.
07:42It has this gray, which I like.
07:44Oh yeah, I like this one.
07:46You're 100% using that.
07:48No, not 100%.
07:49I was walking around with this and then I got here.
07:51As soon as I got here, I saw it in the window.
07:53So I pulled it out as soon as I got here.
07:55So I'm having a little issue with Sanjay because she has a fabric that I really want to use.
07:59Can you just tell me if you're not going to use it?
08:01I will promise I'll tell you if I don't use it.
08:03Before the 30 minutes is up.
08:05Yeah, of course.
08:06Hurry the up and decide what you're doing so that I don't have to compromise my design.
08:11Are you getting the gray or not?
08:12I'm getting the gray.
08:13She's cutting it three yards.
08:14I end up not going with the fabric that I really want.
08:17Alright everybody, that's time.
08:18Time's up.
08:19Let's go.
08:20I'm really pissed because I'm going to have to reconsider my entire design.
08:24How sweet.
08:25So cute.
08:26Santa invites us to the penthouse suite in a really fancy hotel.
08:39We enter the penthouse suite and you know it's fancy when the walls are covered.
08:44Not in wallpaper or paint, but in fabric.
08:46Well, we're doing something very British and we're going to have afternoon tea.
08:50Yeah.
08:51Here in this fabulous suite.
08:53I'm desperate to get started.
08:54So we're going to tuck in?
08:55Yes.
08:56Okay.
08:57Come on guys.
08:58Okay.
08:59Oh boy.
09:00We're going to have a proper tea service.
09:02Ah, fabulous.
09:03Not like a coffee mug full of a couple different tea bags that you just keep topping out throughout
09:08the day, which is how I do it.
09:10So what did you guys see today?
09:12Were you inspired?
09:13Absolutely.
09:14The architecture is so beautiful and the buildings.
09:17Compared to New York, everything is very aggressive.
09:19Here, everything is romantic.
09:20I love London.
09:21It has so much culture and so much history in it.
09:24It inspires me to do something amazing.
09:27Here's to some great designs and back to New York.
09:30Cheers.
09:40And we're back.
09:41I miss London already, but time to get down to business.
09:50I'm doing an oversized motorcycle type coat jacket thing.
09:55I know that there are a few people who do outerwear and do outerwear really well.
09:59And so I'm a little nervous.
10:01This is horrible.
10:03Dimitri, how are you feeling?
10:04I feel like you're a little on edge.
10:05My neoprint all kind of crinkled and it doesn't...
10:08Doesn't stain?
10:09Not at all.
10:10My neoprint did not travel well.
10:13It's all crinkled and you can't really press it or steam it.
10:17So I just have to figure it out.
10:23Yes.
10:24So far in this competition, I've been on top once, sort of riding this safe zone.
10:29I have a lot of details that I have to work on.
10:32This is gonna go here.
10:34And I want this coat to be a wow piece.
10:36It's beautiful.
10:37I don't think you have anything to worry about.
10:39Where did my pins go?
10:40Oh.
10:43I'm feeling a little bit irritated by what happened with Sanjay in the fabric shop.
10:47I don't know how I'm going.
10:48I think.
10:49Because I don't really know what my design is now.
10:52The fabric is sending me down a totally different path.
11:00I can't decide the direction of the pleats.
11:02What I decided to do is make a slimline coat, but at the same time play with the pleating
11:06and play with the disposition of fabrics so I can make this move and be rigid and functional.
11:22I started working on it and then I started loving the fabric even more.
11:25Maybe this is just gonna be my coat.
11:27It's really cute.
11:28What I'm working on, it is very London.
11:31So I feel like I could really be on a winner because it's very Benjamin Mack.
11:35Ah, me.
11:36What's wrong with this?
11:37Dimitri, change your thread.
11:38You're right.
11:39If you know Dimitri like I know Dimitri, I think he's freaking out.
11:50Come on, bitch.
11:51He's got a lot of work to do tonight.
11:56Coming up on Project Runway All-Stars.
11:59I'm a little bit jet-lagged right there.
12:01Jet-lagged.
12:02I'm not hearing that as an excuse.
12:03It will work out.
12:05But one day it's not gonna work out.
12:06He becomes his worst enemy.
12:08I am not seeing all-star quality.
12:19I am in a creative mess.
12:22I'm working with neoprene that is crinkled and messed up.
12:26So I'm cutting seven layers of mesh, layer by layer.
12:31I'm moving it down to create an ombre effect.
12:36It's gonna look almost like buildings.
12:38But it's not buildings.
12:39It's just like layers and layers of two.
12:42So you won't see any neoprene.
12:46It's extremely labor intense.
12:48It's a risk, but with every challenge,
12:51I try to go ambitious
12:54because it's Project Runway All-Stars
12:57and I wanna win.
13:03Hello, my dear All-Stars.
13:05Hi.
13:06God, it seems like only yesterday we were in London.
13:08Yes.
13:09Oh, yes, it was.
13:10It was.
13:11Wow, what whirlwinds.
13:13I cannot wait to see what you bought
13:15and also the inspiration that you brought back from London.
13:17Hi, Jay.
13:18Hi.
13:19How are you doing?
13:20Good.
13:21I'm doing a long coat.
13:22Mm-hmm.
13:23And it's military-inspired.
13:24It's got something different about it.
13:26There's lots of style lines.
13:27I'm just worried about your finishes,
13:29like finishing all this off.
13:30That'll be flawless.
13:31You need it to be.
13:32Yes. Thank you.
13:34I like Jay's.
13:35I think it's a little overdone,
13:36but his craftsmanship is like out of this world.
13:39So I really don't think he has anything to worry about.
13:42Hi, Sam.
13:43Hi, Zahna.
13:44How are you doing?
13:45I'm okay.
13:46Good.
13:47Tell me about your coat.
13:48I want to make it kind of like an oversized moto,
13:49going around the sights in London.
13:50Everything kind of had like an ornate feature to it.
13:52Sure.
13:53I'm hoping that it reads well on the runway.
13:55I don't want it to be all gray.
13:56Really?
13:57This fabric may get a little lost in translation on the runway.
13:59Yeah.
14:00So you've got to really go for it with those details.
14:02Exaggerate that collar.
14:04Okay.
14:05Exaggerate the sleeve.
14:06Make sure if it's going to be oversized.
14:07It's oversized.
14:08It truly is oversized.
14:09Okay.
14:10There's lots of Sam in this design,
14:11and that's what I wanted to see.
14:13All right, good luck.
14:14All right.
14:15Hi, Justin.
14:16Hello.
14:17Did you love London?
14:18What are we doing?
14:19Tell me.
14:20One thing that I like about London is how foggy it is.
14:23Uh-huh.
14:24And that inspires my look.
14:26It created a waggling sleeve.
14:29Okay.
14:30And we'll be lining the whole thing with this color.
14:32So this will be a flash of material coming from underneath?
14:35Yeah.
14:36Very good.
14:38So how does this reference London to you?
14:40For me, it's all about just the texture of the city and layering.
14:43This is one of the more tailored pieces I'm seeing in here.
14:46It has to be impeccable.
14:47Yes.
14:48Yes.
14:49You know that.
14:50I do.
14:51I brought this crazy textured neoprene.
14:54Uh-huh.
14:55And this very well-defined tailoring moule.
14:59And the whole idea of London to me was like the disposition with modern and classic.
15:03First thoughts?
15:05I really like it.
15:06Oh, good.
15:07I love the mesh with the more classic.
15:09These sleeves are going to be great.
15:11I like this length, but really focus on how this is going to close here.
15:15And if these fit perfectly.
15:16All right.
15:17I like it.
15:18Good.
15:19I'm going to leave it at that.
15:20So this is the first time that Zana absolutely likes what I have to show her.
15:25Boom.
15:26I found this double-faced wool.
15:28So it's got like this really awesome red.
15:30It's a great fabric.
15:31Yeah.
15:32And I got these awesome toggles.
15:33And I thought, what's more British than toggles?
15:35Well, it's very Paddington Bear with the duffel coat.
15:38So that doesn't hurt.
15:39I appreciate the idea of Paddington here.
15:42Right.
15:43It doesn't work with these clean lines.
15:45This is straight.
15:46This is fussy.
15:47Okay.
15:48Never mind.
15:49Well, I'm going to take your advice thoroughly because you are British, so that works.
15:53And I need it.
15:54It's salvageable, this cocoon shape.
15:57I think it's so on trend right now.
15:59You can save it.
16:00You totally can.
16:01Okay.
16:02Hi, Zana.
16:03How are you doing?
16:04I'm just a bit behind with time.
16:06I found London to be very classic, but it's modern.
16:09I'm not seeing that translated here.
16:11When designing outerwear, it's all about, you know, the pockets, the closures, the collar,
16:16the length.
16:17It will work out.
16:18But one day, it's not going to work out for somebody, and then they're going to go home.
16:21Constructive criticism, it's extremely important.
16:24But if I don't agree with it...
16:26Good luck.
16:28I'm going to proceed and do what I believe is right.
16:30Hi, Zana.
16:31How are you?
16:32I'm a little bit jet-lagged, I think.
16:35Jet-lagged.
16:36I'm not hearing that as an excuse.
16:38It's not an excuse, but you asked how I am, and I'm a little bit cross-eyed.
16:41Okay.
16:42How's that affecting your design?
16:44I wanted to put these in for pockets.
16:46Hang on.
16:47So you can see the contents of the pocket?
16:49You don't like them, do you?
16:51It gets a bit cartoony.
16:54I need the front to look great, and I need this not to look like a trash bag.
16:59From the designers that were on my season, I'm the closest to Benjamin.
17:03I've seen what happens when he gets negative criticism.
17:06He can't get over it, and he becomes his worst enemy.
17:09Okay, all-stars, I am a little bit confused.
17:13I'm seeing some really good designs in here, and I'm also seeing some worrying designs.
17:19I gave you an all-star experience, and I am not seeing all-star quality yet.
17:26Please do not embarrass me in front of the judges.
17:30This is my hometown.
17:32We have to do this well, and you can.
17:34There's a few hours left, and you can do it.
17:37Thanks, Anna.
17:41Oof.
17:42At least she didn't say old.
17:43That's good.
17:44This is, like, my big priority right now.
17:47That's good.
17:48It's supposed to be oversized.
17:49I'm ready to do my fitting.
17:51Bring her.
17:54Hi, Colleen.
17:55How are you?
17:56How are you?
17:57How are you, love?
17:58I've got you in a really awesome coat.
17:59It's wintertime.
18:00Yeah.
18:02I think the most important part of any challenge is the fit.
18:07I love it.
18:08I just need to see where this sits on you.
18:11The most important part of this look for me is the shape.
18:14I'm trying to get the color right.
18:16I'm in it to win it.
18:17In this challenge, I think my biggest competition would probably have to be Fabio.
18:22We need to bag this one.
18:23I like his look, but I'm pretty confident I've got the W on.
18:30Zana's, like, making more oversized.
18:32My model's so lanky that I like the oversized look on her.
18:35I'm definitely going to go with what Zana suggested.
18:37I'm wearing London.
18:38Yes.
18:39I'm just relieved that my piece is almost finished.
18:43Where it's at is perfect.
18:44I think I need to fit it here and then flat out.
18:47After putting the coat on my model, I realized I need to get my model in ways.
18:52I'll figure it out.
18:53I still have a lot of work to do because this coat is so complex and I want it to be perfect.
18:59I can't remember which is the front and which is the back.
19:07The elephant in the room is what Benjamin's working on.
19:10I don't even know where he's going with it.
19:12Unless you're on the verge of something really new and different, I'm really concerned about what's happening over there.
19:18Hey guys, 30 minutes!
19:27It looks crazy on me, but it doesn't look crazy on her.
19:30There are problems with Sam's work. It's sagging.
19:33This jacket needs that understructure that's needed to make a jacket look right.
19:37Guys, that's time.
19:38I think she's really in trouble.
19:40Coming up on Project Runway All-Stars.
19:46Let the torture begin.
19:48I like it, but I don't think London. I think Oslo.
19:51Fabio, he had a pretty dress, but it was not coat.
19:54I love it.
19:55It was a dress.
20:05We're back.
20:06Jack, Jack, Jack.
20:07Don't come back.
20:08It's the morning of the runway.
20:10I still have a lot of work to do, and it has to look perfect.
20:14So I'm trying to do my best to finish it.
20:17I like it, but I don't think London.
20:20I think, like, Oslo.
20:22Yeah.
20:23Dimitri's got stiff icicles.
20:25It's like stalactites or stalagmites.
20:28I don't ever know which ones.
20:29One goes down, one goes up.
20:30Whatever he's doing is a little stiff, and I don't want to wear a stiff, crunchy jacket.
20:36Hey, y'all.
20:38Hey.
20:39It's supposed to be short.
20:40I'm doing a bracelet sleeve.
20:42I need to figure out how the collar's gonna, like, lay on you.
20:45My model walks in, and I'm like, I need to try to fit this on you.
20:49Let's, you know, let's work this out.
20:50If you're walking in, it falls.
20:52Just push it back up.
20:53Just like...
20:54Now my collar won't stand up, and my lapels are just kind of, like, there instead of being, like, having a nice roll to it.
21:00So I'm a little concerned.
21:01Yeah, I'm a little nervous, but I'm not gonna lie.
21:04I think Sam has loads of potential, and she knows a lot of techniques, but it's one of those coats that you would see in, like, a department store.
21:11It looks like something I've seen a million times before.
21:14Okay, it's time to go to the Chi haircare salon.
21:18Let's go.
21:19We'll go with the wet look.
21:22Very sleek.
21:23I want her hair to be like she was caught in the rain, in the London rain.
21:28Just, like, blow this back a little bit.
21:30Yeah.
21:31I feel like a high pony.
21:32Bring out, like, her Iggy Azalea.
21:34Let's go to the Mary Kay Color Design Studio.
21:37I'm going for a Brigitte Bardot.
21:39We're gonna use the Mary Kay eye gel.
21:41It looks like you.
21:42Something, like, a little smoky, so she's kind of dark and edgy.
21:46Maybe a wing eye on the bottom lid.
21:49It's one of my favorite colors.
21:50Rich fig.
21:51I like that.
21:56See you in the front.
21:57Isn't it cozy, cozy, comfy, comfy?
21:59I really like this jacket.
22:01My model is looking really strong.
22:03My coat is looking really strong.
22:05I'm feeling great.
22:07Okay.
22:08I think Jay has the tendency to over-design.
22:11You made a gray coat.
22:12You're now covering a gray coat with a vest.
22:14And so I think Jay kind of has to find that balance.
22:17I think I'm gonna leave it open.
22:18I really wanted to add pattern to my look, so I grabbed a snakeskin bag from the QVC wall.
22:25I like the snakeskin.
22:26Okay, guys, you have 15 minutes left.
22:29I get my model in her final look, and she looks absolutely stunning.
22:35Oh, yeah, open.
22:36I spent a lot of time making this really, really perfect.
22:39And I'm really excited to see this walk down the runway.
22:42I love it.
22:43Fabio's dress.
22:44I think he had a pretty dress, but it was not coat.
22:48Because you cannot put this dress on anything else with that tight, short sleeve.
22:53It's a dress.
22:54Let's the torture begin.
22:56Five minutes, guys.
22:57Five minutes.
22:58You're letting go edge.
23:00Cute.
23:01Ben, you might want to put your clothes on her.
23:04Yeah, I just have two stitches there.
23:05Ben, you have five minutes.
23:06But it's just a coat.
23:07It's good.
23:08I like Justin's look a lot.
23:09I think it's the mixture of, like, the oxblood and the plaid that he chose.
23:13I think Justin's got this in the back.
23:15Ben, get your coat on.
23:16I feel really good about my design, and I definitely feel like my design is worthy of a win.
23:22Hands up!
23:23Runway!
23:24So cute.
23:25There's a lot of competition around.
23:26It's really gonna come down to how the judges are feeling.
23:31Bye, Mommy.
23:32Coming up on Project Runway All-Stars.
23:34I don't love the front of the coat.
23:35It's something I've never seen before.
23:36I don't feel the London influence.
23:37Why so drab?
23:38Oh.
23:39The winner of Project Runway All-Stars will be given the chance to create their own capsule collection with QVC, and will appear on QVC's Spring Fashion Week, a fashion spread in Marie Claire in a position at the Mount.

24:36Hi.
24:37Did you have the best time?
24:40Yes.
24:41Is it amazing?
24:42Yep.
24:43Well, to celebrate the arrival of Paddington on the big screen, we sent you to London this week, where none other than Zanna set your challenge at Paddington Station.
24:52Your tour of London and shopping at the best of British fabric stores inspired your winter outerwear.
24:59So, who's judging your looks tonight?
25:02First, one of the most iconic names in American fashion, Mr. Isaac Mizrahi.
25:07Can I eat?
25:09Cheerio.
25:11Our first guest is an Emmy award-winning star and a self-confessed Project Runway fan.
25:18From Will and Grace to the Starter Wife, Smash, and her new show, The Mysteries of Laura, please welcome to All Stars, Deborah Messing.
25:27Hello, designers.
25:30Our next guest was named British Model of the Year by the British Fashion Council.
25:34She's also a singer-songwriter with her music featured on True Blood and Boardwalk Empire.
25:40Please welcome Karen Elson.
25:45The judges and I want to see how your London experience influenced your designs.
25:50Have a great show.
25:58All right.
25:59I went very, very ambitious with it.
26:04And I'm loving the result.
26:06And I think it's very modern, it's very artistic, and it's extremely different.
26:17It's modern, it's very me, it's exactly what I want to do.
26:23She's got a bit of an edge, but the way a London girl dresses.
26:26She's so cute.
26:27London is completely in my DNA.
26:39I love the styling.
26:41I love my coat.
26:42I think the silver dipper is like really popping, standing out, and I'm just hoping they love it as much as I do.
26:48It's done to perfection.
26:58Oh, nice day.
27:00So well done.
27:02My model is looking really strong.
27:05It's very you.
27:06Absolutely.
27:08My coat is looking really strong.
27:11Just the vibe that I wanted to create.
27:23I feel like my look was the best mixture of modern and traditional.
27:28It reminds me of the structures that I saw in London.
27:30Really good.
27:31Yeah.
27:32Thanks guys.
27:33It's got the old world style of the tweed, and it also has this new world style of gunmetal leather lining.
27:39I'm really liking it.
27:44I feel like it has an edge to it that I was looking for.
27:47It's a little big, bigger than I wanted it to be.
27:51My fabric choice is awesome.
27:53It just reminds me of the details that I saw in London, and I just feel connected to it.
28:00The color is great.
28:06Instantly, I'm like, I'm so relieved because I got all of my finishing done, and the color blocking looks so modern, but so English.
28:14And I'm like, damn girl, how'd you do that?
28:17I like the uneven hem too.
28:19She is absolutely gorgeous.
28:21My hands are dripping in sweat because I feel like I have achieved something that I never knew I was capable of.
28:37It's really well designed, and I'm really, really happy with it.
28:39I love my look.
28:50I love how it swings.
28:53It's looking modern.
28:54It's looking edgy.
28:56I think she looks amazing.
28:57I think my stylings point on.
28:59I mean, I really do think I'm going to win this one.
29:07I thought she looked great in the coat.
29:10The sleeve is so cute too.
29:12Maybe I should have closed up the back a little bit more because it's revealing.
29:17Everything back there is different, and that's what I'm aiming for.
29:22I love you.
29:23I love you.
29:27Well, designers, there's a lot of beautiful work on the runway today, so thank you.
29:31Now, if I call your name, please step forward.
29:33Sanji?
29:35Helen?
29:37Gunnar?
29:39Michelle?
29:41Designers, you're safe.
29:42Your work has kept you in the competition, and we will see you next week.
29:46Thank you so much.
29:52The rest of you have the highest and the lowest scores of the week.
29:56And one of you will be going home tonight.
30:02It's time for your critiques, so let's bring out your models.
30:10Justin, we're going to start with you.
30:12Tell us how your London experience influenced your design.
30:16My biggest inspiration for London is the weather.
30:19It tends to be a little bit rainy, a little bit foggy.
30:21Kind of make me serious.
30:23And I inspire my look.
30:25Oh, Justin, I love this.
30:28I think you probably ran out of some fabric in terms of the back.
30:32Having the slit come down to cover her backside, I think would probably be...
30:37She had the night bath size, so why not?
30:40I think it's an absolutely exquisite coat.
30:44The lining, it's beautiful.
30:46It's definitely something I would wear.
30:47I love this coat.
30:48It's a smart thing to go to London and think about plaid.
30:52What I'm most impressed about with this coat is how you were able to make outerwear so flattering.
31:00Let's move on to Jay.
31:01Tell us about how your London experience influenced your design.
31:04I just gravitated towards the landscape of the city.
31:08It was very gray and at the same time very modern.
31:11So I created an outerwear piece that's versatile.
31:14It's a coat underneath and this piece is a vest.
31:17Can you turn around, please?
31:19I have good news and bad news.
31:21Okay.
31:22The good news is I love the back of the coat.
31:24The bad news is I don't love the front of the coat.
31:26Oh.
31:27There's so many things that are going on that are competing against themselves.
31:31Jay, there are some things about this that don't work.
31:34But to me, there are so many things about this that do work.
31:37I think the top of the thing is fabulous.
31:40Mustard and all.
31:41There's just a little bit too much to look at in the front.
31:43Just simplify, I think.
31:45To be honest, for me, I don't feel the London influence.
31:50Dimitri, how did you interpret London in your design?
31:52It's very classic but it's very modern at the same time.
31:56It's moody.
31:57So I wanted to create something classic but modern.
32:01And I used Neoprint and I covered it with mesh and I absolutely love it.
32:07I really appreciate this coat.
32:09I feel the country, you know, I feel London.
32:12It looks a little uneven at the hemline, just a tiny bit.
32:16But, you know, I can overlook it because in general it's very, very beautiful.
32:21This coat is so great.
32:23And I'm mesmerized by this idea of making a coat out of tulle.
32:28That's such a fabulous idea.
32:30I feel like I need new words in the vocabulary to come up with how much I appreciate your talent.
32:35Because I can't find the appropriate words to let you know how much I appreciate what you do.
32:40Thank you, guys. It means a lot.
32:42Hi, Sam. Tell us about your London trip and how it influenced your design.
32:44The thing I noticed the most was that all the architecture had so much like details that was very ornate.
32:51So I was like, I wanted to find something like that.
32:53And I found this fabric, which was like exactly like some of the details that I saw in the windows.
32:58I just don't feel the London influence. England being English. London is...
33:04It's a print.
33:05It's a print, but it doesn't translate from where I'm sitting.
33:07I mean, to be honest, it looks like it could be a pair of curtains. You know what I mean? I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
33:12It's all right.
33:13I like it very much from her head down to her waist. The bottom half is where I have a problem. The lifting up on the sides, the balance of it seems off to me.
33:26The back's beautiful.
33:28This fabric choice is your biggest enemy. It looks like a robe more than a coat.
33:35Okay.
33:36Fabio, let's hear from you. Tell us how your London experience influenced your outerwear.
33:40Well, it was my first time in London and I remember through the tour trip, I looked back and I saw this amazing cathedral and right behind it was this really modern building, full glass.
33:50So I was really inspired by this idea of like classic and modern clashing together.
33:55Fabio, I just love this coat. It looks completely new to me, this coat. Something about the length and the particularly beautiful movement.
34:03I'm mad about that sleeve length and the way it fits but doesn't exactly, it doesn't look tight. She looks comfortable.
34:09Love it.
34:11I kind of feel like I'm developing an unhealthy obsession with you.
34:17You're so thoughtful in your process but creative at the same time.
34:22I think the construction is impeccable. It's something I've never seen before.
34:28Thank you so much.
34:29Benjamin, you know London well, huh?
34:31Well, I mean I'm an Aussie but I lived in London for 10 years so it was nice to be back.
34:37From my design I wanted to draw a little bit on British heritage and do just a kind of fun it girl.
34:44There's something junior about that flounce on the bottom. The design was not inspiring.
34:50I like the fabric but the pockets while I like the idea that you're using a completely different texture.
34:55It just throws me for some reason.
34:57Something about the way it's cut in that fabric is like blah.
35:02There's something inexplicably drab about this that I don't usually equate with you.
35:08Yeah.
35:09It's just why so drab?
35:11Is that a rhetorical question?
35:13No, I mean it like what made you go so drab?
35:17I mean I was drawn to lots of different fabrics.
35:19I appreciate how you cut the fabric and I think the pockets are fun.
35:23I just wish that something else tied them in.
35:25Yeah.
35:26Thank you Benjamin.
35:28Thank you designers.
35:29You've all worked so hard and now we have our work cut out for us.
35:34We're going to deliberate and you guys could have a seat in the backstage lounge and we'll call you back.
35:43Hey guys, what's going on?
35:47I've never had a critique like that before.
35:49Every single one of them loved it.
35:52I think they like the direction, they just wish that I kind of like edited more.
35:56No one saw the print at all, which I had a feeling that would happen.
35:59That was a very exciting runway.
36:02Yes.
36:03Should we talk about Dimitri first?
36:05He is the definition of an all-star.
36:07I was blown away by the artistry.
36:09I felt like he captured something really wistful.
36:12There was a real masculinity to Dimitri's coat.
36:15I thought there was something a little rock and roll about it too.
36:18There's something, I don't know, really moved me.
36:24Let's move on to Justin.
36:25I love that someone did plaid.
36:27It does seem like a love letter to London to me.
36:30I was blown away again by how flattering it was.
36:33You girls didn't like the back so much and I agree to a certain extent.
36:37He could have executed that in a way that you would have liked.
36:40Had more artistry to it.
36:42That's right.
36:43Yeah.
36:44So then let's talk about Fabio.
36:47Fabio's coat was such a surprise to me.
36:49Yes.
36:50Why?
36:51I loved the use of his fabrics.
36:52There was something so playful about it, witty about it.
36:56I just loved seeing the movement of it.
36:58And the pleats.
36:59In the back.
37:00The pleats was so exquisite in the back, absolutely.
37:02It was just so well thought out.
37:08Let's move on to our low scores.
37:10Let's talk about J.
37:12I think there was something about that gray and mustard that just made it too sporty.
37:17The back of the coat worked.
37:19It did.
37:20Yeah.
37:21Yes, it did.
37:22It could have turned into something really magnificent.
37:26And then there was Benjamin.
37:29Well, I'm like offended by that.
37:32He knows better than that.
37:33I mean, we've seen such good things from him.
37:35But it's like he shot himself in the foot by selecting that fabric right off the back.
37:40Yes.
37:41Like I said, it looked like vintage.
37:42Granny takes a trip.
37:43And then you put those pockets on and it doesn't tie in with like any other concept within the
37:47coat.
37:48It's like something you'd buy for your teenager.
37:50Somehow that design he turned in this week was like a resignation.
37:57Let's talk about Sam.
37:58It just seemed like it was placed on and it looked crumpled and untidy.
38:02The way she sent it down the runway was so poorly styled.
38:05It was bad.
38:06And the fabric.
38:07And I felt bad saying it looked like curtains.
38:09It just felt like you said a robe.
38:14So we know who we're sending home?
38:15Yep.
38:16Yes.
38:17Okay.
38:18Let's bring them out.
38:21Designers, one of you is the winner of this week's challenge.
38:24And one of you will be going home tonight.
38:32Justin, you're safe.
38:34You can leave the runway.
38:36Good job.
38:37Dimitri.
38:38Fabio.
38:39One of you is the winner of this week's challenge.
38:41And that designer is...
38:44Fabio!
38:46You guys are gonna kill me one day.
38:47Congratulations Fabio.
38:49Thank you so much for your time.
38:50Thank you so much.
38:52Thank you so much.
38:53And you can leave the runway.
38:55Good job.
38:56Dimitri.
38:57Fabio.
38:58One of you is the winner of this week's challenge.
39:00And that designer is...
39:03Fabio!
39:04Yay!
39:07You guys are gonna kill me one day.
39:08You guys are gonna kill me one day.
39:10Congratulations, Fabio.
39:12Thank you so much.
39:13What an honor.
39:14And congratulations to you, Dimitri.
39:17Thank you, boys.
39:18You can leave the runway.
39:21It's a pleasure to meet you guys.
39:22Out of the five challenges so far, I won two.
39:25It blows my mind.
39:26It's amazing.
39:27I took my time with it, and I'm super happy.
39:30Did you win?
39:34Congratulations!
39:35I'm so proud of you.
39:37And now, the hard part, and our lowest scorers.
39:44Jay, this week you're safe.
39:48You can leave the runway.
39:49Good luck, guys.
39:52And that leaves Benjamin and Sam.
39:54Benjamin, you succeeded in giving us something young,
39:58but not necessarily fresh.
40:00The proportions were off, and the overall design was drab.
40:03It feels like you're not bringing your all to All Stars.
40:06Sam, we could see your vision, but you totally fell short on execution.
40:13Your coat was poorly styled, and your fabric choice didn't do you any favors.
40:21Tonight, the eliminated designer is...
40:23Benjamin.
40:24Which means, Sam, you're still in the competition.
40:40You can leave the runway.
40:42I'm sorry.
40:43It's all right.
40:47I'm still in.
40:48Oh, my God.
40:50I know, I'm like...
40:52I never want to be there ever again.
40:55Benjamin, what can we say except thank you so much for joining us on All Stars?
40:59Thank you for having me.
41:00I had so much more that I wanted to do, but I'll do it outside of here.
41:05We know you have a great future, so we wish you all the best.
41:09I would say I'm definitely one of the better designers,
41:12and I have a much stronger attention to detail and finish.
41:16Shenzipu.
41:19You're amazing.
41:21This is not going to be the last runway show for Benjamin Mack.
41:29Next on Project Runway All Stars.
41:32This is a fashion gamble.
41:41Shanzi, your fabric is brocade, and your event is bachelorette party.
41:45There's a fabric in here that's not what it's supposed to be.
41:48Was your fabric on the brocade section?
41:50Yeah.
41:51Because I don't think it's brocade.
41:52Mind your business.
41:54I think you're the one to beat.
41:55Niska bothers me to help.
41:57I think Georgina's being nice.
41:58It was aggressively bad.
42:15I think you could identify some kind of things or something that's been marked as a reference.
42:16I think the fourbacks have quite seriously marked as you.
42:17I don't see any talk in that one.
42:18I think you have time to do so.
42:23You have a╨╕╨▓╨░╤О╤В ьДдыкЕ.
42:27I think the threeable techniques is much more solid.
42:31Number two, you'll notice upon what it's supposed to be some kind of growth.
