Conor Orr on Kyle Shanahan's future in SF

00:00I mean, it seems absurd, right? Kyle Shanahan is such an unbelievable coach and play caller.

00:04It seems absurd that he would leave there or they would trade him.

00:07What are you hearing about that? Because last night was really a debacle.

00:11Last night was rough and there's going to be a big turnaround, I think a turnover in San Francisco.

00:15But if you look at Shanahan's career to this point, there's been a couple of those valley

00:19seasons where, you know, they lost a lot of games and they got Nick Bosa. You know, they lost a lot

00:24of games and they got a couple other high draft picks that were able to help them rebound quickly.

00:28And that's what this team needs. They need cost control talent, especially if they're going to

00:31pay Brock Purdy. You had to pay Debo Samuel. You had to pay Brandon Ayuk. And so you're in a lot

00:36of trouble. You've got to find a left tackle to replace Trent Williams at some point. And he's

00:39so important to that roster. And so, yeah, I think it's all about turning that over. I don't see him

00:44going anywhere. I could see a coach getting traded this cycle, but not Kyle Shanahan.

00:49I would look at Kevin Stefanski in Cleveland, right? I mean, this is a guy,

00:52two-time coach of the year, and you have Mike Vrabel on the staff. And so Mike Vrabel's work

00:57with Deshaun Watson before. And if Cleveland ever wanted to recoup some of the assets from the

01:02trade, why not explore the market for Kevin Stefanski? And that's not saying he's not

01:05awesome. He's the best head coach they've had since they've reborn in 1999. But I think a lot

01:11of teams would be interested in Kevin Stefanski.
