A 39-year-old mother of two was gunned down at her Pleasantville apartment on Wednesday afternoon.

The woman who operates a shop from her bedroom window was shot dead by a fake customer.

00:00Shortly after picking up her two teenaged sons from school, 39-year-old
00:05Shazarae Kidney-Ramdas returned to her Building C, Orchid Gardens, Pleasantville,
00:10San Fernando apartment on Wednesday afternoon. She lived here with her sons,
00:14brother and father. To make a living, she operated a small shop out of her bedroom
00:20window. Around 3.30 p.m. on Wednesday, her brother says it's possible someone
00:25pretending to be a customer fatally shot her.
00:55She was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators later recovered ten spent
01:07shells at the location. The brother says Kidney-Ramdas never complained to him of
01:13any threats on her life or of having any issues with anyone and he could not say
01:18anyone would have wanted her dead.
01:35He says his sister was a very straightforward person who was well
01:39loved and she worked hard to provide for her sons.
01:59Investigators say the killing might be drug-related.
