Police are trying to identify the body of a man that was found near the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex on Thursday morning.

00:22Welcome back. Police are trying to identify the body of a man that was
00:27found near the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex on Thursday morning.
00:31The deceased was said to be a man of East Indian descent, clad in a dark-colored pair of trousers
00:37and long-sleeved shirt. According to reports, at about 8.30 am, security guards attached to
00:43the hospital observed the body on the ground near the northern fence of the compound and alerted
00:48the police. A team of officers responded. The body was viewed by a district medical officer,
00:53who informed investigators that there did not appear to be any visible marks of violence on
00:58the deceased. As a result, the body was moved and a post-mortem ordered pending identification to
01:04determine the cause of death. Police believe the deceased to be a homeless man who was known to
01:10frequent the area. Police say they've seized guns and ammunition while responding to a report of an
01:18explosion in Felicity. According to a TTPS statement, officers responded to a home on
01:23Makan Street on Thursday morning. There, they say they found a Celtic shotgun and two 9mm pistols,
01:30including one pistol with a scope. According to police, officers also found dozens of rounds of
01:36assorted ammunition, including 22 rounds of hollow-point 9mm ammunition. There was no word
01:42of any arrests in connection with the find. Police have arrested 15 people during a warrant
01:50exercise in South Trinidad. According to a TTPS statement, the exercise began on Thursday morning
01:56and wrapped up early on Friday morning. Police say they executed a total of 21 warrants.
