The People's National Movement held a Special General Council Meeting this evening, declaring that the battle lines have been drawn. In a media briefing after the meeting, the party made it clear that elections are imminent.

00:14As a result, I've convened a special convention for Sunday the 16th of March, which is Sunday
00:22coming, at City Hall, Port of Spain, and that convention will be called at 10am, at which time
00:29these 41 candidates will be represented to the convention, the special convention, which of
00:35course is the highest decision-making body of the party. And following that convention
00:41at City Hall, we move to a presentation of candidates to the national community
00:48at 2pm at Woodsford Square.
