12 athletes from Olympics Wolfpack Gymnastics Club will be leaving these shores on Wednesday 12th to compete at the Excalibur Cup in the US. The tournament is expected to feature some of the best clubs in the country and is expected to take place from the 15th to the 17th of this month. It's one of the first competitions for local gymnasts who are also preparing for the Pan American Games and the Central American and Caribbean Games.

00:00They've been chasing success from young and the journey continues for this crop of gymnasts.
00:06It's another moment for parents to capture as they sparkle before the camera with every intention
00:11to put their best foot forward. For 2025 the objectives are somewhat different and some
00:16continue to look even beyond. Makaya Williams of Tots and Tumblers dreams of going to the Olympics.
00:23Yes I do sometimes I just daydream about it and I just feel like I can achieve it.
00:32On the other end level one gymnast from Lee's club Raquel Maslin knows what she has to do
00:38to progress in the sport. You have to work hard very much you have to put yourself to all in
00:44and so you can grow. In the immediate 12 athletes from Olympia Wolfpack Gymnastics Club will be
00:51heading to the Excalibur Cup in the United States. Level nine athlete Makayla Francis will
00:56be competing in all four apparatus against the 62 other level nine athletes. Okay so what's your
01:02what's your approach going to be for Excalibur? Um just to try my best put my best foot forward
01:08no matter what always keep going if I fall it's okay you know continue routine because I just aim
01:14to try because I'm doing a higher level. Alora Morang also of Olympia Wolfpack explained what
01:21it's like competing as a level nine gymnast. It feels like competitive because like you have other
01:28gymnasts to compete against lots of other gymnasts to compete against. What do you think about your
01:33growth in the sport? My growth in the sport I think it's going to get harder. They will be
01:40joined by Annaleigh Edwards as they compete in the tournament for the first time. Meantime Dahlia
01:46Burke of Tuts and Tumblers is preparing for the Pan Am Games and CSE Games. Yes I'll be focusing
01:53more like not playing in gym putting all my focus into gym yeah. All right and what are you hoping
02:05to accomplish today? Um well I would like to come first but I know like if yeah I would like
02:16to come first. The athletes are particularly motivated coming off of a high from the
02:21Currifter Games where athletes like Bren Nawalo Badal won three gold medals and one silver. Well
