All the Line Moves in Texans vs Jets on Thursday Night

The Jets have been unimpressive but the Texans are badly hurt, Nick and Femi dicuss which side is the best bet

00:03yesterday on the show. We didn't break it but we talked about it. Stephon Diggs out for the season

00:07for the Texans. Nico Collins a week away at least from returning. We think Nico will be back next

00:12week for the Texans when they host the Detroit Lions. Where are we at right now with the Texans

00:18and Aaron Rodgers and the Jets and Aaron Rodgers thinks that like putting cayenne pepper in water

00:23is like the fountain of youth. You go to any like health food store in the country

00:27and they're going to sell you a $13 drink with water and cayenne pepper. I've had them before.

00:32It is not the fountain of youth and they also taste like you know what.

00:36Yeah this I think a really really interesting game not just from a line movement standpoint

00:41but how people are talking about this game. This game has drawn a lot of attention. It's the Jets

00:45of course the Jets game is going to be of interest. It's in prime time. This team isn't super

00:49polarizing since like two years ago and then the Houston Texans with all the injuries that they

00:53have step on digs. Nico Collins both those guys out digs out for the rest of the season. But

00:57what's interesting with this one is that a lot of people are sort of surprised that the New York

01:02Jets are favored in this game. I've seen a bunch of tweets and a bunch of people saying like oh wow

01:06how are the Jets who are 2 and 6 favorite over the 6 and 2 team. Like it just like a lot of folks

01:10that are still catching up to I guess the betting markets and how these things tend to operate

01:14which may present a chance for some value in terms of the betting because I think you're

01:18gonna get a lot of sharp bettors or quote unquote sharp bettors that like the New York Jets in this

01:22spot. I'm hoping that's what happens and then we can maybe go out a little bit further because all

01:27the money this week has been on game green. This was Pickham on Sunday. Now we're out to two. Could

01:32we ever get to two and a half. We would never get to three. That's wishful thinking. But even two

01:36and a half to where it's like maybe you tease the Houston Texans or get them at like plus 120

01:41on the money line. At that point I'd be interested in Houston but the line movement has been on the

01:45under 43 to 42 and it's been all on the New York Jets pick to two just given the injury status of

01:51the Houston Texans wide receiver core digs out for the season. Nico Collins out still on the IR

01:56although the Jets have injuries as well. I think a lot of people want to play against Houston's

02:00wide receiver status heading into this game on a short week. So hear me out.

02:06How does Texans teaser up to plus seven and a half lose or plus eight lose?

02:12It feels good. Against the Jets. Does feel good. Against the Jets because I'm telling you like I

02:16said this to Baldy. This is like the Jets should win this game by 20 points and then the game

02:21happens and the Texans win 16-14. But do you see by the way the Jets did today? They put Greg

02:25Zerline on IR. They can't outright release him. They made up an injury for him. This is true.

02:31They like apparently he had an injury that they didn't disclose. They disclosed it yesterday. Now

02:35he's on IR today and they signed two kickers. I think Riley Patterson's probably going to be

02:39their kicker. Can't be worse than Greg Zerline. Maybe the Jets win the game by one point. I don't

02:44know. Like Texans teaser up to like plus seven and a half with C.J. Stroud and also like the

02:50Jets run defense is Charmin Soft. Here's Joe Mixon. I don't know. Texans teaser feel pretty

02:56good to me. That's the first game of the week for me. I kind of want to bet Houston just to win.
