There were a number of robberies over the weekend. Two of them resulted in two women being injured in separate incidents. Meanwhile, 10 people have been arrested for driving under the influence.

00:00 A fire officer was among two people robbed at gunpoint along Ariapeta Avenue in Woodbrook
00:05 on Sunday morning.
00:06 The incident took place just after 12 o'clock in the vicinity of Rosalino Street.
00:11 The two victims, aged 35 and 33, had reportedly bought food along the avenue and had returned
00:16 to their blue Kia Sportage when they were confronted by two men armed with guns.
00:22 The suspects ordered the victims out of their vehicle and took their cash, which was over
00:27 $4,000, cell phones, jewelry and other valuables.
00:31 The assailants fled the scene in the stolen vehicle.
00:34 A woman had to be taken to the Port of Spain General Hospital for treatment after she was
00:38 assaulted by a group of men around 11 a.m. on Saturday along Piccadilly Street in Port
00:44 of Spain.
00:45 It happened after she rebuked a group for robbing her son of his cell phone.
00:49 Both mother and son were in the area to see someone in connection with the installation
00:54 of AC units.
00:55 The bandits stole the son's car, three AC units, valued at close to $3,000 each, before
01:02 escaping.
01:03 An 18-year-old woman was stabbed in a private hire white Nissan B13 taxi in Arima on Sunday
01:09 morning.
01:10 She stopped the car with three male occupants, including the driver, along Omera Road and
01:15 asked to be taken to Arima.
01:17 Upon reaching the vicinity of Samaru Village, one of the men pulled out a screwdriver and
01:21 announced a hold-up.
01:23 He then stabbed the woman repeatedly to her right leg with it and took her cash and other
01:27 valuables.
01:28 The driver dropped off the woman near Printryville and drove off.
01:32 A 36-year-old woman was assaulted and tied up during a robbery at her minimart along
01:37 King Street in Arima.
01:39 She was confronted by three men, all armed with guns.
01:42 They assaulted her before they tied her up.
01:44 They took cash and valuables, including an undisclosed sum of money in roulette machines,
01:50 and then fled the scene.
01:51 In an unrelated incident, a 51-year-old woman was also robbed at gunpoint in St. Augustine
01:57 on Saturday evening.
01:59 The bandits took $5,695 in cash from the victim.
02:04 The swift work of officers of the Eastern Division Task Force has resulted in the arrests
02:10 of two men minutes after they robbed a fish vendor in Sandy Grandy.
02:14 The incident took place on January 18.
02:17 The men ran out of some bushes and the victim stopped his vehicle.
02:20 One of the bandits pulled out a gun and robbed the man of $3,500 and a cell phone.
02:26 Police launched a manhunt and the men were held in some bushes a short distance away.
02:32 In addition to the stolen items, a homemade shotgun and one round of ammunition were seized.
02:37 Ten people have been arrested for driving under the influence.
02:40 It happened on Saturday when officers of the Debe Highway Patrol Unit conducted an exercise.
02:47 A total of 45 persons were stopped and administered breathalyzer tests and 10 people, ages 26-44,
02:55 either failed the breathalyzer test or failed to give a breath sample to the officers and
03:01 were subsequently arrested and charged for the offense.
