At a TPP political meeting in Crown Point on Saturday night, leader Farley Augustine responded strongly to the voice note currently circulating, which claims to feature him and Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar discussing a collaboration for the 2021 and 2025 elections. Augustine made it clear he wouldn't be drawn into any "foolishness" surrounding the matter.

00:00During that campaign for the 2017 theatre elections, I know what it was to drive through
00:07Roxborough and see our faces plastered alongside that of Kamala Prasad, the Cesar.
00:14We don't even know who put them there.
00:16Mr. Agustin stated that his opponents are now leveraging technology to defame the good
00:21name of the TPP.
00:23But now the miscreants become a little bit more sophisticated.
00:28They have access to technology now.
00:30So I know they will piece words here, piece words there and try to patch it together to
00:35form a narrative.
00:37The TPP leader emphasized that he would not get caught up in any foolishness.
00:43But I want to warn you and to say this, for the rest of this campaign, I do not care to
00:51respond to the foolishness because Tobago has serious issues and because they are short
01:00on ideas, because they failed on delivery, they must concoct whatever they think is necessary
01:08to distract you.
01:10But Topogonians today are smart.
01:13This is not 2013.
