01:14President Nicolas Maduro. Venezuelan Vice President Delsi Rodriguez warned that the South American nation has an organized, conscious, and empowered people and government willing to defend peace and sovereignty.
01:25The Vice President denounced the U.S. Attorney General Pam Bond in statements as part of imperialist strategies to destabilize governments that do not respond to U.S. interests.
01:34Rodriguez also emphasized that with these policies, Washington is only trying to justify invasions, assassinations, and humanitarian crises around the world.
01:43Colombian senator and presidential precandidate Miguel Uribe Turbay passed away on Monday after several days in critical state. The day before, Uribe had undergone emergency surgery at the Fundación Santa Fe Clinic, where he remained hospitalized after suffering a setback in his recovery due to a hemorrhage in the nervous system.
02:0938-year-old Uribe, who was running in the upcoming presidential elections in Colombia, was shot three times, twice in the head, in an attack during a campaign rally in the city of Bogotá on June 7. He remained in an intensive care unit for more than 12 months with episodes of slight improvement.
02:2738-year-old Uribe Turbay was a lawyer and had a master's degree in public policy from the University of Los Andes. The senator came from one of the most influential families in Colombia politics. Turbay belonged to the far-right conservative Democratic Central Party and was the grandson of Julio Cesar Turbay Ayala, former president of Colombia from 1978 to 1982.

04:54Cepeda added that he hopes that the perpetrators of Uribe's murder are punished under criminal law and that political violence disappears in both Colombia.

05:39And this Sunday, during the commemoration of the 248th anniversary of the founding of La Vega in southwest Colombia, at least four civilians and two police officers were injured after an attack on a police station.
06:01Authorities report that the attack was carried out with drones, gunfire and explosions amidst the fear of the people who took refuge in jobs open to the public. The explosions reached the police station and other nearby houses.
06:14Municipal authorities made an urgent appeal to armed groups committing crimes in the area to end the violent actions that threaten the lives of civilians.
06:22An inequality, the attorney general's office announced on social media that it was launching an investigation into the death of newborns at the University Hospital in the city of Guayaquil.
