00:00Welcome back to Hamden Park, it was a wonderful end to the first half that saw Celtic more or less book their place for the Scottish Cup final back in the 24th of May
00:29against Aberdeen, four goals for Celtic, no reply for St Johnston, delighted to say some of the St Johnston fans have left but Peter Grant's still here with me
00:40Peter, it was a great first half but from a St Johnston point of view, what do they have to do to stop this getting out of control now?
00:49Well it's gone from, there's no doubt of that in my mind whatsoever, I'm sure he'll make a couple of substitutions to try and get the energy back in them again
00:57because they made the first error themselves, they tried to play a set play, a by kick, clip it into the midfield, Alistair Johnson does great
01:05and from then on, from that second day of Celtic score and then it was men against boys really, they just turned over, they tried to play out, they were getting caught in possession
01:13Celtic lifted Celtic up, played quicker, played the game much quicker, got opportunities, great finish starting with Callum's goal, a fantastic finish, he slides into the back of the net
01:23and I just don't understand why these teams keep trying to take risks against a Celtic team that are full of energy
01:30and want to play on the front foot and you're trying to play square passes across the park
01:33Is it tiredness now?
01:35Yes
01:35Celtic have tired them out
01:37Absolutely and I thought Celtic started the game quite well, to be fair, the first 5-10 minutes
01:42then I thought St Johnston and Grunia were comfortable sitting in the positions and I thought we made it easy for them
01:46similar to actually St Johnston, I felt we should have kept the wood better
01:51and once we started to do that, keep the wood, whether it was the ball going up the inside and the player running from the outside
01:56or the overlaps or 1v1s with the wide players
01:58then all of a sudden we started to take control, it created more spaces in the box
02:03Adam Ida's link play was great, they were getting third man runs because the space was there to build off
02:08so all round, from 30 minutes we're thinking we've followed a shot at goal
02:12and then all of a sudden you come to half time and you're four up and could have been more
02:15I have to touch on Rio Hitate, he spoke about wanting to get his first ever Hamden goal, Peter
02:21but he's got a unique start this afternoon, he's got a hat-trick of assists
02:26so it's a different type of match ball that you take home but it takes him up to nine
02:30but he's been really productive in that midfield position today
02:34He's just a good player, you know, there's no doubt of that
02:36I mean, even the one for Adam Ida, it was the time when he put the ball across the box
02:39it's got to be perfect near enough
02:41because what he does is, he can play early, the defender gets the block in
02:45but he just takes enough time on it, and I thought it was going to hold it too long
02:48but he can see the picture on the pitch, takes his time, puts it between the goalkeeper and the centre-back
02:52and Adam Ida, where all good strikers should be, in between the sticks, puts the ball in the back of the net
02:56but he's all round game, Hitate, you can just see him feeling wee spaces
03:00he's always looking forward, even for the simple thing for Callum's
03:03he rolls the ball back to Callum, knows he can't get his shot away
03:06so it's the pacing the ball back to Callum that allows Callum to take his time, set himself up
03:11and get the side footer into the back of it
03:13so he's been outstanding, as he has been for most of the season
03:16It looks like he really enjoys when Greg Taylor's in that left-back role
03:20they have that relationship
03:22is that something that in the last two games you've seen the best of Hitate come out of Greg's back in the squad?
03:28Well, you know I'm a big Greg Taylor fan anyway, but I don't think Sloop's let the team down at all
03:32I think he's done it very well because it is different, even for Greg it's completely different
03:36Greg was probably a wide player when he was a youngster, then he's been a left-back predominantly in overlap
03:40but he's been outstanding since he came back into the side
03:43and what you have to do, you can moan about it to imagine that you're not playing
03:47but what you've got to do is, when you go in there then, show the manager you're more than capable
03:52last week he's done that, this week he's done it
03:54and as I say, I would just say to the wide players, stay as wide as you can
03:57and I think there's more goals on it because it's going to be very, very difficult for St. Johnston now
04:01in the respect of that, no matter how much energy they put on the pitch
04:05but when you're four goals down, it's very, very difficult
04:08well, two substitutions that I can see from St. Johnston make that three
