All good things must come to an end.

And such is the case with all-rounder Dwayne Bravo, who announced his retirement from all cricket.

It was expedited after he suffered a hamstring injury during the CPL match between TKR and Barbados Royals on Republic Day.
Transcript
00:00DJ Bravo turns 41 next month and his body has had enough, hence the reason for calling
00:05it a day from all cricket.
00:07The all-rounder left an indelible mark following an illustrious career, mainly with ball in
00:10hand.
00:11He is also the leading T20 wicket-taker in history with 631 scalps.
00:16He called time on his West Indies career in 2021 and did the same last year in relation
00:21to the IPL to take up coaching with Chennai Super Kings and the Afghanistan men's team.
00:26On Instagram, Bravo stated, quote,
00:29My mind wants to keep going, but my body can no longer endure the pain, the breakdowns
00:34and the strain.
00:35I can't put myself in a position where I might let down my teammates, my fans or the teams
00:40I represent.
00:41So, with a heavy heart, I officially announce my retirement from the sport.
00:46Today, the champion bids farewell.
00:48Unquote.
00:49Bravo won one CPL title with TNT Red Steel, three with TKR and one with St Kitts and Nevis
00:55Patriots, making it a total of five.
00:58At Thursday's CPL Presser, his friend and current TKR captain Karen Pollard, along with
01:03coach Phil Simmons, said the champion will be missed.
01:06He has given cricket a lot and for us in the camp, obviously, it's heartbreaking because
01:14we knew how hard he worked in order to finish this tournament and to be with us, to finish
01:20to the end.
01:21Unfortunately, the master always has different plans and for him, it's heart-wrenching, but
01:27as a champion, he has given it his all and for us as teammates and friends, we will try
01:33to do as much as possible to make him smile at the end of it.
01:37So from all of us, thank you, Dwayne.
01:40Dwayne brings so much more than just cricket to the team.
01:46He's always helping younger guys.
01:48He's always giving advice to everyone and I think that's one of the things that will
01:54be sorely missed, his advice while he's in the team.
01:59Three years ago, somewhere there, he got injured finger and every day you can see him around
02:04the boundary in that tournament.
02:06So we all want to say thank you for everything that he has brought, not only to TKR, but
02:14to all the teams he's played for around the world.
02:16Bravo also tasted success with the West Indies team at the 2004 Champions Trophy and then
02:22the 2012 and 2016 T20 World Cup in Sri Lanka and India, respectively.
