00:00Kidnapped businessman Shashri Anand Ramprasad was confirmed as the country's 38th murder
00:05victim after his remains were discovered in a shallow grave in Dubai along Circular last
00:09weekend. Ramprasad had been kidnapped while delivering goods in the enterprise area on
00:14November 21, 2024. His family later paid a ransom for his safe release, but that never
00:21materialized. The family of Ramprasad police say positively identified the body of Ramprasad
00:26at the Forensic Sciences Centre yesterday. However, investigators say an autopsy is expected
00:32to be performed on Ramprasad later this week to determine exactly how he died. Ramprasad's
00:37remains were found in a shallow grave in a bamboo patch in Dubai on Saturday last. The
00:41find came two weeks after the remains of missing technician Winston Rostad was found in a shallow
00:47grave by police near Riverbed, not far from where Ramprasad's remains were found. Rostad's
00:52work ID was found near the shallow grave. Meanwhile, the man that Rostad was last seen
00:57with in October last year, Junior Taylor, still remains missing. Investigators believe
01:02that this area could be a dumping ground for corpses used by a ring of kidnappers and murderers.
