00:00.
00:23So, 2-1 to Celtic at half-time at Pataudry.
00:27Well done to Kerry McCabe from Bells Hill,
00:30who wins the ÂŁ3,000 Paradise Windfall tonight
00:34with ticket number P4922,
00:36and that's Kerry McCabe from Bells Hill.
00:40It's been an interesting first 45 minutes,
00:43Simon Donnelly, the first 15-20 minutes or so,
00:46Celtic, lots of possession but didn't really do anything with it,
00:50then they began to get into the game,
00:52the goal, of course, changed things,
00:55and then that long stoppage in play as a member of the crowd
00:58got medical treatment,
01:00Aberdeen got an equaliser straight after that,
01:02and from then, right until Celtic got their very late second goal,
01:05it looked like Aberdeen were the team more intent
01:07and trying to get a second.
01:09Yeah, the first 45 was quite eventful there when you
01:12talk your way through it like that,
01:14but I thought Celtic, for the majority of it,
01:16were in control,
01:18showed a reasonable amount of brightness going forward,
01:21got the goal in front,
01:23and as you say, after the break that we wish the spectator all the best
01:27in recovery,
01:28it was Aberdeen that took the initiative then,
01:30got the equaliser out of nothing,
01:32and then really put Celtic under a little bit of pressure
01:35towards the half-time break,
01:36the seven minutes of extra time proved to be valuable for Celtic,
01:41and a nice better player for James Forrest,
01:44managing to find the other wide man, Yang,
01:47and that was the one that took Celtic in at the break,
01:502-1 up.
01:51Yeah, just having a look at social media comments there,
01:53I think Navrotsky and Yang, the two goal scorers,
01:56are getting the biggest credit,
01:58but a number of players have done well, Anthony Ralston,
02:02James Forrest, of course, down the right-hand side,
02:04Luke McCown has looked lively,
02:06Callum McGregor as usual, high standards,
02:08but has any player there that wouldn't normally be in the starting 11
02:11done something, do you think,
02:13to maybe make the manager think twice about a cup final against this same team?
02:17I'm not so sure, I'm not so sure.
02:20I mean, they'd have to be replacing someone like Dyson Maeda
02:23or Nicholas Kuhn, for instance.
02:24Yeah, and I just, I did think that when we were talking before the game,
02:27and I was going to mention it,
02:29football can serve up corky little moments,
02:32you know, somebody pulls up with an injury,
02:34so that's why these guys have got to kind of go out there and shine,
02:37I thought Nevrotsky had a decent first half there again,
02:40popped up with a goal,
02:41James Forrest looks really sharp,
02:43Yang scores a goal, he looks reasonably bright,
02:46whether they're going to do enough to
02:48house somebody from that front three, I don't know.
02:52And to be fair, it's not, nowadays especially,
02:54it's not really about getting a place in the starting 11,
02:57it's showing the manager that they're ready,
03:00if after 60-70 minutes he looks and goes,
03:02right, who's going to make a difference?
03:04You did it last week at Putaudry, I'm going to put you on.
03:07Listen, I remember a cup final,
03:08when I think Lublin Mirabczyk had to go off,
03:10and my good pal Jackie Mack came on,
03:12after 20 minutes at Hampden, and scored against Hibbs.
03:15You've got to be ready.
03:16You look at Nevrotsky coming in against Rangers.
03:19Never talks about it.
03:20Never talks about it, no, no.
03:22I would as well if I scored my cup final.
03:24But you have to be ready, you have to show the manager you're ready.
03:26Nevrotsky's a great example of that coming in against Rangers this season.
03:29So these guys will be focusing on, as well as the fans up there
03:34and the demands and standards of Celtic to go and continually win.
03:38Yeah, I don't think there's any doubt that Cameron Carter-Vickers is back to full fitness,
03:42that he will be the first choice of the manager and just about every Celtic supporter,
03:47regardless of how Mike Nevrotsky plays.
03:51But, as Simon says, to know that these guys are fresh, match-fripped, match-sharp,
03:57and ready to perform.
03:59Considering as well that it is this team, this opposition,
04:03that Celtic will be playing in the cup final.
04:06Brendan Rodgers looking for a third treble, no Celtic manager has ever done three.
04:13John Steen did two.
04:23Silver underway at the start of the second half.
04:26And I fancy there will be some twists and turns in this game.
04:31There's an early shot there.
04:33Did it take a deflection?
04:35Yeah, I think it did.
04:36Keskenen appeals to the referee and wins that appeal as he gets his shot away.
04:41And it just deflects off the back of Austin Trusty.
04:45Behind for an early Aberdeen corner at the start of the second half.
04:57Celtic looking for three points.
04:59They'll be taking them up to 91 for the season.
05:01Ball landed there at the feet, rather fortuitously, of Anthony Ralston.
05:05Celtic looking to counter-attack, but Johnny Kenny is dispossessed.
05:11Shaden Morris now for Aberdeen.
05:17In comes the ball, it's a decent delivery.
05:19It's a really good delivery across the face of the goal there.
05:23Good play from Aberdeen, and that's a really dangerous ball.
05:29Just waiting for a touch.
05:31Thankful for Celtic, it runs right through it.
05:33Yeah, if any Aberdeen player decides to attack that Dorrington cross,
05:37they're in for a tap-in because it was too far out for the goalkeeper to get.
05:41Keskinen across to Jensen.
05:48He's looked lively in the first half.
05:50Across goes Yang to cover, Jensen gives it back to Morris.
05:55Oh, it's almost an inch-perfect pass through the middle there,
05:59but it's cut out well by Jeff Schlutte, Aberdeen have it, though.
06:04Morris couldn't pick out Nisbet.
06:07Forrest is he dispossessed by Clarkson, he is.
06:14So Aberdeen starting the second half with a little bit of bite to their game.
06:20The way they finished the first, they'll feel really disappointed
06:24that they went in at half-time behind.
06:30Not that Celtic, on the overall balance of play, didn't deserve the lead,
06:33but just the way that the end of the second half, the end of the first half was going.
06:38Yeah, especially getting the equaliser at that late stage,
06:41and then forcing Celtic under a little bit of pressure towards half-time.
06:45James Forrest storming down the right-hand side, lovely cut-back.
06:48Great chance, great chance, great goal, what a move.
06:52Luke McCowan with the finish, he goes straight to James Forrest to celebrate.
06:56Celtic have a third goal, just three minutes into the second half.
07:00That's another assist for that man, James Forrest.
07:04Luke McCowan takes this really well, we've seen him not take one on the right foot in the first half.
07:10This one's real composure, takes the touch, assesses the situation, powers it in with the right foot, fantastic finish.
07:19James Forrest, he just saw the space, and just thought, I'm going to go for it, and just attack the space.
07:28Picks him out nicely, and once the man goes to the ground, Luke McCowan's aware of that, he knows he can take another split second and set himself.
07:35There he is there, and then he powers it in with the right foot.
07:39The first season as a Celtic player for Celtic fan Luke McCowan, and that's seven goals for his troubles.
07:51He's really made himself a bit of a fan's favourite, and combining with the legend that is James Forrest, who gets another assist.
08:04And a great evening's work for James, it would top it off nicely if he could get a goal himself, but Celtic getting a two-goal cushion is reward enough for him.
08:13Here's it, Nowrotski, Forrest now again, causing all sorts of problems, through the middle, oh, first touch was so key to that move for Johnny Kenny,
08:25as James Forrest laid it into his path, but he just couldn't get the ball under control, and it went straight through into the arms of Mitov.
08:31Yeah, it's a great idea, fantastic play from Forrest again, trying to assist another of the strikers, just gets away from Kenny.
08:38Kenny, as it opened up through the middle.
08:50Now some space perhaps here for Graeme Shinny, can he pick out a teammate? He can, edge of the area, Nisbet just wanted too much time, and he was dispossessed.
09:00Celtic have it with Bernardo back to Trosti.
09:10So Celtic getting two goals at two crucial times, but they've lost out now, edge of the area, Shaden Morris, can he finish it?
09:18It's a good save from Sinisalo, chance again into the six-yard box, cleared away by Nowrotski.
09:24Celtic have gifted Aberdeen a couple of guilt-edged chances in this game.
09:28Yeah, I think it was Luke McCown that caught out, I don't know if he was looking for a free kick.
09:32Celtic break again.
09:33At the other end now, Johnny Kenny goes down, that must be a penalty, surely?
09:36Well, he got back up onto his feet quickly, and I wonder if that helped the referee make his mind up,
09:43but it looked to me like Mitov had brought Kenny down.
09:46Yeah, he went from end-to-end there, the fact that he's not looking for it, let's have a look again from this angle.
09:52Nah, Mitov does well, comes out, grabs the ball, yeah.
09:55End-to-end stuff there.
09:57Yeah, and fair play to Kenny for being honest.
10:01I'd have taken about three tumbles and put my arms up in the air, and got nothing.
10:08It's a really open first few minutes of this second half.
10:14Yeah, highly entertaining stuff, and what many people saw is a bit of a dead rubber,
10:19but as is so often the case, entertainment can come out of nowhere in Scottish football.
10:24And that's a nasty late challenge there from Kevin Nisbet on Austen Trust.
10:29This is the one here.
10:31Yeah, it was Luke McCown, wasn't it, caught in possession.
10:34Yeah, he was doing that a little bit, he's looking for a free kick, and then it...
10:37could fall anywhere.
10:39Because Navrotsky gets the final touch away.
10:42Yep, Sinisalo did well, but Celtic a bit fortunate.
10:45And again, fortunate.
10:47Almost gave it away, but coming forward now.
10:51James Forrest now onto his left foot, James Forrest!
10:55Oh, it's saved by the legs of Mitov!
10:58James Forrest can't believe it, look, McCown had his head in his hands,
11:03I think he thought finally his mate was going to get the goal.
11:06Jared had the arms aloft there, I expected this was it coming.
11:09The keeper just gets a great foot on it.
11:12Luke McCown can't believe it for his team-mate.
11:14He's raging.
11:15Under normal circumstances these would be going in for Forrest, but it just seems that...
11:22A rueful smile from the man himself as well.
11:24Circumstances are conspiring against him, but he's had an absolute fantastic performance tonight as Forrest.
11:30I don't think he's going to last in 90 minutes, so he knows himself he'll probably have another maybe 10-15 minutes perhaps,
11:38unless the manager thinks, well, I want to keep my wingers rested for the games coming up.
11:43I think he's saving his goal for the Cop Final.
11:45Imagine it was a one-off.
11:47Has it got to be in the league?
11:48No, it doesn't.
11:49It can be anywhere.
11:50Just every season.
11:51Save it for the Cop Final.
11:52Yeah, there was some suggestion, it had to be a league goal, but it just has to be a competitive goal for Celtic.
11:56It's been a terrific game up until now.
12:00Yang, great play.
12:03Luke McCown, now on the left.
12:05Cross, header!
12:07Johnny Kenny gets his first goal for Celtic on 53 minutes.
12:12Look at the celebration from the Irish youngster.
12:16Great play from Luke McCown down the left-hand side.
12:19Put it onto the head of Kenny, he still had quite a lot of work to do,
12:22but this downward header gave Mitoff no chance, and Celtic are well clear in this one.
12:27What a start to the second half.
12:294-1 ahead at Putaudry.
12:31It's a really good goal.
12:33Luke McCown with the cross, it's a different class than the quality.
12:36As they break again here.
12:38It's played into him from Yang.
12:41He just puts a lovely ball, inviting.
12:45It's a decent run as well across his man.
12:48Powers the header into the net.
12:52A moment he'll never forget and hopefully can build on that.
12:55Yeah, great play initially from Yang to hold off the...
12:59Aberdeen players get the incisive pass to Luke McCown.
13:04Another player who's been on song tonight.
13:06And McCown onto the head of Johnny Kenny.
13:10It's a hug there from James Forrest.
13:13What a night for Johnny Kenny.
13:20I want to say the youngster, but he's not that much younger than Arnie Engels.
13:25Well, a bit of a wrestling match there with Papa Gay and Anthony Ralston.
13:34Look, it caught Ralston there, but he managed to get back.
13:37Rectify the situation.
13:39Jimmy Tillian doesn't look too happy, conceded four goals against Rangers at the weekend.
13:50They've already conceded four tonight against Celtic.
13:54And there's still plenty of minutes left on this if the Celtic players are up for it.
13:59There could be more to add to that score line.
14:24Nice little lay-off there from Kenny now, playing with that spring in his step.
14:28As is this man here, James Forrest, already got two assists.
14:32And just a little miscommunication there between Forrest and McCown.
14:36As the ball rolls through to Mitoff.
14:39He just held up on his run there.
14:44As James Forrest tried to find his team-mate.
14:52You have to say, with the eight changes,
14:54you have to have served up some decent quality tonight.
14:56Very good goals.
15:01Oh, James Forrest almost weaved his way through.
15:04Four Aberdeen defenders there.
15:05He'd have been through on goal, the last one, but...
15:09What was it to be for Forrest?
15:11Oh, Celtic are playing with real confidence now.
15:14Oh, Celtic are playing with real confidence now.
15:15Oh, Celtic are playing with real confidence now.
15:24Forward comes Sloup over the halfway line.
15:26Oh, that's just cynical from Gay.
15:28That's an easy yellow card for Stevie McLean.
15:30That's just frustration, isn't it?
15:34Yeah.
15:35The game's been taken away from Aberdeen quite quickly in the second half.
15:39We've seen it time and time again this season with Celtic.
15:42Quick blast of goals.
15:44Before you know it, you're 4-1 down, that's just total frustration.
15:47Jimmy Teelan makes the changes then.
15:54That he feels are required to try and turn this one around.
15:59If Aberdeen can get a second goal in the next few minutes,
16:03it might get the crowd behind him and turn this game a little bit.
16:08A three-goal cushion against any team is difficult to close,
16:13let alone against the champions.
16:16The champions.
16:25Yang.
16:31Bernardo almost played in Kenny there through on goal,
16:34now Aberdeen find some space,
16:36Keskenen on the inside left channel,
16:38back comes Callum McGregor as well as the Celtic captain.
16:46Jack McKenzie, one of the players that's just come on.
16:52Dispossessed well though by Ralston.
16:55Draws on the frustration of Topi Keskenen and wins the foul.
17:01The pass on to Sinisala was there but he was just waiting,
17:04he knew the challenge was coming there.
17:06Anthony Rawson using his experience there against Keskenen.
17:09They have to have it deep in their own half with Navrotsky who got the scoring started.
17:14Seems like such a long time ago.
17:18McGregor up to Navrotsky.
17:19McGregor up to Navrotsky.
17:23McGregor up to Navrotsky.
17:28Gorg Jaușovski.
17:29He's on the loose side right when he started.
17:30Things like such a long time ago.
17:31He's on the loose side right after he started.
17:32Seems like such a long time ago.
17:34Globje Serschlaoiu!
17:36Slip.
17:37McGregor up to Navrotsky.
17:38Slip.
17:39McGregor up to Navrotsky.
17:44To Nevrotsky.
18:02Yang.
18:07Schlup.
18:11Cleared away.
18:14Nevrotsky.
18:17Dispossessed, the ball through the middle there.
18:20Kesskinen just couldn't get a first touch,
18:23an important touch from Ralston,
18:25but Papaget wasn't able to pick out a team-mate with a rather lazy cross.
18:33Yeah, it was slack in the end, it was in a dangerous situation there,
18:37Ralston managed to get an important interception,
18:39but it fell nicely to Papaget,
18:41it was a bit of a waste that one.
18:43It was a bit of a waste.
18:53Paolo Bernardo sliding challenge goes in.
19:00Well, we're on the 60-minute mark now.
19:03There's going to be changes for Celtic,
19:08Alistair Johnson coming back from injury,
19:09Rio Hattate coming on as well for Callum McGregor.
19:13and I must admit to being a little bit concerned with just any players coming on in this match.
19:26You've seen some of these late, frustrated Aberdeen challenges.
19:29With Aberdeen being the opposition in the cup final with the greatest respect to the players and all the rest of it,
19:34I'm not thinking they would set out to make sure a player can't play in a cup final, but...
19:39Well, I suppose that is what I'm saying.
19:42There's always a danger, it's good to see Mr Johnson back there.
19:47Yeah, I fancy that's maybe why he dies in my aid, there's nowhere near this game.
19:50My thought process there was the Aberdeen players thinking Hattate who had an excellent game,
19:56manning the match that we can come on at 4-1.
19:58Could it be more pain for them to go the other way?
20:03I hear what you're saying.
20:08Good play from Celtic, first touch from Rio Hattate, straight at goal.
20:13Goalkeeper makes the save though.
20:20Manager of course wants to keep his athletes tuned when they get there by playing football,
20:37so it needs to give them minutes.
20:40And Alistair Johnson will of course relish being back on the pitch as the ball comes in there
20:45from Morris and clear the way for the Aberdeen throw inside.
20:48the final half-hour now.
20:52Aberdeen 1, Celtic 4.
20:58The ball breaks to the edge of the area.
21:02Shot from Clarkson, away by Navrotsky.
21:06Aberdeen still have it though.
21:09Clarkson again, out to Mackenzie.
21:12Taken down by Jensen.
21:19Taken down by Jensen.
21:24Gate.
21:29Comes across, watched all the way by Sinisalo.
21:33Lisbeth down in his hunches.
21:34Atate having to stretch for that one.
21:35Didn't like the way he went down there, but he's okay.
21:36There's Mackenzie.
21:37There's Mackenzie.
21:38There's Mackenzie.
21:39Clarkson again.
21:40Clarkson again.
21:41Clarkson again.
21:42across to Dorrington now.
21:43Out to...
21:44out to...
21:45Morris.
21:46Well marshalled by Schlut.
21:47Well marshalled by Schlut.
21:48Schlut.
21:53Atate having to stretch for that one.
21:55Didn't like the way he went down there, but he's okay.
21:57There's Mackenzie.
22:09Clarkson across to Dorrington, now out to Morris.
22:14Well marshalled by Schlut.
22:15Well marshalled by Schlut.
22:26Forward comes Jack Milne.
22:27Substitute defender does really well, picks out Mackenzie.
22:32Inside him is Keskenen.
22:38Palo Verza now.
22:39Dorrington out to Morris.
22:43I've been playing the ball around well.
22:45Morris has got past Schlut.
22:47Can he pick out a teammate?
22:48He can, but the shot there was by Jensen straight into the body of Sinisalo.
22:55It was a similar move to the forest to Bernardo in that first half.
23:02Morris showed a ton of pace there, picking out Jensen, but not enough power to trouble Sinisalo there.
23:07.
23:16.
23:17Celtic coming forward.
23:21through ball there from Alistair Johnson, cut out by Milne.
23:37Ball forward, straight to Navrotsky.
23:41Johnson.
23:43Schlut trying to play it through the middle to Johnny Kenny.
24:01Avardine looking to make another change, but can't until the play stops.
24:14Here's Hatate, lovely one-two with Schlut.
24:17Hatate!
24:18Drives the cross into the six-yard box, but just a bit too close to meet-off.
24:25That time from Hatate.
24:28Yeah, nice football, another little one-two with Schlut.
24:31Going to think it was Forrest he was trying to pick out.
24:33Yeah, going to be changes for both sides at the next stop in play.
24:44Milne.
24:47Back to Mitoff.
24:48Nesbitt.
24:56Nesbitt.
24:57Inviting the run there of Morris, but it's well tracked by Schlut.
25:01Gives it inside to Sinisalo.
25:07McCown.
25:13Forrest.
25:18Yeah, looks like it's going to be a double change for Celtic.
25:31I think Ida and Greg Taylor I can see there as well.
25:41Maybe a triple change.
25:43It's either Taylor or Kuhn, they look alike from a distance.
25:46Here's Schlut.
25:51Dispossessed though.
25:54Aberdeen coming forward.
26:02Clarkson.
26:08Goes long with the pass, but much too close to Sinisalo.
26:13From Leighton Clarkson.
26:17Jamie McGrath and Daba.
26:19Two players about to come on for Aberdeen.
26:26Odai Daba, the Palestinian international.
26:30Jamie McGrath, who's going to be leaving Aberdeen for Hibs at the end of the season.
26:35Still no break and play to get the substitutions made.
26:45Bernardo inside to Navrotski.
26:50Hatati now.
26:51Space on the left.
26:52Yang.
26:53Driving on the diagonal, just shot a bit too much of that one to Jensen, but does well to pick up the loose ball.
27:00Schlup inside, Hatati now.
27:03Will they try a shot?
27:04Well, back to McCown.
27:05And Navrotski does well.
27:06Quickly picks out Alistair Johnson down the right-hand side.
27:07Cross.
27:08Decent one.
27:09And good play from Yang to win that one back.
27:10But...
27:11McCown just...
27:12Not alert to the fact that Yang would win that one.
27:13Aberdeen does well to pick up the loose ball.
27:14Schlup inside.
27:15Hatati now.
27:16Will they try a shot?
27:17No.
27:18Back to McCown.
27:19And Navrotski does well.
27:20Quickly picks out Alistair Johnson down the right-hand side.
27:25Cross.
27:26Decent one.
27:32And good play from Yang to win that one back.
27:36But...
27:37McCown just not alert to the fact that Yang would win that one.
27:41Aberdeen now trying to attack, but Schlup wins it back for Celtic.
27:46Now space here for Yang.
27:47Can he pick out a team-mate?
27:49Oh, he can't.
27:50Straight to Milne.
27:51Behind for a corner.
27:53The opportunity to maybe go himself there.
27:56Unselfish play.
28:02Nisbet for Daba.
28:11That's the first change, and Sharon Morris for Jamie McGrath is the second change for
28:21Jimmy to lean side.
28:29Johnny Kenny comes off for Adamina, and it is indeed Nicholas Kuhn.
28:32Looks not Greg Taylor.
28:33Johnny Kenny got his goal tonight.
28:39He'll be delighted with 70 minutes in the first team for Celtic as one Irishman replaces another.
28:48And as Nicholas Kuhn comes on, you would imagine a player who will feature heavily in the cup final.
28:58Off goes the impressive Yang again.
29:01Got on the score sheet tonight, but it was overall very impressive with his...
29:06just his whole attitude and his whole just willingness to get forward and beat him in.
29:11Right from the first minute when he enticed that foul.
29:14Got the yellow card, two minutes on the clock.
29:17But yeah, he was very positive and grabbed another goal.
29:2170 minutes played, in comes the corner.
29:23Ball breaks to McCown.
29:26Ooh, trying to catch the goalkeeper out there.
29:28Trying to give him the eyes, but...
29:31Ended up being more of a pass-back than a shot.
29:34Ooh, Aberdeen almost...
29:40Giving the ball away inside their own box.
29:43Still with her goalkeeper.
29:56So four changes made so far by Brendan Rodgers.
29:59Still on the bench, outfield players.
30:02Greg Taylor, Liam Scales, Arne Engels and...
30:05Young Sean McArdle, who made his debut against Hibs at the weekend.
30:09The young 17-year-old.
30:17James Forrest still on the pitch.
30:19It's in most of his plays a little bit.
30:21That's the good pitch.
30:22Be to check them out.
30:23Give in Valle, espera big applause.
30:24And but ratheroo Jafms and thenic,
30:25the ball is set off again after in a match.
30:38meteor fell on the couch.
30:39And that's ready for everybody.
30:41The paintbrush.
30:42Long searching ball, taken down by Keskinen.
30:51Ball breaks the way of McGrath, Keskinen with the shot, great block.
30:56Wonderful block there from Mike Navrotsky.
30:59Through his body at that one.
31:02Yeah, he's getting high fives off his keeper there.
31:05He rolls it into the path of Keskinen here.
31:09He does well, it's over for the block quickly.
31:12A good game.
31:15Yeah, every Celtic player that's come in tonight
31:18has certainly taken advantage of the opportunity given to them.
31:21The manager will be delighted with that.
31:24He will, of course, speak to the manager
31:29right after full-time and interview.
31:32You'll be able to see posted this evening on Celtic TV.
31:37Here comes the cross, headed.
31:41Down and now with Bernardo cleared upfield by Schlupp.
31:47Nicholas Kuhn there putting the pressure on Jensen.
31:51Gives it back to Mitov.
31:53James Forrest has switched wings now.
32:03Nicholas Kuhn on the right-hand side.
32:05James Forrest can really play either.
32:07To good effect.
32:08So it's Forrest out left.
32:10Kuhn right.
32:12But it's Aberdeen coming forward.
32:14Mackenzie.
32:15His cross is blocked by Adam Ida.
32:17And it's gone behind for an Aberdeen corner.
32:1973 and a half minutes gone, but it's still Celtic well in command.
32:234-1 ahead.
32:254-1 ahead.
32:43Corner to be taken by Leighton Clarkson.
32:45In swing up.
32:47Good header away there from Alistair Johnson.
32:55Cleared away by Hatate.
32:57James Forrest picks up the loose ball.
32:59Trying to...
33:05I think it's Kuhn that slipped.
33:07Forrest comes forward.
33:09No-one across the face of the goal there.
33:14As the camera pans back,
33:15I hope we see Nicholas Kuhn.
33:17No, it's McCown.
33:18And he looks as if he's in a bit of bother.
33:27Let's watch this again.
33:31McCown goes in there.
33:35Yeah, he catches him with the studs.
33:36It's a strange thing to say,
33:38but I'm kind of glad to see that rather than a twist.
33:40Yeah.
33:41Rather than a twist on the ankle.
33:42It's something that's painful,
33:43but he'll run off, yeah.
33:51Yeah, I think Mackenzie blocked two there.
33:53That was the third attempt that Celtic tried to spring that break.
33:55And he's just, the studs have caught.
33:57Look, McCown there.
33:59Yeah, McCown's got a sore ankle,
34:01but nothing that will keep him from...
34:05contributing to the last 15 minutes of the game.
34:09Should the manager choose.
34:18McCown stretching for that one.
34:20In steps.
34:21Hatate.
34:22Celtic have it now.
34:23Kuhn.
34:24Johnson.
34:25Out of trouble to Navrotsky first.
34:28Now trusty.
34:29Forrest.
34:32I just wonder if Celtic get a penalty with her.
34:34They would give it to James Forrest.
34:48You've got to.
34:49You've got to.
34:52You've got to.
34:55I'm not sure it's the place for penalties though.
34:57There have only been three penalties at Pataudry this season.
35:00And they've all been missed.
35:01I missed one there myself one time, many moons ago, Gerrit.
35:06At least you got the opportunity to miss one.
35:08We get three in the same game.
35:10Wow.
35:12I think I missed.
35:14Craig Burley missed.
35:15And then guess who scored?
35:16Henrik.
35:17Yeah.
35:18Yeah, there's been three penalties, Aberdeen have missed one,
35:23and then two away sides,
35:25can't remember for the life of me who they were,
35:27have missed as well, so...
35:36Ida.
35:45Forrest, corner of the area.
35:47Cuts inside.
35:48James Forrest went for the curler there,
35:50but blocked and cleared away.
36:01Good play from Navrotski,
36:02first touch trying to take him forward.
36:04He was body checked out of it though by Gay.
36:07Celtic get the free kick taken quickly,
36:09here's Trusty.
36:14Forrest again.
36:15Bernardo now.
36:21Navrotski.
36:22Across to Trusty.
36:25And out to Schlut.
36:27Takes a return from Hitate.
36:30Great chance, so a clip of the heels there, surely.
36:42Adam Ida through on goal.
36:45It's a yellow card, then another.
36:48It's a second yellow, and a red.
36:51For Alfie Dorrington, Aberdeen are down to ten men.
37:01I don't think he can have any complaints.
37:02I don't think so.
37:03Also, I think he's got a teammate alongside, but I think Ida's in.
37:06I think Ida's in if he doesn't get any touch.
37:08No, it's through on goal, yeah.
37:09It's...
37:10It's a lovely, threaded pass from Bernardo.
37:12I mean, even if he's not in, it's a yellow card he's getting,
37:15he's not getting a red, you know, it's...
37:17I don't think he can have any complaints at all.
37:19So off goes Alfie Dorrington, Aberdeen down to ten men.
37:22Chasing the game already.
37:24Now they have to do it with fewer players than Celtic.
37:29James Forrest once again in the thick.
37:32Of everything that's been good for Celtic tonight.
37:38Was it Dorrington that got booked in the first couple of minutes?
37:40Yeah.
37:41With Jai.
37:43Yep.
37:47He's always walking a tightrope with such an early booking in the game,
37:51and it's proved to be Dorrington's downfall, perhaps.
37:57The manager could have maybe seen what was coming.
37:59Not one of those ones where he could take them off,
38:01but anyway, Celtic have a free kick.
38:05Dead centre, about 25, 26 yards from goal.
38:09Bernardo is across this, McCown is across it.
38:12Hattati is lurking on his knees in front of the wall.
38:15It's Bernardo with the shot, comes off the wall.
38:19And spins behind for a Celtic corner.
38:23As we head towards the final ten minutes of the regulation 90.
38:33Aberdeen want to bring on Nicky Devlin to shore up that defence,
38:37and sacrifice a forward player, so Keskenen goes off.
38:41And on comes Devlin.
38:43corner taking shot.
38:46McEown to Coon.
38:47Bernardo back to Hattati.
38:49Skips past gate.
38:51Gives it away to Clarkson, but wins it straight back.
38:53Hattati.
38:54Cross.
38:55I think he done.
38:56I think he got in each other's road there.
38:57I think he did.
38:58It's almost a nice pick-out, Hattati.
38:59Quite the way he doesn't think twice about when he sees something,
39:00he just goes and tries to do it.
39:01It's almost a nice pick-out, Hattati.
39:02There's a kid coming back on.
39:03Final change for Celtic then, 17-year-old Sean McArdle for his second.
39:11And then he goes and delivers it.
39:12He'll go and take the pass.
39:15I think he does.
39:16I think he does.
39:17He's got a nice pick-out at Hattati.
39:21Quite the way he doesn't think twice about when he sees something,
39:23he just goes and tries and delivers it.
39:25There's the kid coming back on.
39:26Final change for Celtic then, 17-year-old Sean McArdle for his second.
39:30Ricciardo for his second appearance in the hoops,
39:33look, McCown, having had that knock, goes off.
39:38So it does mean that James Forrest gets another 10-12 minutes to get a goal,
39:43I'm pretty sure with Celtic 4-1 ahead in this match,
39:45pretty much done as far as a contest,
39:49and every Celtic player out there will be desperately trying to get James a goal.
39:53Yeah, I thought he might have taken that free kick.
40:00Another good night for Luke McCown, lovely goal as well on the right foot.
40:04Yeah, he's been involved in so much.
40:06For Celtic tonight as Luke McCown, he can be very pleased with his work.
40:14Loving life in the hoops, of course.
40:30So Celtic will look to get a fifth goal.
40:36Before the end of play, here's Alistair Johnson,
40:39Ida tries to lay it off to Ricciardo, who has it now.
40:44Fix out, Coon well, Celtic trying to forge some space down the right-hand side,
40:49the sliding challenge though from Milne is a good one.
40:51Ida to Schlupf, Forrest, lovely little lay-off there.
41:06Hatate, Ida, what a save!
41:09Ida to Schlupf, Forrest, lovely little lay-off there.
41:14Hatate, Ida, what a save that is, what a save from Mitov.
41:24Lovely little lay-off from McArdle, who was involved in the build-up as well,
41:27but that could have been the goal of the night, but for the great save,
41:31and Coon's been taken out there, surely to goodness that's a free kick.
41:35Referee waves play on.
41:37It was a lovely little touch from Ricciardo,
41:40that would have been a beautiful goal if he did finish the volley,
41:45it was a good save, but a nice little touch from the youngster.
41:51I'd certainly like to see that one again, Celtic have it with Forrest.
41:57Inside, Bernardo.
42:00Hatate, referee's whistle, goes, free kick to Celtic.
42:05Celtic take it quickly, Coon to Johnson.
42:16Cross, Forrest is waiting for it, and Aberdeen head got there first, though.
42:20Hatate away by Devlin, and out for the Celtic throw-in on the far side.
42:2683.5 minutes gone, Aberdeen 1, Celtic 4.
42:30They almost caught Aberdeen out with a quick free kick there.
42:35Johnson, McArdle.
42:43Old ball again, almost broke for James Forrest.
42:49Clear the way upfield, though.
42:50I don't know if the youngster was trying to pick him or either out there,
42:54just found himself in a really dangerous position.
42:57He's looked good, McArdle.
42:59Every time he gets the ball, he looks to play an incisive pass.
43:03Hasn't put a foot wrong, here's Coon with space on the right for Celtic.
43:061-2 with Johnson is a good one.
43:10Coon into the area, header away.
43:13Plenty Celtic players there though, Hatate gets to it first.
43:17Schlupp tidies up and gives it to Nawrotsky.
43:20Allister Johnson crowded out that time but again Celtic's willingness to press and win the ball back when the game's won with five minutes left is a testament to the attitude that the manager has instilled throughout the whole show.
43:38Again, Celtic's willingness to press and win the ball back when the game's won with five minutes left is a testament to the attitude that the manager has instilled throughout the whole squad.
43:54And also I think their desire to just carve out another chance for James Forrest.
43:57They try and score another goal but I think the manager will be really pleased with the attitude again tonight.
44:02Same on Saturday, the league's won and the standards have not dropped.
44:05They demand it every week, every game, so many changes to the team as well tonight, Gerry, but it's been a really good performance.
44:12Nicholas Coon keeps that in as the cross was driven in from Schlupp.
44:18Forrest edge of the area, Geoff Schlupp drives that one over the bar.
44:24Oh, he's hit it in his hands, I think he knows that was a guilt-edged opportunity for goal number five.
44:29Yeah, it's a good chance.
44:32It's a nice little pick out from Mikado again, and it's a miss control that time for James Forrest.
44:36Here we see that one again, the volley, caught it clean.
44:39Perhaps may just have been a toe offside, but a great one-handed save from Mitoff.
44:45Really good move, really good move.
44:47I liked young Mikado's involvement in it.
44:50Yep, clearly got a big future in the game as Sean Mikado's got that kind of awkward look of a 17-year-old,
45:06this natural stage of his life.
45:08The left footers as well, though they always look nicer than right footers.
45:11Got a cracking football brain on him, obviously.
45:13His decision-making's been decent so far.
45:16Oh, Hatate's down holding his knee, see, this is what concerns me.
45:23Hopefully it's just he's got a knock.
45:28The manager is not happy with that challenge on one of his star men.
45:32And it's Papage again, he's one that's just been a bit rash all over the place.
45:38Took out two Celtic players there.
45:43Yeah, the manager is not happy at all.
45:48You don't often see the manager with such anger on his face.
45:55He is not happy at all, that all played out right in front of the dugout,
45:58so the manager got a ringside seat to that from Gay.
46:04I'm just hoping, like you said earlier, that it's impact rather than
46:08it's forced or twisting the knee with the challenge.
46:13The manager's not happy at all.
46:15No, and Rio is still down in some pain.
46:22Manager having watched with the referee and he's been told to just calm down,
46:27but you can understand the frustration of the manager.
46:30It's in a nothing area of the pitch and Gay's taking two Celtic players out.
46:38First one is a bit of a shove, nothing in that, but then...
46:44Now...
46:47A real hefty challenge.
46:57The fourth official is getting involved, and the manager is getting involved with him.
47:14He's not moving well at all.
47:16No, he's off the pitch now, Rio Hattate getting treatment,
47:20I don't think he'll be back on, and there will be some concern from the manager
47:26as to how Rio Hattate recovers from that over the next few days,
47:32and how it settles or otherwise.
47:36So a little bit of a sour ending to what has been a very positive performance from Celtic.
47:42Johnson, forward to Mercado.
47:51Yeah, he does good, he's got great control, hasn't he?
47:54The ball sticks to his left foot.
47:57In comes the cross, headed up in the air by Milne.
48:03Brought down well by Bernardo, Mercado looks for it from Johnson, gets it.
48:08Youngster plays with his head up.
48:10Through the middle, he's got a chance on goal!
48:13Oh, a save again from Mitoff, it's back to Forrest.
48:17Oh, James just shoot.
48:18Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!
48:20Great movement from the young lad again.
48:22Thought he was going to get his first goal.
48:25Oh, lovely pass from Mercado to Forrest.
48:27On the left.
48:30Cuts back inside.
48:31Edge of the area now.
48:32Bernardo tees up the shot and tries to dip it into the postage stamp,
48:36but just can't get enough dip on the ball.
48:40And as we approach the 90 minutes, it's still Aberdeen 1, Celtic 4.
48:45Yeah, it just comes back to Bernardo.
48:47Is it a couple of efforts tonight on goal?
48:49Just can't hit the target.
48:50Try to find that top corner.
48:52This was the youngster when it opened up for him.
48:54It's a decent save and it came out to James Forrest and we're just
49:00willing him to take the shot on.
49:01Yeah, that boy looks a footballer.
49:05As the camera pans to Rio Hatate, sitting on the Celtic bench
49:08with the ice pack round his knee.
49:11He's a player that the manager will definitely want for the cup final.
49:15The concern is that the knee opens up when he makes that challenge.
49:21It's a needless challenge.
49:25Celtic have already lost Jota to a serious knee injury.
49:32I don't want to add Hatate to that list.
49:39There will be four additional minutes, so...
49:44three to go from here.
49:47Celtic have the three points.
49:48Celtic will head to 91 points.
50:02Kuhn through the middle for Ida.
50:08Snapshot there on the turn from Adam Ida.
50:12Just passed the left-hand post of the goalkeeper.
50:14Yeah, you're right.
50:16Yeah, you're right.
50:16Mm-hmm.
50:20one, two, two.
50:25One, two, three.
50:36One, two, three.
50:37Jimmy Tallinn will have to come up with something different
50:42if he's got any hope of defying the odds
50:46and winning the Scottish Cup with Aberdeen,
50:49because this is effectively a second-string Celtic side
50:52that has beaten them comprehensively tonight.
51:07Both teams down to ten men, of course,
51:11with Aberdeen having Dorrington sent off,
51:14and Celtic with Rio Hattati now sitting out,
51:17having already made the five changes.
51:19Alistair Johnson with it.
51:21Nicholas Kuhn now.
51:24Mercado.
51:31Trusty.
51:33Forrest.
51:36Lays it back to Bernardo, out to Schlup.
51:41The seconds ticking away here.
51:45Just over a minute to play.
51:53Yep, the Seagulls know what happens pretty soon.
51:57The fans will leave and they can have their feast and peace.
52:00I thought you were going to break out of Eric Cantor, aren't you?
52:03The way back there.
52:15Milne.
52:16Good clearance out for a Celtic throw.
52:18They used to have a hawk that they released at Pataudry at the end?
52:21They used to have a hawk that they released at the end of the game
52:24to keep the Seagulls away, but I think maybe cutbacks.
52:30Maybe the Hawk flew away.
52:34Oh, lovely play from Mercado, that's great.
52:37Kuhn cleared on the line, who's there?
52:39Oh, it's Ademida! It's a goal for Celtic.
52:44Celtic have a fifth goal by the last seconds of the second half,
52:49just like they did at the end of the first half.
52:52And it's a five-star performance, topped off by Adam Ida,
52:59who scores his 20th goal of the season.
53:02Involvement of the youngster as well, another little first-time flick
53:05with the left foot round the corner, into Kuhn, look at this, nice.
53:10Kuhn gets a shot away, it's blocked in the easy finish for Ida,
53:14but on Mercado, that's a lovely little touch round the corner,
53:17he's showed some real nice touches and awareness since he came on.
53:21He's not been on the pitch long, Mercado, but he's done so much,
53:24every touch that he's had he's done something with.
53:26He's caught the eye.
53:30Looks like a clever little footballer.
53:32Well, despite the fact that Celtic have won 5-1 in a fantastic performance,
53:44the sight of Rhea Hattati limping off with a nice pack round his knee
53:47will be what grabs the headlines.
53:49Bit of a rash kick-out from Papa Gay.
53:53Got the full wrath of Brendan Rodgers as it happened right in front of the Celtic manager.
54:00We hope over the next day or two that the full extent of that injury shows that it's not serious,
54:05and Rhea Hattati will be fit for the cup final.
54:08Having said that, though, the way that Celtic's substitutes,
54:13the way that Celtic's second team, if you like, have performed against Aberdeen tonight,
54:19you would imagine that with or without Rhea Hattati that Celtic are rightly huge favourites for the cup.
54:27Yeah, definitely. And I think, for this guide, I think you've used the words as well, second string.
54:33I don't want to be disrespectful because this is very much a strong first team squad
54:37and the manager made note at the start of the contributions of the players,
54:42but eight changes in a game, Gerry, it cannot be underestimated
54:47and the levels of quality were still there.
54:49That is sensational!
55:05It's a title for Celtic!
55:08Unbelievable!
55:09Celtic have done it!
55:11They always seem to do it!
55:13It's so special!
55:14You can see it before your eyes!
55:16Celtic, we know our history! We make history!
55:46It's greasurable wedcourcous vÀxation!
55:48O zijwear territory!
55:49It is a highころcous GEORGEoor emotional distance.
55:50Look on you, I want to play so this category!
55:51I think you have to play till us!
55:52You know who I use to play and tell us to play?
55:55I'm going to play from my Gauna.
55:57You know what and tag your own character!
55:59I go wherever and play!
56:00I think that's what happened!
56:01And when with that being family, I tend to keep the hands up!
