00:00I went to Topago in April 2024, went with a large party of 16 people, had a great time
00:07playing golf.
00:08We went swimming, fishing, all around the island.
00:11I'd really say I loved the island, I loved the people, had a great experience.
00:15Unfortunately, on my last day, I had an accident.
00:18I was swimming in the sea and very rarely, exceptionally, I was attacked by a shark.
00:25British national Peter Smith thanked the staff at the Scarborough General Hospital
00:30for taking care of him.
00:32The incident occurred on April 26th at the Tiltle Beach on his last day of his vacation
00:38in Tobago.
00:39I got quickly taken to the hospital in Tobago.
00:41I have to thank all of the doctors and the nurses in the Tobago Hospital who really saved
00:46my life.
00:47I'd also have to thank all of the people because the people were really kind to my family whilst
00:51they were there.
00:52They couldn't do anything but they looked after my family really, really well.
00:56I then, after I left Tobago, was flown to Miami and spent five further weeks in hospital
01:00in Miami.
01:02Mr. Smith thanked the people of Tobago for their hospitality and vowed to return.
01:08So I have to thank all of the people of Tobago.
01:11They couldn't have taken any better care of me and my family and I have to say I really
01:15do like Tobago.
01:16Despite what happened, I thought it was a beautiful place with really nice people.
01:21I wouldn't go back again.
