Transcript
00:00Hello again. Temperatures up and down this week after a cold start. Tuesday looks an awful lot
00:07milder but it will be a fairly drab day with a lot of cloud, misty, murky conditions and
00:13for some it'll be a fairly damp day as well. Weather systems coming in from the northwest
00:18bringing cloud and rain to Western Scotland, Northern Ireland, Northwest England, a bit of
00:22patchy rain further south as well and the rain likely to pep up through the early hours across
00:28the far north of Scotland. Still pretty windy across the far northeast as well especially across
00:32the Northern Isles. Elsewhere the breeze perhaps picking up a little bit but it's the temperatures
00:36you'll notice most of all turning quite cold quite quickly through the evening but this set
00:42of weather fronts is introducing milder air. So as we run through the night temperatures will be
00:47ticking upwards so that by dawn well the vast majority are a long way from freezing. So a much
00:53milder start to the day compared to Monday but it will be a grey start and for many there'll be
00:58rain and drizzle. Northern England, most of Scotland, Northern Ireland, a bit of light rain and drizzle
01:03mostly over the hills of Wales and southwest England. Much of the south of England, most of the
01:08Midlands will stay dry through the day but it will stay pretty dull. Misty, murky conditions further
01:13north and the rain is likely to pep up those brighter colours there indicating heavier rain
01:18for Northern Ireland by the afternoon. Also pushing into western parts of Scotland so turning really
01:24quite soggy here to end the day. Temperatures will be quite a bit higher than Monday's values,
01:29double digits almost across the board. Perhaps a little colder still across the far northeast but
01:34elsewhere 10 maybe up to the teens across parts of the southwest. So a much milder day but it will
01:40be turning wetter, a very wet evening for Scotland. This band of rain will zip across England and Wales
01:46followed by some lively showers as the winds start to pick up particularly so in the west and
01:51then into Wednesday a mixture of sunshine and showers. So generally a brighter day but there will
01:56be lots of showers coming into the west and across the north of Scotland those showers will be of
02:01snow initially over the hills but perhaps coming down to relatively low levels by the end of the
02:05day. Elsewhere the showers will be of rain, they'll come and go and as I said there'll be some brighter
02:11skies compared to Tuesday a bit more in the way of sunshine but it's going to be colder again.
02:16Temperatures back down into single figures and add on that wind and it really will feel cold
02:23through the course of Wednesday afternoon. Temperatures struggling somewhat, look at where
02:27the winds are coming from on the pressure chart all the way down from the north. So the colder air
02:32is returning through Wednesday likely to stick around on Thursday as well and then we have this
02:38little weather system which has some milder air tucked in but that could bring some wet weather
02:43hitting the colder air on Thursday night and Friday that might have a bit of snow mixed into
02:48it. So as I say things chopping and changing quite a bit through the rest of this week keep up to
02:52date with the latest. There's a full week ahead forecast available on our YouTube channels make
