Since the swearing-in of the new Cabinet one week ago, many have been asking, what about the Congress of the People? Political Leader of the COP, Prakash Ramadhar, was notably absent among the lineup, despite his party being a member of the Coalition of Interests which it is claimed helped to secure the UNC's victory in the 2025 general election. However at a press conference on Monday Ramadhar advised the country to stay tuned.

00:00There were negotiations, there were agreements, and matters are in the works at this point in time.
00:05And I expect, as I know personally, the Prime Minister has, to me personally, always kept the word.
00:13So that is a matter that will manifest itself in due course, and not troubled by it.
00:18Let me just indicate that in terms of getting involved in politics, it has never been of a personal gain or position.
00:27But having said that, there is a level of respect that I knew the Prime Minister will always develop to me.
