Transcript
00:00That meeting that was held, which was the second meeting that we had since she became Prime Minister, was to really lay a good foundation so that now ministers and secretaries will start meeting.
00:15The MPs for Tobago East and West, they will take over the negotiation on all the issues that I raised, so they have a brief as well that they will be working with.
00:27So they take over the negotiations as our representatives in the national parliament and the secretaries and ministers will also be meeting.
00:40Mr. Augustine said this was the longest meeting he has had as chief secretary with any prime minister of this country.
00:48But five hours is because she really wanted to hear all of the issues, all of the languishing issues that we have, in particular how the central government in its role, its constitutional role and function can continue to enable the THC to execute its function in a way that is satisfactory to the people of Tobago.

01:26You know, but for starters, one must appreciate that in Act 40 of 1996, Sections 31 and 37-2 speaks to two things.

01:51Elizabeth Williams, TV6 News.
