A mother and her one-year-old daughter who were reported abducted from a relative's home on Thursday, have been located and are now at a safe location. A suspect is in police custody.

00:14According to a police report, around 2 p.m. on Thursday, an informant arrived at a Kanupia
00:19police station and reported that he had received a phone call from a relative of the victim,
00:25informing him that a 20-year-old woman and her infant daughter were at the relative's
00:29home located on Gandy Street in St. Helena, when the victim's alleged ex-boyfriend and
00:34father of her child came to the house and took them against the mother's will.
00:39The man is said to be a registered firearm holder.
00:42However, around 9 p.m. on Thursday, police went to the suspect's home and recovered both
00:47the woman and her child, who are both reported to be in good health.
00:51The two are now at a safe location.
00:54The male suspect was taken into police custody, and officers of the Kanupia police station
00:59are continuing investigation.
